  • "This was my 3rd time at Panzano over the last few years. This meal was slightly disappointing. There was a lack of seasoning on some of the dishes. I got the carbonara which I've had before and I could barely taste the black pepper. I previously thought it was a top notch carbonara. Eggplant was cooked well but again, lacking flavor. Since I've had mostly good meals here, I will go back again. However, I won't recommend it anymore until I go back and verify if my last outing was an aberration. To be clear, this was not a bad meal, just not up to bar the restaurant had previously set"

  • "I had previously been to Panzano's to take a cooking class from their executive chef Elise Wiggins which was excellent. This was my basis for taking my friend their for her birthday. We went for a Sunday brunch (breakfast and lunch were available). My friend ordered breakfast of the menu and truly enjoyed her omelette. I decided to have lunch and ordered a Caesar Salad and the Cheese and Eggplant pizza. The Caesar Salad was fantastic. The Cheese and Eggplant Pizza appeared to be very greasy but I assumed it was due to the cheese on it. I had a few slices and took the remainder home. In reheating it as a leftover, it tasted ok, but it was still extremely greasy - more so than a usual pizza."

  • "We were headed for the theater and arrived two hours before our show time. Unfortunately, we were pressed for time, but the service was terrific. Our waiter, Dimitri, was excellent and knowledgeable. My entree was the eggplant which was unremarkable, but the rest of our party were very pleased with their choices. I would return and try other items. We have eaten breakfast there and that is truly outstanding."

  • "Great food with particularly attentive service. Two members of our group are extremely particular eaters and were well accommodated without any drama. In addition, I had to adjust our reservation as our group shrank in number then expanded back up. Again, no drama, great cheer and we were accommodated. And the food! The grilled romaine salad, roasted oysters, pasta, all cannot miss."

  • "The 4 of us had a great dining experience. It started with the delectable brussel sprouts. Nobody should pass up the sprouts. The butternut squash ravioli was dessert for dinner. Mmmmm! Other than one of the lamb chops being fatty and grisly, the rest of the meals were very nicely done."

  • "I went with a friend and both of us are gluten free, and we had a great meal. The gluten free focacia was the best I have had. It is rare to find gluten free that was soft and light. The brussel sprout appetizer was perfect, we had to force ourselves to not finish it to save room for our pizza. I highly recommend it for gluten free diners."

  • "My first experience with Panzano's came several years ago when I was trapped in downtown Denver for two extra days due to a blizzard. As a result, I ate three meals in a row there and the truth is I would happily have gone back again. They may not have invented the Grilled Caesar Salad, but their's was the first I had and it is still wonderful. Their roasted brussel sprouts are not to be missed even if you think you don't like brussel sprouts. Too many restaurants fade with time. So far Panzano is as bright as ever."

  • "My wife and I had not dined outside for a while and we decided to take a break and do so over the weekend. Now, we were hesitant to experiment wildly given we both (a) are vegetarians and (b) have sensitive constitutions. When we looked Panzano up, it looked like a decent place that served up Italian food. Given that they had vegetarian options on the menu, we considered this a a "safe" choice. The experience, however, was nothing short of mind-blowing. It really transformed our expectation on what good dining should be. We would not, in a million years, describe what we experienced as "Italian Food". It was food and flavor re-imagined. Let me just say that this experience would rank about 15 on a scale of 1-10 (10 being best possible)."

  • "We were disappointed in the menu selections. No special entries. Out of several items on menu. It's a thin menu anyway, so out of a item or two makes you wonder what's going on in the kitchen. The shoulder of lamb was all bone with very little meat. The ravioli was medicore, presentation was flawed. After three years of taking guests from out of town to Panzano, afraid we will start looking for another good Italian restaurant in Denver. One exception to the questionable evening was the excellent service by the waiter and rest of staff. Hope it gets better."

  • "Our party of four was well taken care of upon entering. Bar service while waiting for the 5pm opening was ok. The food was very good. Our primary waiter had a good disposition but ignored our table on at least two occasions. Not that we were in a hurry, which would have been even worse, but we were left sitting with menus for at least 20 minutes and could not catch his eye. I sent another waiter after him to little avail. No apology when he finally got to us. He left a lingering bad feeling with our group that could have been avoided on his part."

Brian, our server, was outstanding and the food lived up to my accolades.   • "We read reviews online and thought panzano's would be great, but were seriously disappointed. My husband had the five course Chef's choice while I had the eggplant. Children had the scallops and pasta with marinara sauce. All lacked flavor. My husband's third course was meatballs with tortellini, which was bland and the tortellini was not cooked all the way, they were tough. The waiter was great, knowledgable and friendly. He was the only highlight of the evening."

  • "On our first trip ever to Denver, we stayed at a downtown hotel which was very close to Panzano. Enjoyed a very nice dinner. Bar selections were nice and varied. Appetizers were very interesting. Our meal was very good with these particular items on the edge of outstanding: roasted Brussel sprouts, carrot soup, salmon and perhaps the best sorbets we've ever had!   • "We experienced a very nice couples dinner here. The service from the wait staff was exceptional. Two of us had the scallops which were done perfectly and the other two had the lamb dish. My husband's lamb dish was not as he expected. We don't usually send dishes back but he did let the waiter know that the lamb was dry and chewy and they whisked it away and replaced it immediately. They also did not charge us for either of the lamb dishes. I thought this was a nice gesture on their part. We enjoyed our evening and would definitely eat there again!"
