We had a wonderful time tonight and after our waiter (Connor) learned it was our anniversary he gave us a piece of cake on the house.
Back again to my favourite Brazilian Rodozio restaurant. I've been to all of them in Calgary and this place has got the best quality of meat. The cold and hot items on the buffet tables can use a little bit of sprucing up but the service has always been great.
It was another satisfying experience last night.
Can't wait for next time!
Personalised and attentive service.
Quick/good flow of service.
Wished a happy birthday by the team in an understated yet celebratory manner.
Really good evening.
Would go again!
The server we had for dinner was by far the best I have ever had there. When we were seated he took the time to go through the drinks and offered recommendations. We were never rushed and he was very social and had us laughing. All the staff with the skewers were fantastic as well. We left extremely full and commenting in our group how that was literally the best time we’ve ever had eating there.
Frequent customer, used to having such an amazing experience. This time however, was different. Service was amazing as per usual, but quality of food was lacking. Almost every cut of meat was overcooked, and tough. We enjoyed the fried cheese and the sausages – but the fresh cuts of meat were cooked to the point of almost well done. The salad bar lacked a variety of choices, and the items that they did have- where lackluster. As a frequent customer, we were very disappointed with this visit. Not sure we will be returning unfortunately.
Service was fantastic however the food came around seldom and when it did come by it was middle of the road. Not as good as I first had years prior and doesn’t stand up to other Brazilian steakhouses.
Great place great staff we will be back
Love this place! Took my boyfriend out for our anniversary and we absolutely loved it! Very nice people
Been several times and it is amazing every time. I always leave satisfied to the extreme
It was a first time for me and i loved the experience! The food was tasty and plentiful, the servers were very friendly and quick when they came around with the meats. A special thanks to Connor for taking really good care of us,making recommendations and making the birthday we were there celebrating feel extra special!
Such a nice night out. Great staff/service.
Perfect for picky eaters as so many choices. Nice sides but it really is all about the amazing meats on rotisserie. Pineapple breaks it up nicely between though.
Good place for celebrating, date night, or just great meal.
Only my 21 year old son (always has room for dessert) had dessert, but they looked incredible.
Only thing I’d suggest at all is having more wee-done meat available. Not everyone prefers rare or medium. Other than that it was perfect.
Food was great, service was very slow. We’ve visited this restaurant many times, first time the service has been below expectations.
Great experience. Definitely a place to go if you are hungry. Beautiful date night
Thank you for the great service. The tres des leche Is to die for
Our experience at Bolero was perfect. We celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary and could not be happier! It was my husbands first time there and my first time back in about 10 years. Everything was phenomenal! There service was spectacular and the food... oh my goodness the food! The hot and cold salad bars were full of choices but the skewered meat brought around to the tables was amazing. I do not eat steak or beef cuts but I did the night we ate here! It actually tasted great and was cooked so perfectly! Also the glazed pineapple was to die for! Just wish it would have come around more often. There wasn’t one thing we tried and did not like. We had the frozen blended mango drink with dinner and loved it. It was a nice compliment to the meal. Bolero even treated us to desert for our anniversary. This was one experience we won’t soon forget and the reason we will be back again.
Fantastic service, food and environment. We will be there again!
One of the best dining experiences I've ever had. The staff were always amazing and the food is just outstanding.
We really loved the food! However, I feel there should be a salad bar option or a cheaper option for children. My daughter (12) ate only from the salad bar as she isn't much of a meat eater. And I found it a little pricey for basically some veggies and rice for her!
I booked a table here for 12 people for my wife’s 40th birthday, and I must say, while the actual food was outstanding, everything else SUCKED.
The service was horrible (and only improved after one of our guests brought the issue up to the staff)
The spot they set us was horrible (a high traffic area right in front of the bar)
And the bill was astronomical, not to mention the MANDATORY 18% TIP added to EACH BILL because our group was larger than 8 people... over $200 for my family of 5 (2 adults who had 2 beers and 3 kids under the age of 8).
Needless to say we won’t be returning.
Great food. Great service.
We love Bolero is our favourite restaurant, service is great and excellent food.
Love this place!!! Been going for 7 years and will always go back. Mark is such a great server and always treats us like family.
Always consistent amazing service and food. One of my favourite places to bring the family:)
The food and the service were amazing. We loved it. My 7 yr old thought it was amazing, and its his favourite restaurant now.
I love the way they bill for children, $1.75x their age. It is so much more fair than a flat rate charged at similar restaurants.
Go, go, go...but don’t eat a lot at the salad bar!
The service was Excellent. We enjoyed the food very much.
Excellent attention to services. Food was terrific!
As per our family tradition we go for Birthday's. It never disappoint ...
Great place, but you can't go often, very little changes ever happen, same meats almost everytime they may have switched one since last year when we went last. And to be honest for $200 for two ppl with a drink each with tip is a massive bill.
However the food is done fairly well, the service is great. Needs a facelift though so dark and dim.
Oh and get rid of those gluten free cheese buns can't believe they even serve these things lol. I think looking over at the rest of the table no one ate them.
Great service: accommodated an unexpected early shift in schedule, friendly servers. Excellent food both at the buffet & skewers that are brought to your table.
Well worth the price and will be certain to come again with friends!
The service was amazing! Our server was outstanding, he was very attentive and cheerful. An overall great experience <3
Excellent meal and service. The staff worked with me to make sure I knew which foods I could eat due to allergies.
Food was astounding downside is it took forever to get any. Even the lady who served us kept apologizing as there was new servers on. Was really disappointed as I was recommended here by so many people. I’d give it another try but I don’t want to sit at the back again it’s like your forgotten about.
Excellent food and great service
Food was overcooked, and the food came out extremely slow. Very little choice to have anything cooked less that medium well. All the choices I was excited for never came out as the same 6 skewers rotated.
The meal was wonderful, service was 5 star and the staff was very accommodating for our anniversary
We love Bolero! The food is always delicious! And as a bonus they gave us a piece of cake to take home because it was our anniversary!! We will be back!
Always a special occasion to come here. Fresh and tasty
Birthday , free desert was a great touch
We love coming to Bolero but this time was less
The service was terrific, the ambience was good with a quiet booth in the corner, but the food was just OK.
We'd been to Bolero several times before and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. On this recent experience, however, they appeared to be cost cutting on many of the menu selections.
Whereas they used to have more premium meat cuts available in the rodizio, they are now offering things like garlic bread and butter chicken off the skewer. I suppose these selections may have limited fans out there but I don't think that's what most people go to a Brazilian steak house in search of.
In the salad bar selection, they used to offer many more seafood choices such as shrimp, smoked salmon etc. All they had this time around were mussels which were a bit on the dry side and quite small. Some of the premium salads, such as the hearts of palm, were also nowhere to be found, replaced by much plainer fare like beet salad. They now also have a bread salad. Seriously . . . Bread salad. Think about that when you're going to pay $45 per person for rodizio.
For bread (salad) and garlic bread, and all you can eat bread, save your money and go to Olive Garden. Overall, quite disappointing. I find Minhas, Pampa, and Gaucho all offer a much better bang for buck.
