PanzanoFabulous food!Excellent quality food, great service. One of best meals we had in Denver.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Pleasant Evening MealPanzano is a well-upholstered refuge at an historic corner on Denver's old "Banker's Row". The staff is friendly, and the view onto the street is filled with movement. This last visit we enjoyed the usual flavorful dishes, although the desert was not too exciting. We especially liked the wild mushroom appetizer. The entres had great combinations of ingredients, too. Or waiter helped us choose gratifyingly complimentary wines for or dishes. It was a relaxed occasion in very pleasant surroundings.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDad's BirthdayI brought my father there for his birthday lunch because Panzano is his favorite restaurant in downtown Denver. You guys definitely did not disappoint, another great experience at your location. Everything from food to ambience, it was a great dining experience. Our server even brought out a chocolate dessert with a candle for the old timer, very much appreciated!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMQuality service and delicious foodMet colleagues for lunch. The bread was excellent along with the tasty entrees. The wait staff is very attentive and pleasant.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSome of the best food andSome of the best food and the service made me feel like I was at one of the most high end restaurants - without the tab!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMPanzano Dinner for 10Had a great experience with wonderful service (partucularly waiter - Brian). The food was exceptional with tremendous variety, presentation and flavor. The appetizers and entrees were unusually good for all. The wine list is enormous and the staff well versed.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGood option for gluten sensitivityI'll start out by saying the only negative remark I would have about the restaurant, and that is that the prices seemed a little inflated. That statement comes from an infrequent business traveler who does not typically dine in metropolitan areas.
Despite that, I really enjoyed the restaurant. I cannot eat gluten, and the server seemed very knowledgeable. I was able to select from a specialized menu, and they were even able to modify the day's special for me. A nice surprise was a plate of gluten-free focaccia bread. It was ideal for soaking up the leftover sauce.
Even though we were there at a busy time, the layout of the restaurant made it feel intimate. We were not hearing conversations from the neighboring tables.
Would go again!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing! We went here the night after our wedding, and couldn't have been happier. The food was amazing as well as the service. My husband and I have been here many other times, and will continue to go back to celebrate our special occasions. We had the chefs tasting menu and would highly recommend people try it, it was a good way for both of us to step out of the norm and try some new and wonderful foods.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMPastaThe pasta special which was served with white wine and seafood was perfect.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Pastiche was deliciousThe Pastiche was delicious as was the Lamb special. Great ambience and very attentive service.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebration dinner @ PanzanoThis is a good place to celebrate. However, be aware that it is very expensive and the wine (especially the Italian wines) seem very overpriced! They have a cool IPAD where you get to choose your wine from the extensive (expensive) wine list, but be ready to spend, spend spend! My scallops were exquisite, but they had better have been good when plate appeared with only 3 scallops on it, for which I paid $35! We almost laughed when they were served! (I could have ordered something different and less expensive, but I went for a gluten free option.) I don't suppose you'd be there unless you could afford it... We did have a lovely and memorable celebration of our 30th wedding anniversary and our son's college graduation.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Restaurant in a Lovely HotelReally enjoyed Panzano's - checked it out because we were staying at the Hotel Monaco and Panzano's has great reviews. The food was fantastic, wonderful service, very accommodating toward dietary restrictions. Hope to go back soon!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMKeep returning...I live almost 500 miles from Panzano and yet, it is well worth the trip! This is my second occasion to dine here and it won't be my last. What a wonderful find. Imaginative dishes, fantastic attentive wait staff and welcoming environment. I love that the menu changes but, there are still some tried and true favorites. Can't wait for my next trip to Denver.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMLove Panzano! This is definitely a favorite...the food and service are amazing.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways goodAlways a favorite. We eat here about once a month because it is about the food.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Tapas Style Lunch Menu! The food quality is excellent! I would unreservedly recumbent this restaurant to foodies!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent foodThe food was excellent, also for vegetarians As usual the room was too much cooled down (for europeans) but we asked the waiter to reduce the cooling and then it was OK. Our waiter was excellent as well - knowledgable of the food and the wine.
