We went for Denver Restaurant week with out of town guests. The plate presentation was beautiful but the food, just OK. The service was also just OK. The waiter we had seemed like he just wanted to get off his shift and go home. Rushed and non conversational.

Tag came highly recommended for its burgers. Went there for restaurant week. Big mistake. Very limited menu choices. Appetizer was okay. Fish was alittle dry but edible. Dessert was okay (smal tart with balsamic glacé). Tart crust was a little chewy and balsamic glacé was a weird addition. Overall I wouldn't go back during restaurant week. Maybe their regular menu is better.

TAG offered a great selection for Restaurant Week. Many restaurants only do 2 courses and give you a couple of options, but TAG had a unique menu with a choice for everyone's taste. Drinks are pricey, but the Amante Picante was one of the best specialty cocktails I've had! Not a good drink selection for the whiskey lover and I imagine that is because their menu seems mostly Asian fusion. Food was delicious, loved the berry tart and our waiter was very kind and patient.

Ate here for Restaurant Week, and it also happened to be our anniversary, which I noted on the Open Table reservation. I loved that they presented us with a "Happy Anniversary" card signed by all the staff, as well as complimentary champagne (two glasses, not a bottle!). The meal was fantastic - none of the "pale shadow of its usual food" issue when many great restaurants do Restaurant Week. Menu was limited, I think three choices each for appetizer, entree and desert, and the food was up to usual TAG standards and portion sizes. The waiter was great, and with our wine selection let us sample a wine we were considering but not sure about.

They called me at 11:30 AM the day of the reservation to tell me that I could cancel by noon without incurring $20/person fee. Of course I was at work and didn't get the message until later that afternoon. The decor was strange but did like the lighting fixtures. You have to take an elevator to go to the bathroom and buttons in elevator a bit confusing. The paint where I was sitting was scratched off. Most of the staff seemed very nice but server seemed a little stand-offish. Maybe he was not happy to be working during the fixed price dinner week because he knew his tips might not be that good. The real reason to go here is the food. It may be the only reason. Thank you chef for a great meal.

If you are looking for something different and willing to try new flavors, TAG is the place. They offer specialty cocktails you won't find at other restaurants like the Amante Picante & The Cumquat & Jalapeno Mojito. Who knew a jalapeño could make a drink so tasty. The entree's Were also amazing. We had the Steelhead Trout (crispy & moist) & the Short Ribs (tender & flavorful). The sides are paired perfectly With great flavor & sauces. The Peach Pie, Chocolate Flourless Cake & Seafood Potstickers were very yummy as well.

Their shtick is Continental Cuisine and they do not disappoint! Some friends and I went for Denver Restaurant Week and the menu included global options ranging from sushi , Korean BBQ, Kangaroo, Southern Cornbread and so much more but they find a way to make it all work. I've been to this restaurant on a regular night as well and its just as great. Sadly, this is more of a great food establishment with a not as great drink selection, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. The beer selection is meager along with the wine (but I only looked at glasses, they seemed to have more bottle options). The bar looks like its set up for specialty, artisan cocktails but there aren't too many options on the menu. All in all, go for the food!!

This has been our third visit to TAG, and each visit has been equally great and delightfully conducted. I highly recommend the Miso Black Cod. Easily, one of the best seafood dishes in all of Denver. Start off with the Amante Picante cocktail and then pair it right with the grilled romaine salad and seafood potstickers as appetizers.

We enjoyed a selection of hors d'oeuvres that were just amazing with unique and incredible flavors.Tag adds very subtle twists to traditional favorite as we ordered the Sushi Tacos, Ahi was lightly seared, Kobe Beef Sliders with killer Duck Fat Fries dusted with brown sugar and TAG's variation of "Pigs in a Blanket" which was a smoked Pork Belly wrapped in Phyllo style dough...delicious! We couldn't stop there as we added the Matador Roll which was prepared perfectly with the perfect amount of "heat" from the jalapeños and Dynamite Aioli.

My co-workers and I visited TAG to show appreciation to a business associate who happened to be a celiac. Not only did she enjoy her culinary experience but she compared the amuse bouche (what a delicious surprize), appetizers, meal, and dessert with her visit to Gordon Ramsey's restaurant in Ireland. The waitress was attentive, and the food came out quickly. The menu is unique and the drinks, even the virgin ones were phenomenal. I highly recommend this place. It's worth the prices.

I had a gift card and was excited to try something new, but TAG did not deliver. Perhaps the chefs are trying to create weird combinations as their 'thing' but it was not appetizing. I had the salmon in watermelon juice covered in 'pickled onion' (not sure what it was). On their own, these are great, together they were not. Staff were nice and attentive, which is expected for a $$$$ restaurant.

Each time we travel through Colorado, we always plan a stop at TAG for dinner. The sushi taco appetizer is not to be missed. The last time we were there I ordered the special -- a rib eye steak and was disappointed that it was cooked medium rather than medium rare. Other than that, it was a great meal. My husband's duck was very good. We will definitely be back.

We tried TAG for the first time before a concert at Pepsi Center, outstanding cocktails, especially a bourbon based Negroni that they barrel age themselves - unbelievably good. Great assortment of apps and entrees - everything we had was very good. The Taco Sushi was a fun, inventive dish, and the pork bell (Pig in Blanket) was life changing! Dinner was so good that we canceled reservations at Rioja down the street and came back the next night for dinner. We even tried some Gin and Absinthe from a distillery in Golden, Co. Try this place!

TAG is my husbands favorite restaurant in LODO so it was an easy choice for his birthday dinner. The service is always top notch with a wait staff that is knowledgeable and friendly. The menu is always interesting and the options are always a treat. TAG is masterful at putting foods together that really compliment each other. I had the pork roast and it was phenomenal. TAG never disappoints us with their food. It's solid. We love the hanger steak and the black cod. Duck fat fries are crispy and delicious (though can be a bit too sweet for me with the sugar added). However, I have to say that the "specialty" cocktails are almost always a miss. They sound good on paper, and they are inventive. But the flavor combinations just seem to miss the mark every time (for us). I'll stick to wine; they have a nice list. And the standard cocktails are great (just skip the house tonic - it's too odd flavored for a traditionalist).

food - good, left feeling more full than I would think given what I ate. Very rich flavors. Oddly my wife had the cod and felt ill after dinner and has vowed never to go back. service - great for me the real bummer was the 4 top booths along the wall; I was very uncomfortable because it seemed the cushions were jabbing my lumbar or kidney depending on how I sat. I couldn't lean forward to listen without being on edge or on the table, I couldn't sit all the way back without not being able to hear very well because of the liveliness. And under the table seemed very cramped. oh well.

We've eaten at TAG at least 6 times in the past 18 months. Always enjoyed it, especially sitting at the chef's counter. Not so great experience Saturday night. Kitchen staff seemed out of sorts, and the food showed. Not up to the usual high standards. But the biggest kicker was the new cheap wine pours. A 3 ounce glass of wine? Seriously? If you're now doing 3 ounce pours and calling that a "glass", tell your customers. But don't charge me 25% of the price of a bottle for that glass. With so many other great restaurants in Denver, we won't be back any time soon.
