By providing off-site service for corporate, business and private events, Carmine's offers a personal approach for clients and customers to enjoy and appreciate simple, yet satisfying, menu options at their place of work or in the privacy of their own backyard.
Street parking in our neighborhood. The parking lot we used to lease has been sold for development so we are no longer able to offer valet parking. There is a school between Cedar to the south, Bayaud to the west, Washington to the east, and Pearl to the west. It is a short block from us and since no one lives there, it is a reliable place to find a parking spot.

Carmine's On Penn Ratings and Reviews
We have always enjoyed our experience here, from the food to the excellent service. Unfortunately, this visit left us in shock by the terrible, rude service. Very unusual for this restaurant. I hope our next visit will be what we’ve always experienced, nothing shy of perfection.
Carbonara sauce was burnt and very bitter. The waitress did take it off the menu, but had an attitude after and tossed the bill on the table and walked away with out saying anything. The manager was notified to offer an explanation or apology. This restaurant is nothing like it used to be.
Fantastic. Food and service we’re both fantastic. Only downside was they cannot take reservations for more than parties of 8. We had 11 and had to sit at 2 separate tables. Very odd for a restaurant that specializes in family style dinners. Other than that I would recommend.
Disappointed - Carmine’s continues to decline and I would not recommend it for your special occasion. Where they used to serve your first round by the table, now they just plop the oversized plates down for you to serve yourself.
Their recipes have declined and are best described as tragic. The chicken Montana was bland and the sauce broken. Their new signature Shrimp Al Cappo had 3-4 shrimp and was spiced so poorly that some bites had flavor and others didn’t.
The Caesar salad, formerly an amazing dish, was terrible.
I hope they turn it around but until I hear otherwise, we won’t be going back.
In Denver visiting my son. My previous experience at Carmine's had us sitting in the dining room, which was too noisy. This visit, we were placed on the enclosed front patio. Acoustically, much better than the dining room and the heating units were much-needed. Our server (Nate?) was the same gentleman we had last visit (18 months ago). He has a great knowledge of the menu, portion sizes for our group, and wine pairing. My husband grew up in an Italian home with very authentic cuisine. Carmine's rose to my husband's standard of good Italian food. I hope to return when I am next in Denver (from Pittsburgh).
We wanted some solid comfort food, and Carmine's did not disappoint! The servings are huge, so we ended up splitting a pasta dish for 2 (Diavola la Mer) and a salad (Pear Gorgonzola) and that was more than enough. Great Italian wines by the glass for reasonable prices, ambiance of friendliness, and did I mention the warm garlic knots are the bees knees? Can't wait to go back, there is so much more I want to try.
We have been regular customers for many many years at Carmines. Our meal last week was disappointing. We invited two other couples who had never experienced Carmines (unfortunately due to the quality of the food, they will not be returning) The pear salad and rolls were a delicious start. Based on our experienced recommendation, we ordered chicken marsala (our all time favorite which has always been unbelievably tender) and pasta bolognese. My chicken breast was so tough I couldn't cut it with a knife. It was like rubber and 100% inedible. The bolognese was heavy, and very boring. Half the plate of the pasta dish was left over because no one wanted seconds and no one wanted to take the left overs home in a box. The cheesecake and small cannolis were very good. Because we were in a group, I didn't send my chicken back to the kitchen. Our server was friendly but very inconsistent. Out of exasperation, we had to call the manager over to clear 1/2 of the dirty dishes which she failed to remove. WIth tip, each couple paid $100 which was over the top for such a terrible meal. Not sure if this is due to new ownership or an inexperienced chef, but it saddens us to think we may have lost our go-to restaurant.
Went there for my step-son's 20th birthday on a whim (I'd lived close to Carmine's years ago, but had never eaten there), and couldn't have been more pleased. Delicious cocktails for the adults, and absolutely scrumptious food served family style (my FAVE was hands down the veal scallopini, but everything was delectable). My husband cant eat wheat (not strictly gluten free), and there was plenty of delicious food for him to eat. The service was attentive and so professional, our server knew his stuff and answered our many questions cheerfully. We will be back for date night soon!
We had a party of 6 with two small children. The food was very slow. If you're in a rush, don't order apps or salads - this causes your food to come out very slowly. That aside, the food - OMG - so good. We ordered the meat and cheese board, a salad, Pasta Carbonara, and Veal. Everything was exceptionally delicious.
Great foley d and excellent service. Food is served family style so you can sample different entrees or take leftovers home for an amazing the next day. The garlic bread is hot and fresh and a phenomenal way to begin your meal. Parking is difficult as restaurant sits in a residential neighborhood had to park several blocks away
