Can’t say enough good things about the venue, food and wine pairing with each delightful course. The chef and his wife are personally engaging which adds greatly to the experience.

After 50 trips to Italy, it is easy to become jaded with the "Italian experience" in the US. AgriVino was a huge exception. The owners Dario and Sheena have set the standard for fun, ambience, great food and wine pairing at least in our experience in the US. The location is out of the way but worth the trip. The price is reasonable for what you get and the whole experience is so entirely pleasant that our only regret was not being able to go back the next night. The food was great but what we especially appreciated was the time Dario took to explain the "why" of the wine pairings. Maybe 99% of the time, they go well together but "why" they go well together is interesting and he took the time to explain the balance of the food and the wine and how they work. It was memorable and great fun and great food. Dario is the usually engaging Italian host and as in all Italian families, Sheena is the one that runs the show out-front and behind the scenes. Cannot recommend it enough. Lots of fun.

wow. a friend told me I needed to check out agrivino, but after some hassles with open table and accessing it via googlemaps on my phone, I couldn't get a reservation (some sort of glitch), so I gave up for a while. I tried again later on the open table web site directly, and it finally all came together, and what a great dining experience...
Beautiful oregon wine country, but our night (and i assume all of them) are all about italy, and they just do an outstanding job. Our favorite types of places are the great portland restaurants, Can Font, Renata, Uredaneta, Fillmore, etc., and our group found the Agrivino dinner absolutely top notch. As you'll read, its the agriturismo type setup, with a setting thats nice but slightly rustic (its not an interior design masterpiece...), the people & service, food, wine, pairings, interaction with Dario, some good lightly themed italian culinary education, etc., all make for a great evening.
We'll be going back often.

We were looking for a fun place to take my parents for their anniversary and while searching online learned about AgriVino. It requires reservations, even for lunch and it was sooo worth it. The wine by glass list had multiple options at reasonable prices ($8-15 mostly). The lunch menu was great, including a couple small plates (salumi and cheese), about 4-5 different pastas (including a risotto), a couple salads with meat. The food was amazing --- housemade salumi, porchetta and coppa… The pasta was a reasonable serving you could finish and felt satisfied... The bread was made fresh in house... The gelato had 6-8 options and was creamy perfection (recommendation: have one person order strawberry and another lemon curd and share).

When it comes to great dining options in the Willamette Valley, the struggle is real. Finally, a place about which everyone has been telling us totally delivers...and then some! Pizza and Gnocchi Sundays? Yes, please! Wonderful family-owned and operated restaurant with visual appeal and true warmth. Amazing selection of Italian wines at moderate prices doesn't hurt, either. Go there!

Excellent meal and the owners are so nice and friendly. We had their pizza for the first time which was very good. Others in our party had their gnocchi which was delicious, but they would have enjoyed larger portions....or maybe they should recommend a side salad to go along with the meal as portions are smaller. Otherwise, overall fantastic!

This was truly awesome, the best Italian food I have had in the entire Portland metro. A five course with wine pairing feast all very well prepared and very authentic. Im from Europe and I can easily separate the pretended authentic from the real, this was as good as it gets. The service was superb and they managed to serve the 40 guests or so all at once for each of the five courses. We’ll be back several times a year.

This was the fifth time my wife and I have eaten here. Each time is as good or better than the previous. Husband and wife, Dario and Sheena, have made this the most authentic Italian meal with wine pairings you’ll have outside of Italy. Agrivino is a special place for special occasions! Dario’s creations in the kitchen are derived from his grandmother’s kitchen with his love of food layered on top. He has an incredible palate which he uses in pairing his food to wine. His wife Sheena runs the excellent serving staff who are friendly, professional, run like a well oiled machine. I’m so happy for them. They have taken a concept, in a remote location and perfected it, and with not much more than word of mouth, are now filing the House nightly. Can’t wait to go back again!

Dario and Sheena do such an amazing job here. Very personable and provide great service. The food is absolutely amazing. We went there on Sunday for lunch and it was Gnocchi and Pizza day. We both had gnocchi and it was outstanding. Would definitely recommend. Tons of great Italian wines to chose from as well.

We have eaten here five or six times - always of Friday or Saturday where he has a 6 course dinner. Had some really great dinners. The Sunday - salad, gnocchi, and pizza night was not as good. Pizza crusts were terrible. Probably frozen. Gnocchi and salad were better, but not great. Spend the extra money and go on a Friday or Saturday.

Don't want to over-hype it but it's better than "Best of Portland". Fabulous food, wine, and service. Excellent value. Kind of hope it stays a local secret but I wish them great success so I'd enthusiastically recommend the place to anyone. Had the Saturday 5-course with wine pairings and I am ruined for other Italian restaurants now. If you can afford to treat yourself to a $90+ meal, you will not regret spending the money here.

It was like taking a trip to Italy. The theme of the evening was Sicilian. Every Saturday evening the meal takes you to a region of Italy for a traditional family style meal in the region.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, they have a single seating, that lasts about 3 hours. The meal is five courses with a wine pairing included. This is for adults ONLY! For each course, the servers bring the wine for that course followed soon after by the food. Everyone is served at the same time. The chef appears and provides a full description of the course, how it was prepared, and how the wine complements the course.

It was worth the 45 minute drive, and the $90 per person price. It was truly one of the best meals of my life.
