Price: Moderate•Mexican•4.8(43)Logan Square is home to our second Kie-Gol-Lanee location with the first one being in the Uptown neighborhood, recognized by the Michelin Bib Gourmand since 2020.
Kie-Gol-Lanee is a family owned restaurant, ran and operated by the Mendoza Ramos family since 2016. “Kie Gol Lanee” is the phonetic spelling of “Quiegoloani” and the name of the small village in Oaxaca, Mexico where we are from: Santa Maria Quiegolani, which means “piedra antigua” in our Zapotec language.
We take pride in offering a dining experience that connects you with our rich Oaxacan culture. Each recipe comes from our grandparents and parents with a touch of our own flavor inspired by watching them cook while growing up. We've have been fortunate to be recognized by the Michelin Guide, The New York Times, Chicago Tribune and Chicago Magazine among others, but our highest recognition comes when our client smiles and nods after taking the first bite. Join us for dinner or brunch and see what the fuzz is all about!
Akahoshi Ramen
Price: Moderate•Japanese•4.8(474)Akahoshi Ramen is a humble ramen shop in the city of Chicago. Everything is made in the restaurant, including all soups, seasonings, toppings, and noodles.
We are not an authentic ramen shop, though we value the history of ramen, and our ramen is influenced by its past and its future potential. The dish, popularized in Japan after World War 2, is symbolic of both struggle and perseverance. It is both a simple dish, and a fantastically complex one that we treat with reverence and respect.
Roughly translating to “Red Star,” the name “Akahoshi” is a love letter to two cities; Sapporo, Hokkaido, where red stars adorn city monuments, and Chicago, Illinois, where the red star decorates the city flag. Our ramen is influenced by Japanese and American ideals in cooking.
We hope you will join us to enjoy a bowl of ramen, made with the respect and passion it deserves.Cafe Con Leche

- PPaytonUtah •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoLOVED our experience at Mano a Mano- we arrived a little early for our reservation and they were kind enough to wiggle out a way to seat us early. Waiter was so friendly, attentive, and never let our water glasses empty or bread plate clear!! I am lactose intolerant & he made my pasta dairy free (AMAZING) and even went next door to their sister restaurant to get me a dairy free dessert for my birthday. So so kind and went above and beyond. Food was INCREDIBLE- soooo fresh and so many different flavors. 1000/10 would come back or recommend to anyone visiting Chicago.More infoMano a ManoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Logan Square•4.8

- AAmyChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoThe food was delicious! The drinks were outstanding - and so unique; we had olive oil martinis with rosemary. The service was impeccable: everything came out in a timely manner, our server (T!) was super friendly, attentive, and informative. Generous extra touches too: fresh vine tomatoes w/olive oil and salt before our meal, a complimentary watermelon treat after our meal (b/c we indicated it was a special occasion; our niece was visiting from out of town). The ambiance was beautiful: tall ceilings, spacious, gorgeous decor, hanging plants, open windows. Highly recommend!More infoAndros TavernaPrice: Moderate• Greek• Logan Square•4.7
