Great dinner at Campiello, as usual. Excellent cuisine and service. A naples must
It was restaurant week - wonderful selection and value! Service was professional and friendly.
Great place. Food was fantastic. Wonderful view on patio
We were seated in an outside corner table while it was still light out. By the time we ordered, the table was totally in the dark. The waiter, who was empathetic, brought three tiny candles that provided no more light. We had to use the light from our iPhones just to read the menu. We couldn't really see what we were eating by the time our food was served. The only light we had was coming dimly through the dining room window. In fact, we had to ask each other what they had ordered since we couldn't see their plates.
To make matters worse, a party of 10 revelers were making a racket at a nearby table. Whenever one of them said something, they broke out in a riot of laughter and cackles. Clearly, they'd had plenty to drink.
Then, a group of 8 "happy" bar goers joined the scene, only adding to the noise. Not that we should have needed to complain to the waiter, which we did, not once did a manager say anything to that group. Others around us appeared equally upset by the rowdy group who made our dark night even less enjoyable. Their inconsiderate behavior made it difficult for us to carry on a civil conversation.
Simply inattentive and ineffective management. I'm sure they didn't want to upset the group by politely reminding them that there were many others enjoying dinner at the time. There's always a way to handle such situations.
Overall, we had a lousy night and left early. With so many other great restaurants in town, save you money and your sanity and go elsewhere. Adios to our once-favorite eatery.
Another excellent meal! I have been to Campiello's many times and will come again soon. One of our favorite places to dine.
Wonderful place - food tasted great. We sat outside - weather superb, but very dark such that we had difficulty reading the menu and seeing the food. We were first time visitors and next time will be sure to seat inside.
Food and ambiance was wonderful. We sat outside on a gorgeous night and enjoyed every moment. Our waiter, Pierrot, was superb - inattentive and knowledge. He really helped to make the evening special
My husband and I have frequented Campiello's for 14 years. We decided to order from the "Restaurant Week Menu"and weren't disappointed. These were the absolute best dinners that we've had in years! I hope that Campiello's will continue the excellent food that we experienced during Restaurant Week. I have noticed that the portions have become way smaller than they had been.
Favorite fine dining in Naples! Love this restaurant!
Great bar, good food...a little pricey but fun place for dinner
15 minutes for server to show up at the table
Food, service, atmosphere.... The best in Naples
Excellent food and service. We sat outside in the courtyard and it was lovely
Way too noisy. Impossible to carry on a conversation.
We had a Magical experience on a Thursday evening in December watching the snowfall from our table at Campiellos. One of my favorite restaurants in Naples has spectacular house made pastas. This evening we had the cavatelli with pork ragu, superb! The service was attentive but not rushed.
It was a great night. The weather was perfect and had fake snow blowing on the streets, so that was kind of cool to see. It felt like winter in Florida!
restaurant week specials were v good.
My major complaint was that a glass of sangria cost $13!!
i will not be drinking any more of these if I dine here again.
Aaron, our server was v competent!
Everything was perfect, start to finish! One of our favorite places in Naples!!
+ 40 Minuten waitimg time before getting seated dispite reservation, excessive waiting time for the main course but well prepared dishes, very good wine list
Have enjoyed Campiello’s on many occasions. Best atmosphere and terrific menu.
Our party of 4 enjoyed the Campiello dining experience. The food arrived hot and prepared to our order. 2 ordered from the Restaurant Week menu and were pleased with the steak and the Chicken entrees. 2 ordered pasta (pappardelle) and short ribs and the pappardelle sauce was flavorful and rich, as usual. The short ribs were tender and well prepared but the order was a little smaller than usual.
From its earliest days, Campiello was always one of my favorites. Along the way I lost my love for it -- for a number of reasons. This week was the first time there in nearly two years. It was for Restaurant Week, so you need to take that into account. Some restaurants use Restaurant Week to put their best food forward hoping to attract new people and show them how wonderful they are so they will return. I wouldn't think that is Campiello's aim. My "beef tenderloin" was perhaps a 4 oz (or possibly less) filet. At some restaurants they offer huge steaks normally $40 or more as a choice of entree for Restaurant Week -- certainly NOT the case here. But the real disappointment is that when ordered RARE, I expect a red center, not "barely a touch of pink" center. Should I send it back? Naw. If the chef doesn't know the steak he just put on my plate is medium to medium well instead of rare, what's the point? Clearly he didn't care. But my real complaint is that since they won't guarantee outdoor seating, when you arrive for a reservation you may often have to wait -- perhaps quite a while if you don't want to be seated in the dining room where the noise level is deafening. In this case, as is often the case, a group of about 14 or 16 plus a couple more tables of 6 to 8 assured us that just the two of us would not be able to talk to each other without yelling across the table. Sure, some "trendies" love that. We do not.
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience.
Had a wonderful birthday dinner with friends and family.
Great food, great service & ambiance, we always eat here when we visit Naples
Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Food was unbelievable, kudos to the chef. Drinks were great as well
It was great! PLEASE BRING BACK THE TUSCAN CHICKEN on the regular menu!!! It is the BEST dish on your menu!!!!!
Sara was an excellent server. Patio continues to be a magical spot. ❤️
I had requested a table outside because there were 2 severely hearing impaired people in the group and I thought that would work better for them. As it turned out, we were right under a speaker. After many attempts, it got turned down but oh my gosh...what a nightmare for them!
One person ordered the chili and it was cold. so, Sara, our wonderful waitress, brought a new bowl and my friend was happy then. All and all the food/service/atmosphere was just fabulous...it was just the noise level/cold chili that were negatives.
Great restaurant and fun place. True to the beauty of Naples
Ordered steak and it was tough and chewy. Very disappointing since we have been there on many occasions and never had this issue
Great outdoor dining on 3rd. Very good food but not the best pasta in Naples. Pasta portion was on the small side. Service was friendly but slow and restaurant wasn’t full.
Amy of waitstaff was spot on
Food was amazingly delicious!
Location is just beautiful, sat
In the courtyard outside!
Fantastic meal selections!
Excellent and wonderful good great ambiance good watching seen
Our favorite restaurant in Naples. Never disappoints.
Campiellio's really surprised me last night. Over the years, the food at Campiello's was predictable and reliable but it was often overshadowed by the crowd at the bar and I never was wowed. However, we took advantage of an early reservation time to experience their Restaurant Week Offerings and this time they caught my attention. The service was wonderful and authentic, he showed a great desire to see us pleased with our visit. I ordered the beef tenderloin with faro and corn and it was cooked perfectly. It had a wonderful blend of flavor and texture. The Budino for dessert was another show stopper, a sharp butterscotch pudding with I think a crunchy chocolate & nut topping, another perfect combination. Bravo Campiello's. I will be back.
Denise was awesome. If your looking for a great experience request Denise. A true professional.
Campellos is one of our favorite lunch places. Love sitting outside and it’s especially nice when the weather gets a little cooler.
