We had a great experience dining at Zengo - ordered lots of small plates and shared. The sushi was nothing spectacular but the ceviche was remarkable as were the other dishes and the deserts. Our waiter was very helpful, and we found the ambiance pleasant and the noise level comfortable. We would dine there again.

The brunch here was quite good, with unique dishes like chorizo pork buns, bacon fried rice, and various sushi rolls. However, each dish only comes with a couple of servings or so, so it can be a bit of pain to have to constantly reorder dishes so that there is enough for everyone. I recommend when you sit down, put in an order for several of each dish that you want, that way you don't have to chase down the waiter every time.

Zengo has been one of my favorite places in Denver for a few years now. We have a few favorites on the menu, and they always have rotating "test kitchen" items that you can try as well. We usually just do about 4 small plates for my wife and I. And my wife loves the mojitos here. They also have a good happy hour menu for drinks and food.

We can't get enough of Zengo. The food is so unique and has the most creative combinations of flavors and ingredients. It's an Asian/Latin fusion, but there's so much more than that on the menu. The XO Edamame and Miso soup (forget what you think miso soup should be) are still our favorites. We love skipping the entrees and ordering lots of "appetizers" so we can try a little of everything. Greg is easily the best waiter in Denver. Great attitude and fun sense of humor, plus a perfect track record of recommendations. The rest of the staff are also top notch.

We brought another couple along who were thoroughly impressed with their food and dining experience. The black cod is always my favorite so it didn't disappoint. Our friend has food allergies so they brought her a different menu and asked the chef to help us with any dish she ordered that might be a problem. I thought that was a great touch!

Alyssa, the bartender, not only is efficient, personable, and makes a good drink, she remembered us, what we ordered during our last visit to Zengo and what we liked. In fact, she had a better recall than we did, which was rather embarassing. Even if the food wasn't as great as it is, I would return to this restaurant because of her and the service she provided.

This was our second time dining at Zengo while we've been in Denver. Reservations were easily attainable through Open Table website. Our server was friendly & attentive. Drinks were plentiful & food was delicious. We enjoyed the Ceviche duo appetizer. Was fun trying 2 different kinds. The only negative was that we felt the tables were too close together.

Enjoyed our meal. Shared plates of empanadas, potstickers (not my favorite but my date liked them), zengo fried rice and the brussel sprouts! Unfortunately, we waited much too long for our dessert (the cheesecake), which was supposed to have star anise ice cream on the top but instead it was vanilla bean (confirmed "somewhat" by our server). It obviously sat in the window too long because the plate was a soupy mess of half-melted ice cream. The restaurant DESPERATELY needs to invest in some more spoons. Our server brought us forks and admitted to not finding spoons. Didn't bother ever to find any and bring to us.

Zengo isn't the hotspot it used t be, but the food was still good and our server was great. The price adds up quickly when ordering multiple small bites. The sushi rolls were very good. We had the Angry Zengo and Volcano rolls. Great spicy edamame, but the wonton tacos were disappointing. The black cod was very good, but unfortunately not that hot when we received it. We sat by the window which was nice as it overlooked the park entrance. Overall good experience.

We eat out a lot like New Yorkers, so here's out take. It's a chain but we keep coming back. Food - interesting, unique, one of those places you go here to try new cultural idea dishes in unusual ways. best is salmon and XO edamame. They recently changed part of the menu and new steak menu item is much better than the old hanger steak option. TK test kitchen options always fun to try. Can get lots of small things rather than entrees as an option. Service - CJ was best staff service we've had. Very attentive and seemed passionate about work there. Definite change from the less than passionate wait staff in the past. Atmosphere - lively, energetic, good for groups or just dates which is why we go. Overall - would go again for sure

The range of small sharing dishes are varied, all tasty and keep coming with a pace the belies the popularity of their brunch special. You can happily munch, chat and drink and a couple of hours have past and all for $25 a head or $35 with unlimited cocktails. The fun experience starts with the enthusiastic greeters, and continues with the skilful waiting staff. Highly recommended if you want a couple of hours quality time with your older children so that you can catch up on their news. This is such a great Downtown asset.

I went for bottomless brunch and was kind of disappointed. I got the passion fruit mimosa and there was barely any juice, it was mostly sparkling wine. Same goes for zengo mimosa. For food, my favorite brunch plates were the steamed buns and the fried tofu. Those were really good. I also tried the rolls, hash, waffles, ceviche, chilaquiles, and some others. They were okay, but not something I would order again.

This is easily our favorite restaurants in Denver. We had one bad experience many visits ago, and that waiter is no longer there. Everyone else here is very friendly and the service is outstanding. The food is THE BEST. Gotta get the XOXO Edamame and the Miso Soup every time. Love the tuna tacos, empanadas, and really everything else on the menu. We love to just order a lot of appetizers and a salad, or share an entree, and get to try a little of everything. We've had at least 6 different waiters serve us now there, which we still see every time, and they're all so great, with excellent suggestions of new things to try.

To start, the AC was out, which wasn't their fault, but the hostess should have said before seating us. The food, which was in their control, was not much better than the atmosphere. The ceviche had peanuts bigger than the scallops; a little unbalanced to say the least. They were 'out' of two dishes we wanted to order...only to see them being served a while later to other tables. Not impressed with this visit.

We have been to Zengo several times, and it does not disappoint! The short ribs are the go to dish, as well as the Angry Zengo Roll for an appetizer. The other apps/small plates and the signature drinks are great as well. The only issue this time was the fact that the short ribs were slightly overdone. However, the sauce and mashed potatoes made up for it this time. Our server, Greg, was hilarious and we had a great time with him.

Having just come back from Peru, we prefer the traditional ones, but always up for trying something new. Empanadas were great, as was the ahi salad. This was our third time at Zengo, and our experience was not as great as it has been before. After about 15 minutes our ceviche had still not been delivered. Our server apologized and the manager gave the ceviche to us on the house, it sounded like some sort of miscommunication in the kitchen (totally understandable - it happens). After that it went downhill. Our waters sat empty for 10-15 minutes at a time. Our server was no where to be found for long periods of time. The restaurant was not busy but we waited nearly 15 minutes to order dessert after receiving a menu. After that it took about 20 minutes to settle the bill. Overall, the food is great and I love the restaurant, but the service we received on this visit was not good.

It's been a while since we've eaten at Zengo, and the menu looks very different, somehow breathing new life into the term fusion. The arepas, empanas, and tiraditos were fantastic. On the patio, our server was less than engaged, and we had to rely on his colleagues to chase down basics like silverware and napkins, long after the food came. We asked our server to add pieces to the tiraditos (his idea) only to find out when they came that the additional pieces weren't added. The crowning mistake came when my spouse ordered a second shot of top-shelf tequila, only to have our server bring out something that was decidedly lower grade. Did someone think we wouldn't notice? It wasn't busy enough on the patio to account for the mistakes.

Even though Zengo is running at 10 plus years, it still rates as one of my favorite restaurants. The quality of food and service is always top notch and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. They change up an already first class menu enough to make it worth coming back to over and over again. For our latest visit, I tried the new Curry Pork Chops selection. It was absolutely the best pork chop dinner I have ever had at a restaurant. Simply unbelievable!
