Oxford ExchangeMidday Lunch DateI went to Oxford Exchange for the first time with my two girlfriends. We were all pleased with the food and although service was a little slow, the waiters and waitresses were all very nice and accommodating. The teas and coffee are to die for and the food portions were huge!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMI had been before but broughtI had been before but brought my parents for Mother's Day and they loved it! They came from Orlando so it was a real treat. The atmosphere is like no other in Tampa and we love it.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMBrilliant!Even though I'm not a mother, I really wanted to take my mom out for lunch, and sadly, she didn't want to go! So I went by myself. The staff made me feel like I was royalty, the food was to die for (I had the Halibut), the Tea was Amazing, and there was definitely a nice buzz throughout the whole place! Now my mom is jealous, so I'll take her to the Oxford Exchange for her Birthday. Everything about this restaurant is fabulous, including the price! This is my new favorite place to have some awesome and fresh food in a gorgeous atmosphere.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSouth Tampa GemI have been to Oxford Exchange several times and decided to make reservations for Mother's Day. Our table was ready on time, we were greeted with a complimentary Mimosa and the service and food were wonderful!! The other 5 people in my party had never been before and they all loved it. We spent time in the gift shop and book store afterwards, it was a wonderful brunch.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere!Loved the decor, the service was great, the menu is limited and needs some additional choices. I ordered the Club, the cheese was to thick and it needed a special pesto/mayo. It wasn't great. I will try something else on my next visit. T-Dog5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat good and ambianceThis restaurant is a gem. The food was wonderful and the design of the space was incredible. Make a reservation then arrive early to browse the shop.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMYummyBreakfast was delicious and love the outdoorish area and the special coffees and teas are a treat5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMroast vegetable saladIt was tasty however i think there could have been less green beans. I was expecting sliced eggplant, zucchini, yellow squash and some sweet bell peppers. It could have been roasted a little more. The dressing was good. I probably would not order it again.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMCool vibeThe location is an eclectic mix of shops with a cool ambiance. The sweet potato fries and matcha lemonade are a must try! It was a little on the noisy side in the conservatory but the beautiful natural light made up for it!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant SurpriseThe Oxford Exchange was chosen as a convenient location to meet for lunch . . . We knew nothing about the restaurant, and were pleasantly surprised!! Our meals were outstanding, the server and all support staff were cordial and prompt with all requests. When finished with our meal, we thoroughly enjoyed strolling thru the building and admired the variety of items for sale We LOVED the ambiance, particularly in the bookstore. Thanks so much for a wonderful experience15/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was unbelievable! The Oxford Exchange is just special!
This is a beautiful restaurant and the food was amazing!
This is a place that you expect to see Who's Who!
Definately check out the Tea menu (hot or cold)
DEVINE!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful placeMy food rating wasn't really fair to Oxford Exchange because I think I just ordered something from the menu that I personally did not like and should have sent it back and had them fix it. The hummus wrap just has TOO MUCH HUMMUS! It is prepared similar to bean burrito and had to dig the hummus out as I was eating it. Anything more then a smear of hummus, for me, upsets my stomach and it way too much. Also, my sister thought she was ordering a salad and ended up with a flatbread item. It was not a good day for ordering for us, but could have sent items back, but felt bad in doing so. Therefore, I left unsatisfied with the dining experience. Coffee was delicious!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful New PlaceGreat food and atmosphere .We went to celebrate a friends birthday and I cannot wait to bring my entire family,
Our Witer was excellent and our special tea's wonderful .the spinach salad very good.We decided on a berry tart for
dessert .Over all a great experience .5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMNoiseI love the OE. Have dinned there 5 times now the only thing I think needs work is sound proofing. It is always so loud at times to a point one can't hear the conversation at the table Not side how it could be accomplished without hurting the atmosphere but maybe someone could think of a solution5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAMAZING!Took my family for brunch and they absolutely loved it! The food, the atmosphere, the service, everything!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Place to BeWe took our team here for lunch, and the food was very good. It was a little difficult to carry on steady conversation due to the noise level; but our service and food made up for it. The place was very busy; and unless you want to wait, you need a reservation for lunch! DEFINITELY give their coffees and teas a try! I had their salted caramel latte tea, and it was a delicious dessert substitute!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGood time had by allOn my second visit, I took three friends who had not been to OE before. They loved the character of the building, and we checked out the nooks and crannies. Love what owners have taken such care in the details and what they've done to preserve a Tampa treasure.
We had a reservation and were seated on the second in a comfy booth. The booth did buffer some of the noise, but there can't be a really quiet conversation. We did, however, have a really great lunch--all had tea (yummy) and sandwich (lobster BLT IS great).
