Dining here is always special for me
I chose this restaurant because I wanted to try some Artisanal cocktails. This restaurant was advertised as having unique cocktails and of course sushi. When I asked the waitress if she could switch the vodka to tequila in one of the drinks which could have been easily done, she said that the mix was already made and could not be changed. That was very disappointing because I don’t know why the vodka would have been premixed in the cocktail but she repeated it when I questioned it. The portions of the sushi were bigger than what you would get at another sushi restaurant but I think they were a bit on the expensive side.
We have early reservations for 3-4 day ahead of time and we walk in and there are plenty of table available. They place us by the door and we ask for another table. They state all the table are taken. It does eventually fill up. So we have dinner with people hovering over us as they wait for table.
The sushi does not appear fresh. It is dry and the maguro is pale and not deep red.
Maybe regulars get good seats. We will not find out.
Always great Service and food. Always nice when the owner comes over to our table to say hello and ensure we are happy
Every time we dine at 5 Fusion it exceeds our expectations. They always have some incredible seasonal specials and it's so much fun to bring friends along to see what they're going to come up with next. The service is perfect, the food and presentation are impeccable.
It was a great place for a group of 4 or a date. I don’t think it was a large enough venue for a party over 8. The food was amazing, great drinks and decent price. Appetizers are awesome! The lollipops were our favorite of the apps. Fried Avocado, edamame, and Korean BBQ short ribs. The rolls were very good. Trust the waiter they have great recommendations.
Food is reasonably good, atmosphere is rather cheap for these prices, but the service absolutely stinks. We had a table full of appetizers when the waitstaff brings out our entrees and says "uhh, where do you want us to put them?" They have ZERO ideas at this restaurant how to present a meal in stages, and don't care. They wanted to either remove the appetizers we were still eating or put our entrees under a heat lamp. This was the second time this has happened to us here. I absolutely hate this place and will not return. Wayyyyy to expensive for this bad service.
Dependably good quality and excellent service from the staff.
Food and drinks are always outstanding. Unique flavors and beautiful presentation. Service is excellent. You can't miss at 5 Fusion and Sushi Bar!
We were late to our reservation but we called and they accommodated us anyway as soon as we arrived. The place was packed. Service was gracious and hospitable. The food was delicious and well presented. We will return again.
Waiter seemed a little off, but food was excellent.
Outstanding sushi as usually however even better than usual this time. We usually have top notch service as well but the waiter wasn’t very attentive, we haven’t seen him before so maybe he’s newer and was overwhelmed.
Beautiful place, delicious food, great service!
Excellent and imaginative food. Great variations on sushi, great service, and a nice flight of unfiltered saki! A real pleasure!
Birthday party. Great experience and wonderful sushi.
Nice way to celebrate a Birthday!!
One of the two or three great places to eat in Central Oregon, and by far the most diverse menu.
Service was great, food was mediocre. Value for the money was sub par. Might go back and try it again but most likely not any time soon.
Outstanding and amazing as usual. The wait staff is friendly and helpful and the food, desserts and drinks are amazing. I recommend a reservation as this place has long waits for a reason. We will be back soon.
Sitting anywhere near the doorway, even 3 tables away, means a freezing night in the winter. They only have a curtain as 2nd barrier and it is way to narrow to provide adequate entryway closure. The Korean short ribs were maybe 35% fat - disappointing. Both soups were good as were scallop entree. Steak was fair, no better than that. I don't give many poor reviews, this one was unquestionably deserved.
The menu was interesting. The servicer appeared bored and inattentive. It was difficult to get our waters refilled or appetizer plates removed from the table. With so many options, I’d skip this one.
Had a real nice dinner, food was great. Only grip was is was kind of cold in the restaurant
Always great. Our favorite restaurant in Bend
Excellent restaurant. Recommend reserving a table well away from doors and windows - it was super cold there.
We were there for Christmas Eve. As it was one of the only places open. It was amazingly perfect. The food was a pleasant balance of the familiar and the exotic. Although the black manhattan cocktail was a wee bit sweet, the old fashioned, while not advertised, was the best in town. Korean fried chicken is a must, the spiced edamame was a huge portion of goodness, and all the sushi rolls were superb. No complaints anywhere at all.
A Culinary Delight - Delicious Sushi - Creative Entrees - Kind & Courteous Staff -
Best meal we have ver had in our lives, and we are foodies and world travelers. There is nothing more to say about it, it was pure magic.
We ordered just appetizers, so can’t review the sushi. All of the food was good, but $14 for 2 scallops?! We couldn’t believe it. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive and we felt slightly ignored. Would have ordered a sushi roll had she returned to our table after I asked for a menu. Won’t be going back.
Our sushi was mushy and bland. We were really disappointed and doubt that we will ever go back, too many good restaurants to choose from.
The only reason we go to five fusion is for the food. It is truly the best sushi in band. The prices are decent, but the service is what really fails. Overall friendliness from being greeted at the door to the waitresses and help is very lacking and has been each and every time we have went there.
We made reservations, and were greeted and seated right away by a friendly hostess. Our server came by to get our drink order, wine and a cocktail. She was very sweet and service was great. We tried the pink sushi roll special to support breast cancer, tasty and a great cause. Our edamame was hot, rainbow roll delicious; the shitake roll was an interesting combo of flavors, wouldn't order that again. The only disappointment was the wine pours were small, smaller than we've ever had here, or around town. For the cost of the wine we ordered that wasn't a good reflection on the restaurant.
A bit overpriced, but overall good sushi. The restaurant was a little loud as we sat upstairs and all of the lower level noise echoed.
Mostly great food. The Korean Fried Chicken was slightly below average. With KFC so popular around the country, it's easy to find great versions - this tasted like upscale chicken Mcnuggets. Everything else we ordered was great.
Lovely people, servers, owners and atmosphere.
Five Fusion has a open light Modern ambiance. Yeah I'm sure is casual lending itself to comfortable business casual dress. Our server was knowledgeable attentive and helpful. All of the sushi was very fresh. The nigiri Sushi pieces themselves were moderate sized not small but not overly generous either. The prices are somewhat High but that is what one has come to expect in downtown Bend as the demand continuous Drive pricing up. In summation I would highly recommend 5 Fusion for anyone that is looking for good sushi and a nice Asian fusion atmosphere
Great food! Excellent service!
We head to Five Fusion for a special experience- well crafted cocktails, friendly experienced service and the award winning meals. The food didn’t disappoint- exquisite flavors and beautiful presentation. Service was lackluster, waited quite awhile for a server to greet us. Waited for our drinks to be served- and one of them was incorrect. Just not on their game. We’ll return, hoping the service has shifted back to our previous experiences.
Innovative menu with plenty of variety. Rolls were great but so were the small plates. Good wine menu.
