We were treated so well! Then back up for dinner in the bittersweet chocolate painted dining room. Subtle service, fabulous food and wines to match each course. The food was very good, the service was excellent and the ambience was great. Great fun to start out in the wine cellar with fantastic starters. We brought our own wine and paid the $25.00 corkage and they were very helpful with decanting, serving and even bottling our leftovers back in the bottle and bagging it up! I would highly recommend. The price seemed very reasonable when you figure the two glasses of champagne that we had were part of the deal (we could have had more champagne if we had wanted it!). This lends itself to the feeling of being a dinner guest at an extraordinary occasion. You start the evening before service with cocktails from the bar upstairs. Service begins with champagne and hors d’oeuvres in the wine cellar while wine pairings are selected for the upcoming courses. Knowledgeable guests may pick their own, discuss with the sommeliers, or I went with the house recommendations which were spot on. Then it’s upstairs for the remainder of the service. There is an intermission to talk with other guests, smoke in the patio, or observe and talk with the chefs in the kitchen.
