    The Columbia rarely disappoints but tonight it was especially wonderful. My husband and I arrived early for our 9 pm reservation and waited in the Bar while listening to the house band and sipping on a 1905 dirty martini and red sangria. After being called for our table we were seated in the garden room. The restaurant was buzzing with activity but we were quickly greeted by our friendly server. We ordered a large 1905 Salad to split and both ordered the Grouper Jimmy. Our server quickly brought us water and their amazing hot Cuban bread with butter (Yum). All of our food arrived in a timely fashion, beginning with the table-side prepared salad. The 1905 Salad is always fresh and delicious, but tonight the “Grouper Jimmy” topped with blue crab meat and served with yellow rice and asparagus stole the show!! I get this dish often, but tonight was the best I’ve ever had! All of the menu items I’ve had are really good, but the fish served at the Columbia (including their Pompano and Snapper) are the freshest and best in town! To me however, the Grouper with blue crab meat is top notch and the yellow rice with asparagus is the perfect match. My only criticism during this visit was that our server disappeared after our meals were served and we waited 15 minutes after requesting our check. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

    We had to complain about one entree ( pompano in papaillano). Fish was overcooked, chewy and very dry. Did not send back just did not eat it and mentioned to waitress. Manager tried the fish and agreed and they comped us that entree. The crab stuffed grouper was very good.

    Had a nice meal with an outstanding server. The room was incredibly loud and it was difficult to carry on a conversation.

    The service is amazing, the food is incredibly flavorful, and the dessert is awesome. We had a wonderful dinner with our friends. We walked away raving about it.

    Luisa was exceptional!!! I asked for a special substitution and she made it happen and even wrote it down for next time! Literally the best meal I’ve ever had at the Columbia and this is my first time at the original location. I’ve been to the Orlando and St. Augustine locations many times, but this time Luisa made it extremely special! And of course everyone was wonderful, including Alejandro as well. Thank you for making our experience for our anniversary fabulous!!

    The Columbia is a family favorite! The food is always amazing. If you can’t decide what to order I highly recommend the La Completa Cubano a sample of the their best offerings. Save room for the bread pudding. It is out of this world!
