Columbia Restaurant - Ybor City
Many large groups around us and waiter concentrated on them. Food was amazing. Service left a lot to be desired.
This was the best restaurant I have been to. Would definitely recommend it.
Armando our waiter was excellent!
Everything was so good! The food, the service, the ambiance. Definitely get the black beans. Sooo good!
Super yummy 💖
Loved everything we ordered.
Excellent, upscale food. Many unique menu items.
Great wine list. Friendly service.
Haven't been to Columbia in years, and decided to meet family members for lunch. We all had a great time, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The tapas were amazing, as were the sandwiches. And that Cuban bread...
What an amazing landmark with rich history. This place is HUGE! The food was excellent and the flamenco dancers were so fun; loud but fun. The menu is extensive so it was hard to choose. We had 6 in our party and everyone loved what they ordered. Get the pitcher of sangria, made with flare table side!
Awesome restaurant! A great place to take visitors to Tampa.
The Columbia is my go to business lunch location. Great regional food served with attention to detail
Beautiful facility. We really enjoyed seeing the tiles.
Great! Love this place for out of town business guests.
Our second visit, we live in Texas but come to St Pete at least once per year and a visit to Columbia has become a must. Food is
Great as always
We sat in the old original restaurant. Sangria was prepared at our table. It was a cool place to eat. Food was better than average. I would go back for a special occasion.
The Columbia is one of my favorite restaurants that I've been going to for years.
Birthday for a special friend
We have been regular visitors to their St Augustine, FL location, but this was our first time to the Original. The food and service was outstanding, but the history, tradition and atmosphere is what makes this restaurant so special. How many restaurants have been operating continuously for 100+ years? Especially in Florida. If you are visiting Tampa, this iconic restaurant is well worth the visit.
Took my family here. Was very good. Recommend the Tapas. Could have better noise level.
The Columbia experience is a TRUE experience. We had a reservation during the Flamenco show which I highly recommend. Our meals were some of the best we've ever had and tableside Sangria was very tasty. We had the Croquetas de Langosta, followed by the 1905 salad. I had Paella and my husband had the 1952Fideua de Mariscos as entrees. Both dishes were full of seafood and were large portions. It has a rich history and feel. Take time to read the articles on the wall.
Main entrees were delicious but salad was disappointing. While in the past it has been outstanding, this time it seemed overdressed & tired in looks & taste.
Very good service and fun
Food used to be so good. Not sure what’s happened
We have been here several times, but this time was very different. The greet took over 10 minutes after we were seated, the salad was awesome as usual, but between the salad and our entree ( which were ordered at the same time due to the late hour) - was almost 60 minutes delay. When the entrees were received,-- we have never been so disappointed in the food at the Columbia. The steak tips were overcooked, the sea bass was served with cold tomatoes and cold onions in a cold dish...... really? This was the first time for my son in law and mother in law and we were embarrassed. A couple of extras were given ( a dessert) and Anthony stopped by to offer us a drink the next time we came in............ That could be awhile and definitely dont want to be seated upstairs again...
Everything was good. Restaurant was very busy and possibly our waiter was over whelmed. Sat for 10 min before anyone came over. Had to go find water. Once we ordered our server didnt come over for a second round of drinks for what seemed like a long time. Food was great. As always I enjoy the restaurant and again I believe because it was busy the service was below par. No bad feelings and dont want to shed any heat on our waiter.
I made my reservation through Social Tables which is their preferred method. No where on the site was there the option to request a table to see the Flamenco show which was the main reason we were going to the Columbia so that ournout of town guests could experience it. I noted in the special request free form field that we would like to see the show. I made this reservation several weeks in advance. I called the restaurant 2 hours before our time to reconfirm that we were set for the show, and was reassured that it was set. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation time and checked in with the desk. When we were called we were told that we didn't have a table to see the show. We were instead seated in the bar along my my 76 year old mother and uncle and aunt who are in their 70's. To say that we couldn't hear anything is an understatement. Even when the band took a break is was still too loud to have a conversation. The food and service were adequate. Nothing other than an apology was offered. The manager did ask if I had the name of who I had spoken with earlier in the day. What does that matter? Would that have created a table? I am in the hotel industry and have referred countless guests to the Columbia over the years. Based on my experience I cannot continue to refer people
This visit was subpar because of the secondary service issues. Our waiter was great but others assisting him were not. Server bringing dinner was unable to answer our questions, we had to ask for water and one dessert order was incorrect.
This was the first bad experience I’ve had in Columbia. The calamari was so salty they had to be returned. The main ingredient in our anticipated seafood paella turned out to be chicken! No charge for the calamari thanks to our server but overall we did not enjoy the early afternoon service.
Sorry to hear that. We have higher standards, as you know from previous visits. Thanks for letting us know.
Great service by Arnoldo.
1905 Salad was delicious
As always, the food is incredible. I recommend the 1905 salad and the Cuban sandwich.
Was a great Thanksgiving day dinner. Ariel was great, especially after having been there since 11. (Our reservation was at 9 PM) We were a little late getting seated, but that is not unusual for Thanksgiving. Not nearly as late as we have experienced in previous Thanksgivings.
Always amazing there, great food and great taste. Suggest everyone visit at lwast once
Fun evening! Sit in the area with music and dancers!
Regular customers dined on Thanksgiving. Ordered the Thankgiving special. We were disappointed with what was served! Some portions were too much (mashed potatoes), some were too little (sweet potatoe casserole, cranberry relish), and some were not plated (carrots). If we ever visit a Columbia Restaurant on Thanksgiving again, we will order from the regular menu.
We had a reservation for Thanksgiving evening. We were seated on time and the staff were friendly and engaging. And our food was amazing.
Thank you for joining us.
We thoroughly enjoyed everything about the Columbia. Have been there many times for Thanksgiving.
The only complaint I had was that I ordered a glass of sangria. I should have sent it back no flavor of anykind. My fault.
We went on thanksgiving day which was super packed. We did have to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time, but it was worth it! The food was amazing. Tons of options!
We waited about 45 minutes with a 3:30 reservation but it was worth the wait!
