   Hard to navigate expensive wine list which is largely very expensive. Service was erratic and very slow after we rejected the first wine we were given to taste. Finally got winelist back but took quite awhile to be able to order. Food when it came was terrific. Amazing burgers and really good chips. Had to wait a little for the mayo which was offered. Not too noisy and very comfortable so I'd go back - I am not someone who normally orders burgers but really amazing.

   It was simply perfect! I used to love Bar Boulud at Mandarin Oriental before the fire in the hotel, especially for Sunday brunches. Was a bit nervous whether this would be as good as then after renovation . And the experience was fantastic! Perfect oysters, delicious fois gra and very nice main courses: confit dick leg and still one of the best if not the best burger in the city! Favourite White Cosmo also remains unbeatable both in terms of taste and look!

   Have been dining at Bar Boulud for many years. Terrible service this visit. After ordering, took over 1 hour between the start and the mains. A dish we have been ordering for years, was now served on the bone instead of filet, without warning. One of our party is gluten intolerant. In the past, they have alway brought her gluten free bread. This visit there was none. Desserts did not arrive at the same time, one arrived significantly later than the rest of the party. All made for a very long and tedious experience.

   We enjoyed a dinner, although very close to the kitchen The food was very good. The staff were very pleasant. I would like to sit in the front room if I returned for another meal. We also loved the great Wine menu.

   We were early for our reservation. We had an additional person than what I reserved. The entire restaurant was empty. The staff should never say, We’ll see if we can fit you in. What? You don’t want another customer eating lunch on Sunday? The staff should never say, You can only sit at the bar Even though the entire restaurant was empty Even though we stated we would not order anything Even though our bill came to £255 for lunch for 5 people on Sunday lunch. Rules are there to be organised but not to handcuff. Staff who couldn’t get their head around the fact that we’re early We know we cannot order food We just want to sit down at a table in a completely empty restaurant on a Sunday. No! No! No! How you reply to a request is more important than the actual answer! How you phrase a reply should be memorised if you don’t know how to reply in a manner that the customer could feel special. Like, We don’t normally do this but just for you, We’ll seat you early. Instead of seating us 5 Chinese adults before noon, The staff went ahead and seated a Caucasian couple who arrived before noon too. They didn’t have to sit at the bar first! After seating that couple, Then the staff came to seat us. If nothing else, Once seating at the table was permitted, We, who arrived first, Should have been seated first! But NO!

   Food was great but we were asked twice about food allergy - my husband has a severe allergy to nuts - and the first meal was brought with pistachios... a bit disappointing

   We came on a Saturday evening and had the pre-theatre menu. Three courses and a coffee for £24. The most fantastic wine list ever but they were not able to serve the wine chilled. The service was very slow. I had Salade de Chevre Chaud with Goats cheese, Trout, Chocolat-chocolat tart and raspberry sorbet. Delicious food and they serve you plenty of bread. You will not be hungry after eating here! Nice ambience.

    A very pleasant lunch experience in all respects. The only reason I do not award you full marks throughout is that I do not want you to become too complacent!
