Worst date night dinner ever
This was the first time we had visited a Black Angus in over 15 years. While the atmosphere looked the same, the quality of the food has gone downhill. I had a 12 oz. ribeye steak and it was loaded with grizzle. It looked like something you would get at Denny's for about half the cost. My wife had a steak salad and the steak was overcooked and the bacon was undercooked. Not a memorable experience and we won't be going back.
This was the second time we have eaten at the Black Angus Buena Park. Both times the service was less then what we receive at other locations. We were seated within 15 minutes of our reservation which was great. Once seated our drink orders were taken quickly, but took a long time to be served the drinks. Also a long wait till our food order was taken, longer till food served. Do to the slow service we asked for the check and the desert to be packed to go./ Have eaten numerous times at the Lakewood Black Angus with great service every time.
Over good prime rib was ok, baked potatoe good, green beans ok a little hard to cut but had good flavor. My husbands ribeye wasn’t as flavorful as expected and a little rarer then medium.not a lot of marveling but a lot of fat on outside. But overall enjoyed. Service was very good
I wouldn't recommend this place, at least not on a Monday evening! I have been at this location before and was never as disappointing as this visit. SLOW, SLOW, SLOW service. It took forever to get our food and when a long time has already passed, someone from the kitchen came out to tell us that they didn't have rice, not even our waiter herself. We spent almost $200 for a party of 5 on a lame dinner. So disappointing!
Reservations were at 7:15, which we were seated in time. However, service was slow in terms of getting drinks and food. Food took 1 hour and steaks were overcooked. The server was quick. 15 minutes after we got our food, we were offered boxes and the check.
We were seated within just minutes of getting there. We made our order but we sat for over 50 minutes waiting for our food to get cooked. When we did receive our food it was Luke warm not hot. The food was good however , the wait was way too long. I realized it was Valentine’s Day but 50 minutes is too long. Otherwise the waiter was excellent.
The drinks and meats were amazing, flavored butters too. The sides were ok. The salad was good.
Our waitress was outstanding she gave us a lot af attention. The only problem we had was the margarita was not good at all.
We received great service and food. We didn't have to wait long due to making reservations, which was great. Food was served hot, fast and to our liking.
Valentines meal with friends and family. Always pleasurable service quality and freshness are always exceptional.
We went to Black Angus for Valentine's Day and we really enjoyed our dining experience. The service was great, the food was excellent, and our overall experience was excellent. We will definately be back.
Great food menu especially the steaks. The wagon wheel appetizers are good to start the dinner with or order it as your meal.
The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly, our waiter was great, very inviting and friendly he didn’t miss a beat when something was needed.
My girlfriends food was good but mine was just average, I ordered the ribeye and it was full of fat and gristle. In addition, the broccoli was cold and under cooked but the baked potato was perfect.
We have eaten at this location many times and normally the food is quite good, maybe the lack of quality was due to the crowd but for the cost I expected more.

Birthday dinner was very special with a birthday cookie
It was good. Had to wait about 10 minutes even with reservation. Had to send check back they forgot to include the desert in the Campfire coupon. Rib eye was Very Good!
Most important to us was the steak, would it be tender, flavorful and cooked correctly? Yes to all 3, and the sides (baked potato and salad for me, potatoes augratin and salad for the wife were all solid. We weren't sure about our waitress at first only because she seemed frazzled like she had something happen, she still gave great service. All in all we got exactly what we wanted !
Fabulous we love black angus
Overall great experience food was properly served in every way service was polite and good, as somebody that remodels restaurants for a living the ambience needs to be updated to serve With more modern times and the architecture of the day more TVs better lighting possibly even charging ports other than that including the price was well acceptable
Black Angus campfire feast selection is a great value. The portion size was more than enough for two people. Best to make a reservation for dinner time.
Great restaurant. Service is fantastic. I always feel like the vegetable sides are too skimpy, especially with green beans, broccolini, etc. Sometimes it looks like a garnish. Otherwise the sides are good portions.
Our server was excellent. After reading reviews, we expected poor service but were willing to give it a try. On first impression, we were cautious since there were three employees chatting away about their weekends around the hostess stand. Ugh - their conversation was clearly more important than greeting guests since we had to stand there for a minute waiting to be acknowledged. Other than this mishap, the rest of our visit was unexpectedly phenomenal. The wait was short, table service was amazing with multiple staff coming by to check on bread and water levels, food was delicious and tasty. We will return and tell others too!! Only other complaint would be some of the other guests need to keep their voices down.
The was good
When I made the reservations I told them it was our anniversary. Nothing was said. Service seemed to be slow. Couldn’t figure out if the waiter was slow or the kitchen
Our server was wonderful. The drinks were a bit weak, but tasty. Took a bit long to be seated, even though we had a reservation.
Restaurant was dirty food lukewarm and family with small child running up and down
Great service and good food at an excellent price.
Great food, great service
New Years Eve
Never felt more uncomfortable ordering food . They rush you and forget about you .
We were right outside the kitchen, it was pretty loud on top of the regular crowd noise.
It's an ok steak house.
The waitress could not keep track of our order. For instance, we received our entrees before the appetizer and our side cup of soup never showed up.
WAGON WHEEL SAMPLER PLATTER: CHICKEN TENDERS AND ZUCCHINI WERE COLD, POTATO SKINS WERE COLD AND STALE...I ORDERED MY STEAK MEDIUM WELL, IT ARRIVED MEDIUM RARE
Our meals were good, except for the size of the microscopic lobster tails. The service was sloppy-meal was delivered too soon after the salad and the handle of my salad fork was covered with dressing. Our server frequently passed by, but never looked at us even once or checked whether we needed anything. The wait for him to pick up our check from the table for payment was unacceptably long. Additionally, he forgot to credit our coupon and we had difficulty locating him to make this correction.
I have been here on several occasions, and it's always a treat. Israel the manager, and his staff are always super friendly. Service, food, and great drinks!
Amazing service and food. Attention to detail is impeccable
Excellent service provided by ALL employees, Thank you
I made reservations at the Buena Park location for Thanksgiving dinner. The restaurant was quite noisy with clanging dishes. It had been raining, and when seated, the roof was leaking in several spots and dripping water in the booths. Dark stains were apparent where the ceiling has been water damaged previously. Not the nicest ambiance for Thanksgiving. The service was just so so. Our server forgot to bring things, which resulted in our daughter getting her soup after her meal had arrived. Drink refills were not given without being requested. The starter molasses bread was so dry that it could hardly be eaten. The overall Turkey dinner was not anything special. The broccoli was raw, and the stuffing was soggy. I probably could have got the same or better meal at Denny' s for half the price. I won' t be recommending this Black Angus location to anyone, and we definately won't be going back. The interior is looking a little rundown, and needs some deperate repairs. Not the Thanksgiving I had in mind for myself and family.
Thanksgiving family dinner. Food was delicious and the service by Gaby S. Was excellent!! We all had a wonderful time!
