Despite the name, Angel Curry Centre in London’s Islington in Chapel Market is actually a small and perfectly-formed modern Indian restaurant. Short on neither competition nor regulars, the Angel Curry Centre’s great success is based on excellent, well-presented food at very attractive prices. All your favourites are here on the menu like chicken tikka masala and chicken dupiaza. Side and vegetarian dishes easily match the high standard of the meat dishes. And here’s another pocket-friendly aspect of Angel Curry Centre restaurant: YOU ARE YOU WELCOME TO BRING YOUR OWN ALCOHOLIC DRINKS AND THERE IS NO CORKAGE CHARGED. Angel Curry Centre, Islington Great food - some of the tastiest indian food I've had - great prices and charming service. A place that makes you want to go back, recommend to others and generally support. And hurrah for the BYO policy!

We loved this little Indian restaurant! The food was great - we had the special £9.95 menu which offered a large variety of starters and curries. Everything we tried was delicious. Well worth the visit. The only negative aspect is that the seating is rather cramped. We visited on a quiet night so it wasn't too bad but I'd hate to be there if it was busier.

Angel Curry Centre (Islington) The service wasn't great and when we said we were on the toptable deal we were told our portions would be smaller! we ordered from the a la carte (we were hungry) and the food was great! not expensive and with the addition of BYO I would definitely recommend it.

The 5 courses for £10 offer is excellent value - only real disappointment foodwise were the onion bhajis which were a bit flat/flavourless, but everything else you could easily pay double for elsewhere. Went on a Sunday night so was reasonably quiet - hence the slightly lower score for ambience...although clearly the other people liked their food very much - one couple were effusive in their praise!

A friend and I went to the Angel Curry Centre for dinner before heading into Camden. Great food and a good atmosphere, really good value plus savings from the 'bring your own alcohol' policy that they operate added up to a really good evening. I'd go again.

Angel Curry Centre, Islington Absolutely brilliant restaurant with great food. Despite us being a football team of 14 people, we were served very well and with good humour, no orders were wrong (as I've experienced in the past) and the food came out very promptly and was delicious. In fact, the food was so good it converted one of our group from disliking curries into a curry lover. Highly recommended...

Food was great - service good - very good value. Went with a mate - only downside was that his main only had about 3 bits of chicken in it but overall plenty to eat and BYO is fab. We were able to sit for at least an hour after the meal finishing a rather large carry out!!

Angel Curry Centre, Islington: Had a great time here, food was gorgeous, very fragrant and well seasoned with good quality meat, and the service was exceptional. We went mid-week, which may have had something to do with it, but the atmosphere was lacking - we had a great time as a large group but I wouldn't recommend it for smaller parties if you're looking for a fun or lively atmosphere. Also bear in mind that they don't serve alcohol so you need to take your own (no corkage fee).