Pricing is OK for that type of Restaurant,6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMFantasticIt was just amazing! My wife and I loved every bit of it. We did the Chef's tasting 5-course menu. It was enough for two of us. :)6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful foodBesides the hostess everyone was super friendly and nice even when we asked questions. The sushi grade tuna was wonderful and the Pasta al Forno (though I had doubts) was amazing and filling! The waiter was so nice!6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstandingHappy Hour Food and Drinks were Great. Food portions and selections superb.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Healthy Food ExpertlyPreparedI am always looking for organic and local restaurants and this was a real find in downtown Denver! The food was SOOOO special and full of flavor. This was our anniversary celebration and it was the perfect spot!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMTasty power lunchWe have ordered the power lunch. The soup and lasagna were really good and served promptly.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMDinner was excellent, fromDinner was excellent, from the fried Brussels sprouts, salad and entrees were exceptional. The wine list was very good but the wine we ordered was an 09 which they were out of and brought us 2010 and the 2010 has not aged in the bottle long enough yet. The only draw back was being sited next to a group of obnoxious diners who were loud and intimating to other diners.
Our waiter was awesome. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat first meal in Denver!I had done a some research and I knew that they had a few gluten free options, but was surprised to be gendered a gluten free menu, just like the regular menu, but no pasta. Service was excellent, good was very good. Even if you don't like brussels sprouts, you should try theirs, yummy! The lemon creme brulee wa delicious and gluten free. We are heading back for some breakfast, gluten free eggs benedict, exciting.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat place! The excellent staff made the night. The food was amazing too5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful eveningWe stumbled upon this place mostly because it was close to our hotel and because it offered bonus points. What an amazing find. Excellent service, great cocktails, awesome wine list... and even better food. Everything was top drawer, from appetizer to dessert.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMPantastic!I'd not eaten at Panzano in several years but knew the high reputation of the restaurant. It did not disappoint in any way. Also, compared to a visit of several years ago, the decor was chic and upgraded. While I actually wanted to order the Chef's 5-Course Tasting Menu ($55), I was pressed for time, so opted for the veal sweetbreads appetizer and a seafood pasta special of the day. The mixture of scallops, shrimp, salmon, calamari and octopus in a red sauce over homemade pasta was heaven! It is a heavy meal, making a shared dessert of mixed gelato scoops (chocolate, vanilla, and banana) just the right bit of sweet to end the meal before dashing off to the theater.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways Excellent!Stopped in when passing through Denver - Panzano has become our favorite restaurant. Innovative menu, perfectly prepared, great service and a great wine list.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had great food and alsoWe had great food and also for a vegan (me). the waitstaff and host were very friendly, knowledgeable about the food and wine, and very accommodating as we had our 9 month old with us. I will definitely return the next time in denver.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food but ask for a good tableThe food is wonderful. In particular, you should start with the Fattoria Piatto...a very hearty meat & cheese plate. It was so filling we decided to skip salads and head straight for the entree.
My only complaint was the location of the table, far in the back of the restaurant, next to the private dining room. We'd never sit there again. Cramped and boring. The front part of the restaurant was very energetic and lively. Request a table next to the windows, or at least in the front of the restaurant. Dining at the bar looked like a better option, too.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome!!!We went the other night with a group of 12 ladies, old high school friends. Service was great. Food was great. We hadn't seen each other in years, and the waiter was very patient with our chatter and no focus. :). We each enjoyed the food. I personally had the Salmon and it was lovely. Would recommend and will be going back!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Italian in Denver! Was absolutely blown away with Panzano! Not only was the food amazing, the service was superb! We couldn't decide on an appetizer between the brussel sprouts and octopus - so they did a half and half for us. The grilled romaine caesar salad was perfection - I could have eaten a bowl of that for my meal. I had the carbonara, which was the perfect amount of creaminess and saltiness with the pancetta, and the egg on top completed the entire dish. Our waitress was fantastic and really let us enjoy our evening - none of our food came until the previous course was gone, which was a nice change. We enjoyed almost a 3 hour dinner of amazing food, wine and service - we will absolutely return!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful lunchWhile Panzano's power lunch trio was tempting, the special leg of lamb entrée sounded too good to pass up and it lived up to the wonderful description by our terrific waitperson.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent!Food and dessert were excellent. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The brussel sprouts were divine as expected as was everything else.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSatisfiedPanzano's never dissappoints. Always good food and great service. I was looking for a special Mother's Day afternoon dining experience and got it.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMIncredible!!!Truly some of the best food creations in Denver!! The brunch was over the top!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesomeWe had dinner and were so happy with the food and service