We enjoyed the experience and the food. Can't wait until our kids come back to town so we can show them the OE.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOxford Exchange... boo yah!I really like Oxford Exchange, and it's a wonderful space with lots of beautiful decor. The food is excellent too, and I really liked my chicken burger. The only downside to the visit this time was the waiter was only so-so. He was slow to service our table and to get us our bill. Also, we asked him a couple of times about the Mother's Day brunch menu, but he didn't seem to know it. The second time we asked him, he just walked away, which was kind of rude. Otherwise, we are big fans of Oxford Exchange. I am impressed that the Caspers family has taken on this initiative. Blake Casper and Allison Adams are the bomb!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMOxford Exchange Good for the SoulBeing housed in an architectural masterpiece is a plus, but add coffee, tea, comfortable seating, a bookstore, fresh food and well, you feel like you never want to leave. Despite the popularity, the staff is warm and the atmosphere inviting, as if to say "you are the only one that matters right now" and "stay all day if you like." Oxford Exchange's homelike quality is the main ingredient in the food, service, and ambience. I had an incredible chopped spinach salad for lunch. Salty black olives balanced the hint of sweetness in the dressing. And I had a tea, over ice (you can get it hot if you prefer) ...Ti Kuan Yin Goddess of Mercy Oolong Tea. All the senses are engaged here. You will walk away happier than when you arrived. Promise!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMEuro Flare & Top Notch QualityThe ambiance from the moment you walk in the door takes you back to another world. Wether you enter through the Old/New World Book Store or the One of Kind Gift Shop you'll be taken to a place somewhere in Europe. The architecture, design, stimulating smells and warm welcome are a few of the things you'll take in as you exhale and relax. The staff all around was courteous, professional and genuinely polite. Ones pallet will sure to be rejoicing with Chefs Guggino's take on American Cuisine, a delightful journey which is one I look forward to taking again. The final touch with your check inside a vintage book as you conclude your dining experience makes Oxford Exchange my new favorite destination for all types of occasions. Cheers!5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA Place to LingerDon't plan a quick lunch when visiting the Oxford Exchange. The food is so good you want to savor it along with the ambience of the solarium. And, don't miss the fabulous teas, which are excellent iced. Just linger and enjoy!!!5/1/2013 12:00:00 AMfavorite new restaurantStill excited to have a place as special and unique open in Tampa. It is visually stunning, fresh and bright with the beautiful glass atrium and a fun experience thanks to the treasure-filled bookstore and shop attached. Hate to say "it doesn't feel like Tampa." I prefer to think that this is what Tampa is becoming. Loved the chicken burger and blue cheese cole-slaw.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMSomething needs to be doneSomething needs to be done about the noise level. Older people just cannot hear each other. There is nothing to absorb the sound. This is not a complaint--just a suggestion because it is a great place and food is excellent! We took world travelers and they were impressed. That is a compliment.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMThis is not your village innFriendly wait staff set in an incredible environment. Excellent Breakfast with interesting combinations of ingredients. We will be back!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOxford Delight!!!Wow!!! What a great place. I met a colleague there for tea. The ambience was wonderful. We dined in the atrium. So pretty!!!! I'm so glad I didn't miss it. The whole place is fantastic - the shop, the little cafe, the restaurant. It's definitely a bit crowded and loud, but worth it. The food is very good - and the atmosphere is great.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMYum!New summer menu a winner. Had the tuna tacos, lobster sandwich with spicy sweet potato fries. So yummy! So glad Oxford exchange is in Tampa. Everyone needs to support this local business!!4/23/2013 12:00:00 AMVisiting from the west coastVisiting from the west coast and loved this restaurant. Several out of the ordinary dishes including the crispy kale appetizer. Loved the fact you could choose from a list of items to add to a salad or sandwich. The pear was a great addition to the perfect grilled cheese sandwich! Terrific sweet potato fries too! Not too many places offer the variety teas for lunch as this restaurant. They are usually reserved for high tea! The inside area was so inviting to sit with a cup of coffee or tea and read a book4/22/2013 12:00:00 AMA unique experiencePlans are made for return visits as well as a lunch affair for a social group4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved our server Amber'sI loved our server Amber's recommendations. It was my first time their and i took my mom there for a girls day. I thought the bill presentation on an old book was very clever! I wish our server would have known more about the history of the building and OE roots though. I did notice two managers on duty however they were more supervising the staff rather that touching tables and mingling with guests. Great space and delish menu and coffee/tea. As we went on a Saturday brunch and the location of OE I expected at least beer/wine to be available. I was shocked that was not the case though. Hello Brunch= mimosa :) overall I will go again with a foodie friend!4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a wonderful time hereHad a wonderful time here on my 3rd visit to the Oxford. will certainly be back again.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AMMary Ann MassolioSarah,Special Event Coordinator, is absolutely outstanding!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food in an interestingGreat food in an interesting setting. It can get busy at lunch so just be prepared for that. I will continue to come back! My dad's first time and he was very impressed. The owners Allison and Blake have raised the social and food consciousness of Tampa with such a cool spot.4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat lunch menu fresh newgreat lunch menu fresh new choices in dining quality drinks from ice tea to coffee4/17/2013 12:00:00 AMThe spinach salad was so deliciousThe spinach salad was so delicious and creatively presented. I enjoyed the selection of green tea too.
There is still a problem with the noise factor. I requested the atrium which is more quiet.4/15/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrificGreat food great serviceCouTerrificGreat food great serviceCould not have been betterWill be back4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMAll good overall, but nowAll good overall, but now they have changed their menu and options for the afternoon tea which is dissappointing. Hopefully this place does not become just another common 'fill up your gas tank ' and loses the charm.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMI've been to the Oxford ExchangeI've been to the Oxford Exchange several time and love the atmosphere. It is very loud especially in the beautiful sun lit room. Not a place for intimate conversation but a lively atmosphere and reminds me of NYC. It's expensive but a great place to take out of town guests for brunch or lunch. Love the book store part and the gift area. Very expensive but very unique finds. PLan to go back often. I have always made a reservation and liked walking by all those waiting who didn't. Open table makes it so easy.4/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat renovated building...notGreat renovated building...not the best for a quiet conversation, but great food and a very interesting and fub place.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMTampa needs more Oxford ExchangesExcellent food and service. This place is a hidden gem of a restaurant, and dining for breakfast/lunch here is a great way to end an action packed weekend and start a new week. The ambiance is outstanding, and I just love the vibe. This is a Starbucks on steroids, and is a can't miss brunch option! It has an assortment of coffees and teas, hot or iced, and its breakfast/lunch menu is a home run. If there were 10 stars, I would rate it 11.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AM
