   Coming here for 16 years as Bouchards and now a few years as Chanterelle and the restaurant remains our favorite in Newport. Nothing even comes close. Service, food, drinks, ambiance, all exceptional. To Dan and all of the folks who continue to make us feel as if we are the most important guests in the room….. BRAVO. A few must haves if you choose to dine here, the Caesar salad, beef tenderloin, the dessert soufflé, and Dan’s Espresso Martini. Perfection

   Excellent food and service, as usual. We always choose this restaurant for special occasions because we are never disappointed. Our waiter, Dan, is always friendly and professional…and makes great drinks.

   The food is phenomenal and the staff is professional and friendly. Highly recommend! In my opinion the best food in Rhode Island.

   Absolutely everything at Chanterelle was exceptional! The food, the service, the dessert and drinks were all amazing. Would highly recommend if you want a fine dining experience.

   Another truly wonderful evening at Chanterelle! As always Carmen, Dan and Ben were the perfect hosts seamlessly blending warm hospitality and exceptional service. Emblematic of the evening were how graciously my wife's request for an entree portion of the steak tartare was accommodated - with a beautiful presentation (see picture) - and Dan's selection of a delicious - and very approachably priced - 2015 Margaux to accompany the entrees. Each of these elements made the evening even more special. I would be remiss if I did not mention Dan's espresso martini - it is the standard by which I measure espresso martinis at other establishments...and all fall short of the bar. Needless to say we look forward to our next visit.

   My mom and I had a very good time at this restaurant. The ambience was very quiet, the food was great, as was the service. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Newport!

   Other than the noise it was fine. The not advised price of $72 for the caviar was a bit expensive.
