Not crowded for a Friday - not sure why because the food was outstanding as it always has been . Won't have any problem going back again soon.

I've been coming to Carmine's since the 1980s. The entree portions used to be enormous - bringing out a box with the order was almost automatic. That's no longer the case. The salad size was just right for two people; it used to be that there would be extra for both people. I honestly could have eaten the entree's "two-person" portion myself. The food itself was good, not great. The waitress said the kitchen didn't have mussels for the linguini fra diavlo, so there would be more of the other seafood in the dish, but there didn't seem to be. The dish had a few medium shrimp and few clams. Our bread basket was never replenished. Now the desserts were enormous! We probably could have split one rather than ordering one each. Carmine's is still very good, but definitely a notch below what is used to be.

Fun atmosphere, fun menu with the family style. Service was fantastic. The food is pretty average.

Food is served family style which we love (as a large family). Flavors are great and enjoy the outdoor patio seating.

Everything was great. The only critiques I would make is that they list strozzapreti, which is a type of twisted pasta, as an entree, but they give it a completely different meaning which is a spicy sausage and peppers dish, so that was misleading. Also, I don't like restaurants that put in a "for the kitchen" tip automatically. I take this right off the total tip.

The seasonal ravioli had crab in it. I think it was the favorite dish of the night. We were there for a 60th bday party and the chocolate cake was underwhelming. It was very loud. The service was incredible.

Our family dinner of 8 people was so good. Service was exceptional. Family style entrees are large portions; you won't go home hungry. The recipes are old world and delicious. If you like fine Italian dining Carmines is highly recommended.
