AgriVino Ratings and Reviews
Every time we have been here we bring friends or family and Dario and Sheena have never disappointed any of us. This has become our absolute favorite place to dine. Authentic Old Word Italian Cuisine and a service experience you will never forget. AMAZING!!!
Absolutely incredible meal! Dario was an amazing chef and entertainer, and Patricia the wine representative was very informative and lovely. I have a gluten allergy, and Dario's substitutions made my date jealous of my meal! We felt very special. Highly recommend this dinner to anyone who loves great food and wine. Honestly, you can not find anywhere that's quite as good as this! We drank incredible Brunello di Montalcino wines, and had a five course meal - for $85. You won't find that anywhere else. Wine alone would have cost $45, easy. Truly a wonderful dining experience and we will do it again when back in Dundee.
Dario and Sheena, husband and wife, provide a fun filled, authentic Italian dinner. Dario is northern Italian, and his recipes all stem from his grandmother's cooking. Courses and wines are always paired, except Sundays when it is pizza and gnocchi day. Food is great, location is goofy, dinner is always entertaining. One of our local favorites.
Amazing authentic Italian food made with lots of passion. Great attention was given to the food and guests! The family style 5 course meal with wine pairing was the perfect amount of food. The owners are extremely friendly and clearly shows they love what they do. A hidden gem and worth the drive.
My wife and I had Sunday lunch here. The hospitality extended by the proprietors, Dario Pisoni and his wife Sheena was wonderful. The authentic Italian feel with amazing food and a great selection of wines was fantastic. Looking forward to many, many more wonderful experiences at Agrivino.
Authentic Italian dishes served with matching wines. We attended a family-style seated five-course dinner, from soup to dessert. I was concerned because of my gluten intolerance, but our host and chef went out of his way to accommodate my dietary restrictions which I had advised him of when we made the reservations through Open Table. In addition to delicious food, we learned a good deal about the cuisine of the Piedmont region of Northern Italy. Altogether a wonderful evening. The price, though not cheap, is actually a bargain for the quality of food and wine.
Went for Thanksgiving and a birthday. Food - exceptional Italian cuisine. Service - superb; Chef comes to table for every (5) course and explains how it was created, cooked and why he selected the wine pairing to go with it. Location - difficult to find when driving at night and without GPS; plan route ahead of leaving home
what a special place. It is a dining event where everyone is served a prix fixe menu at the same time. The food was excellent - the best authentic Italian food I've ever had; gourmet and very elegantly presented. Every course was paired with a different Italian wine accompanied by an explanation of why that wine paired well with that particular course. I would not hesitate to go back!
Terrific food by energetic owner/chef, served by wife and sometimes daughter. Chef comes out and explains each prix fix course and wine pairing, the region, preparation, and why the wine pairs well with the course. Exquisite food and entertaining owner/chef.
Booked a lunch reservation, not knowing what to expect, just that I had read a couple of good reviews. Agrivino was amazing. So authentic! The meat charcuterie was out of this world. Te proscuitto, pancetta, and salami were sliced paper-thin, and tasted oh so good. Our pastas were super fresh.
A bit out of the way, and hard to find, but TOTALLY worth it!
Dinner was amazing! Excellent food and perfectly paired each of the five courses with wine. The owner/chef explains the preparation of the food, the region in Italy from which it comes, where the wine comes from and why he chose that wine to go with that course. It was a fabulous evening! Highly recommend!
We are so glad we stumbled onto this place in September with friends. We were just back with four other friends last weekend and it just doesn't disappoint. It is fun, informative and the food and wine are exquisite. It is also an excellent value. $85 per person for five hand made gourmet courses and five glasses of perfectly paired wine is something you can't get anywhere else in this area. Dario is a showman in the kitchen and in the dining room. He explains the origin of the dishes from Italy, how the food is prepared from scratch, why he chooses each wine for each plate and hugs everyone as they leave at the end of the evening. It is a bit of a drive just for dinner, but worth it. A better plan is to head out to wine country earlier in the day and do some tasting before finishing your day with a fine and fun dinner at Agrivino. Either way, you will be glad went.
An absolutely must stop if you are in the wine country. Lunch is fantastic and the evening wine dinners are a ton of fun. No one can entertain like Dario and his wine and food descriptions make you feel like you are in Italy. Also don’t miss pizza and gnocchi Sunday. Five of each to choose from and the food is as authentic as you will find. Be sure and make a reservation as walk in space is becoming very hard to get.
We had an amazing first two courses. The wine pairing was great. The last courses plus dessert were not our favorite. Too heavy. The service was a bit abrupt and not relaxing . The chef, however, was delightful. I wanted to love dinner, but unfortunately it just rated 3 stars in the end.
We loved this experience. From the flavors of the food itself with the corresponding wine pairings, to the owners spending time with each table explaining the food and wine (where it is from, how it is made, the history behind the course) this was a great date-night experience. Worth the price for a special occasion or if you are just looking for something out of the ordinary for a night out.
