The Columbia is Florida’s Oldest RestaurantSM, founded in Tampa's historic Ybor City in 1905. Family-owned and operated for 116 years, the restaurant has earned acclaim for old-world charm as well as for its award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine and wine list.

Open 365 days a year, including all holidays and serving lunch and dinner daily.

Casual attire is fine, but we don’t allow sleeveless shirts on men in the dining room.

Flamenco Dance Shows: There is an $8.00 cover charge per person for guests over the age of 12.
Tuesday through Saturday dinner reservation times for the 7 p.m. show are 5:30, 6:00 p.m. or 6:30 p.m.
Friday and Saturday dinner reservation times for the 9:30 p.m. show are 8:30 p.m. or 9 p.m.

    We have been there several times over the past several years and love it each time. I couldn’t decide between three entrees and the waiter not only did he give me his favorite but told me about an option not on the menu. I’m so glad I went with his not on the menu suggestion. It was the combo of the entrees and it was the. Best thing I ever had. Thank you Ryan!

     I enjoyed the atmosphere and the service the food was OK all the hype I was expecting better. I’ve had paella from many restaurants, and I would have to say the one from Columbia restaurant was probably the least flavorful . I did enjoy the shrimp tapas, and the cocktails were good.

    The best, like always! I live in the area and always take out of town friends here when they visit. Food is amazing! Service is awesome! The wait staff go above and beyond. So professional & sweet. Definitely an experience.

    We sat in the main dining room, which is beautiful. Had tapas and drinks. We were celebrating our anniversary. The manager stopped by many times to welcome us and check on everything. We received a happy anniversary card that was signed by the while staff and dessert!!!!! What a classy and memorable touch. We love the Columbia :)

    The staff at this restaurant, which I loved 30 years ago, and spent the last 25 years bragging about it to my wife, ruined our 2:30 reservation for our 25th anniversary. I am disappointed beyond description. Bad move, especially for an historic establishment such as this. We were completely ignored for 30 minutes, while other patrons were being greeted, seated, and waited on. I must update my review. We received a phone call from the restaurant at 3:36, assuming full responsibility and apologizing. While our visit on the 28th was disappointing, we decided to go back, unannounced for lunch on the 30th. We got on the wait-list, and we're seated in 10-15 minutes. Our server, Ana, came soon after we were seated, gave us a brief history of the restaurant, and took our drink orders. There was a small mishap during service, however it was remedied quickly. Ana did a wonderful job throughout the meal. The food was amazing. We ordered soup and tapas, and everything was great. We had coconut ice cream and espresso for dessert. When I ordered dessert, I asked Ana if the manager from the previous day was there. I wanted to tell them that we came back and had a fantastic experience. The manager, Benjamin, came to our table and he went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, even giving us an anniversary card from the staff. I am so glad we decided to go back to The Columbia, and look forward to future visits. Thank you Ana, Benjamin, and the entire staff at The Columbia in Ybor City.

    I have been going to the Columbia for almost 40 years. This was the worst food experience ever. When I brought it to the attention of management, all that was said was thanks for letting us know. That’s not the best response.

    We enjoyed our visit to the Columbia. Service was wonderful. Food was outstanding. I highly recommend the 1905 Salad and the Cuban sandwich! The black beans and rice soups and the Spanish bean soups were great. Everything that we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend the Columbia! Be prepared to immerse yourself in Spanish ambiance. It’s a beautiful restaurant.

    Loved the historic restaurant and the menu. The wait staff seemed fantastic except for our server who was more interested in giving tours than providing us with service. That said, I would definitely go back.

    Beautiful architecture and decor, a rich history and excellent food. The wait staff is outstanding. Our waiter shared with us the story of the amazing history of this landmark restaurant. They were very attentive and very skilled at serving and attending to our every need. We love to eat there several times a year and always treat our visiting guests to a very special dining experience there.     Restaurant is beautiful.Manager that was in the check in area was not friendly at all. Never smiles or even said hi. We definitely did not feel welcomed. We ordered some Tapas which were complimentary Cuban bread was hard and very dry, was not prepared with butter which we had to spread our own butter which we were quite disappointed. Ordered Flan which was very small portion and again way overpriced, should have been double the size for the price we paid. We asked for Military Veterans discount to be told No discount, again what a disappointment. We were hoping for at least 25% off entire check. As long as they've been in business you would have thought by now they would have offered this discount. Ajiaco garlic shrimp tapa was over baked and garlic was burnt, which did not taste good at all. Empanadas we're okay could have been better. No special sauce came for dipping or even to crab croquettes. Again no sauce to dip them in. Everything way overpriced. Cuban sandwich was dry and hard, hardly had any ingredients inside, again what a disappointment.

    If you have never been and you’re wondering if you should eat here the answer is always yes! We had the famous 1905Salad, split a Cuban sandwich & their pumpkin flan was delicious! Friendly staff, quick service & lots of love in this restaurant. We will be back again & again!

    The food was delicious. I had a 1/2 cuban sandwich with the 1905 salad and both were very good. My husband had the Cuban platter and he said it was just OK. The architecture and decorations were amazing. Lots of picture opportunities.

    We had a delicious meal with our family. The service was attentive though the bussing of the table between courses was nonexistent. The waiter recommended the champagne sangria, which everyone loved. As always, the Cuban bread was amazing, and we enjoyed our entrees.
