   Second visit in a little over a month as the place is very beautiful in the building and where it is situated. The first Server we had was amazing and did everything to make the evening to a point where we couldnt wait to come back. The second server was a complete opposite in the attitude was one of indifference. I think she figured by bringing more water from time to time fulfilled her role to us. When she was removing the dishes i pointed out the strip steak i had, had a very pronounced gristle through it and that made the dish less satisfying. Instead of being sympathetic and making some offer to make it better she inferred it was just s strip steak and that happens. My wife’s dinner did not neither did the same steak i had a month ago have it either. The same dinner i couldnt wait to come back for gets a failing mark as does the server. Might i point out also she claimed to have worked kitchens for twenty some years so she was not just “fresh off the boat” .

   The setting is stellar as you drive into Fish Creek Park and there ahead on the right is the restaurant. It is a restored 1901 ranch house and has been open as a restaurant for ten years. The ambience is charming and takes you back to a forgotten past. The menu is up-to-date as is the wine and beverage list. The staff were prompt, friendly and informative. Our party variously chose beetroot salad, a soup of the day, lamb shank, cod, and pork roast. All were excellent, variously buttery (cod), melt in your mouth (lamb) as was the pork dish. All the desserts were excellent. We'll be sure to return to this gem on the south side of Calgary.

   We had an amazing experience. This was a 10/10 dinner, the staff were lovely, we were celebrating the engagement of friends and the team there made it extra special. Would absolutely go back.

   We dined with friends on a recent Friday night. The restaurant was busy, but not overly loud. Our waiter, Gabriel, was terrific. Friendly, fun and knowledgeable. Allowed us as much time as we wanted between courses and never tried to rush us out when we lingered after our meal. Octopus was amazing…tender and grilled to perfection. Steaks were delicious, surf and turf was also terrific.

   Overall it was a nice supper but for the price point the food portions seem smaller than in the past. And the food quality was good, just not great. Service was fantastic and made it worthwhile for sure.

    We went for my husbands birthday. Good was delicious. Service was excellent. We really enjoyed the variety of tea they had. I had the 3 course luncheon and the trout. It was delicious. We will cone again for a special occasion.