we came back for brunch...and that was possibly even better5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOur waiter was exceptional! Our waiter was exceptional! Knew all the food items and described the menu items to a tee. He may have even had a better knowledge of the wonderful wine selections.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Place to Eat!!!We came during brunch time to celebrate a birthday and it was our first time at this restaurant. The food was delicious and they have a great selection of gluten free items for some of our family. Our server was great and was very helpful in answering questions and checking on dishes regarding food allergies. We will definitely be coming back!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome BrunchThird visit with incredable food and service. Never has anyone gone out of their way to make our experience ever lasting.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of our favorite specialOne of our favorite special occasion restaurants. On our anniversary they treated us to some sparkling and a best wishes card. The food was an adventure. The service poised and confident.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful Breakfast/BrunchWe made reservations on a whim this past Sunday because we had always wanted to try Panzano. In short, I was more than impressed. The atmosphere is sophisticated, the menu is inspired, the quality is top notch, and the food overall is amazing. Had their special omelet and it was delicious. The house made bread is phenomenal with a wonderful berry compote. But most impressive was the Polenta Benedict and their Creamy Spiniach Soup. The flavors on both were so fresh and delicate but at the same time rich and indulgent. WOW!!!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful as alwaysOur dinner was wonderful. We took two adults and two 12 year old girls and all enjoyed it! The wait staff was charming, and excellent. They handled our food allergies with concern and discretion. Absolutely wonderful!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent Northern Italian FoodReally wonderful northern Italian restaurant. Service was timely and unobtrusive. Waiter was excellent. Was very helpful and engaging. Ended up giving us his card. Wine list is extensive. The food was excellent. Portions were large enough that they could easily be shared. We had a great window table. A bit expensive but we both felt that we got our money's worth. Will certainly be viewed as the high point of our visit to Denver.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMFabuloso Panzano!Panzano is an excellent choice for lunch or dinner. You would not normally think about a restaurant on 17th at a hotel (Monaco) as a destination restaurant, but it deserves every consideration. It is professional, comfortable, and serves up some of the best Italian around. They are flexible, you can add and subtract ingredients to taste. We had some Caesar salads with fresh scallops that were just super. Try the Panzano risottos, always great, as well as their signature dishes. Overall, this is a very solid restaurant, good service, and well located (we just walked down from a conference at the Grand Hyatt). Very positive experience all around.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMDining ExperienceWe ate at Panzano's for a celebration lunch. We each ordered a Power Lunch which is a 3 course meal that is well worth the price. The salad primavera was absolutely awesome. The lasagna with homemade noodles was out of this world as was the Saltimbocca di Pollo. The wait staff was extremely gracious and polite. I have eaten at Panzano's several times and find each experience a great one.5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing dinnerPhenomenal food and service. The Pastiche was perhaps the best pasta dish I've ever had, and the grilled caesar was one of the best salads I've ever had. Overall, one of the best dinners I've had in Denver.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent food and service.Excellent food and service. Helpful staff. Try the Brussels sprouts. They're terrific. And the breads are so good you might forget to leave room for dinner.4/29/2013 12:00:00 AMOrder the Chef's Tasting Menu.Order the Chef's Tasting Menu. It's a bit pricier than other items on the menu, but you get five small courses of the Chef's recommendations of the day. We had crepes stuffed with mushrooms, a salad with nuts & dates, a lasagne-type pasta, scallops and cheesecake. Delicious! I love that I can order this every time I come here and it will be something new and different.
They have a nice wine menu and I ended up with a tasty glass of Cab. If you are here for Happy Hour or to eat at the bar, good luck! It is PACKED! Reservations at this place are a MUST!4/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went for dinner which wasWe went for dinner which was really good but the real place to be is happy hour. We had a drink in the bar while waiting for our table and they have a lot of the menu available for happy hour in small dishes for $5 and $6, a great way to try everything. Cocktails are reasonable and delicious- try the R and R. I do recommend you skip the Vincigrassi though. Yes, it really is 100 layers but it's like a dry lasagna. Do try the grilled caesar, the pizza, and the bread is outstanding.4/24/2013 12:00:00 AM
