Diner Reviews
  • "We had a very enjoyable evening. We liked our waiter, Mile. He was friendly and helpful. It was our daughter -in-law's birthday and I was hoping a small gesture would have been made in her behalf. We bought a tee shirt to remember the occasion. We live here all year round and will dine again. Linda Censits"

  • "Tulia did not disappoint! Once seated, we were served fresh bread and eggplant tapenade. I could have made dinner out of that! Our server, JC was fabulous. She knew the menu and was most helpful with descriptions and recommendations. Some "Unusual" appetizer choices. Be daring...try one. The homemade pasta is not to be missed. Loved the garden pizza. Wish I had room for dessert. We will go back....often!"

  • "Having done the "early dining" the week before, we went back to experience a regular dinner. Part of the reasoning was the list of wonderful sounding appetizers that were not choices with early dining. The grilled octopus was excellent, although I thought the octopus had a rather strange texture. Entrees of salmon and the garganelli with lamb sugo were outstanding, but the ricotta cheesecake (incredibly creamy) served with berries was truly remarkable. Our waiter was excellent although we really don't need the server to constantly TELL us how wonderful everything will be and how wonderful everything is. Shouldn't he be "asking" not "telling"?"

  • "We have been to Tulia's before, but this is the first time we were disappointed. We had the family style dinner and when the 3rd course arrived it was barely warm. This is a first for us. We would still recommend this restuarant to anyone who likes good Italian food."

  • "Our food was fabulous! An explosion in your mouth. Ready to go back tomorrow!"

  • "We keep going back and each visit is so awesome. This chef creates such interesting dishes that are such a rarity and treat in Naples. We have a lot of over priced lousy food here. Thank goodness tulia delivers on quality dishes and awesome service. You can't go wrong here!!"

  • "We were trapped several doors away in a downpour and host came for us with 2 umbrellas....How is that for great service? Our waiter was excellent as well. I loved the crispy sweetbreads, the fresh mista salad and light and fluffy taramisu. My friend thought the salmon cooked perfectly and delicious. We will definitely go back. A bit noisy, very casual, and a happening place."

  • "Very good food. Excellent recipes. Put together very well. Service was on top of things...a little too attentive until the entrees arrived. Then we were allowed to eat without every-five-second checkups. The early courses were also brought out one after the other, something I was about to comment on when we got a nice gap between apps and entrees. We were on our anniversary dinner, no need to rush us out! The wines were very good. All in all, nice experience."

  • "Food was good but small portions and overpriced. Service was slow."

  • "This was our first visit to Tulia. The server, Jacamo, was terrific. He really made our evening fun. The food was excellent and the ambience was very inviting for casual dining. All customers were happy and had returned many times. I would recommend Tulia to anyone."

  • "We have waited a while to visit Tulia, and we were not disappointed. To get a measure we ordered a variety of dishes. Each was superb. The pasta was excellent, al dente, correctly sauced and absolutely delicious We will certainly return"

  • "Menu a bit limited, almost too gourmet. Need to add some more traditional items."

  • "We just love this restaurant. The specials are always fantastic. The prices are reasonable and the wine list is great. We return every 2-3 weeks for dinner."

  • "We have a home in Naples, Fl. and whenever we're in town we make sure we stop here for dinner. They have the absolute best gnocchi ever. The tortelloni is also to die for. The portion sizes are perfect. The desserts are fabulous. The chef is incredible. Even the wait staff is great (my husband thinks the best he's ever encountered). I don't think it's possible to make a bad choice from the menu. Each and every time we've been there is has been outstanding. I hope this place never changes or get's too big to enjoy. When anyone is ever in Naples, I tell them thy MUST dine here at least once."

  • "Tulia is the only NY level excellent restaurant I have ever experienced in my many travels and restaurant adventures in Florida. I prefer local fresh seafood, farm to table produce, with inventive creative preparation low in added sugar, with gluten free options and excellently complex glasses of wine. Tulia was perfect and blew our mind. We sat at a sidewalk table in the warm air and the food was perfectly prepared. Strongly recommended!"

  • "Our meal and dining experience was wonderful. The pastas were homemade and delicious. The menu is limited but well rounded and original, not the usual boaring standard Italian fare. This was definitely one of if not the best restaurant we ate at during our two week stay in Naples."

  • "We invited another couple to join us for dinner on A Friday evening. We were immediately seated at a requested window table. The staff were very attentive and brought us wonderful crusty bread accompanied by a bowl of sautéed eggplant, a great combination. We looked at the menu and selected the grilled octopuses our appetizer, which was extremely tender. We selected specials of the evening, a braised short rib over Anson Mill's polenta and a vegetable medley of fresh corn off the cob, cubed beets, roasted baby carrots and fava beans. The other special selected was the salmon which I was told was great! The wait staff was very attentive and friendly and made our dinner perfect. It is our new found favorite!"

  • "We took our son & daughter-in-law for their first time. It was excellent as usual. From the caponata to the homemade ricotta and meatball appetizers to the wonderful pasta dishes- all unique and authentic. The diavolo cake was a perfect finish that we all shared. Full but happy!!"

  • "The calamari was fantastic. Would go back just for that. Dinner was good, just not out of this world. Service was spotty. Waiter did not come back and ask how things were once the food was served. When meal ended we were not asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. Bad."

  • "Finally got a chance to use a gift certificate, off season..tried during season, but was told there was a 6 week wait for dinner on a week end before 9PM! It was definitely worth the wait! Terrific ambiance...felt like we were dining in Tuscany. The salmon was outstanding. My fellow diners highly recommend the chicken and pork. The house red was great...not overly sophisticated, again like red table wine you might get in Florence. The wait staff was very attentive. We would definitely go back again."

  • "Being Italian and from the Philly area it has been hard finding a true Italian restaurant in SW Fl. Tulia is definitely a winner. Looking forward to returning to try other dishes."

  • "This is the most authentic Italian cuisine in SW Florida. The cocktails were original, generous & delicious. Every dish that we ordered was outstanding. Our only disappointment was the lack of a wild boar dish the day we were there. We wil be definitely be back for that and to enjoy the rest of the menu. The service was exemplary. "

  • "One of the best meals we have had! Beef short rib pasta was incredible as was the seafood pasta with squid ink. Service was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Decor is charming, the scene is vibrant and the outdoor seating is great for people watching. The complimentary bread was fresh baked, but the eggplant tappenade was addictive and delicious. We did not have dessert but they all looked amazing. We can't wait to return to Naples so we can return to Tulia."

  • "The caponata served as you sit down is exceptional a e testament to the Chef's origins. We the ordered squid and that was just OK. A little overdone and not much flavor. After that we went for two past dishes. the Garganelli were not bad. lacking sauce and not really al dente. The second dish, a black ink pasta was again OK. A bit messy with too many ingredients and again not al dente. We asked where the Chef owner was and were told he was not cooking at that time and was in the back office. Explains why the standards were not as high as they should be. Shame that the restaurant seems to be slipping a little. We went when it first opened and the food was exceptional, just like being in Italy. "
