  • "Looking for some seafood on a Friday night I found Manhattan on Open Table. A nice selection from seabass and salmon to a seafood tower. What's not to like? Started with a dozen fresh oysters on a half shell, nicely prepared with some wasabi as the kicker. Ask for cocktail sauce if you are a traditionalist like my husband. Lobster bisque soup and a mixed greens salad our seconmd course. The main event for my husband was a lobster mac and cheese. Lots of lobster and the right type of cheese to compliment it. I had the scallops served on rounds of polenta and my choice of fingerlings, wild rice or mashed potatoes. You have a choice to eat in a quiet dining room or near the jazz quartet in the lounge. Nice selection of wines and spirits."

  • "I have lived this place for years and Thursday night was no exception. Live jazz was going in the background and the bar area was full with people and groups. We arrived in time for an hour of happy hour so the martinis and appetizers were flowing. I would recommend the tacos and the sliders...delicious! We ended up sharing an entree (fillet mignon) and ordered a soufle for dessert and literally closed down the place. Definitely a 'must do again soon' place."

  • "First time to this place, like another review said, Mastro's is the place for steak. Reservation was in order and seated in not one of the best tables, a lot of high traffic. The decor was like my grandmother's dining room from the 1960's. The Prime was another story. Cooked to order (Rare) had trouble with the first cut, sinew in the meat. bland and flavorless. The cream spinach all cream with little spinach. Buttermilk mashed potatoes, also bland. Reminded me of the nursing home food where my parent is. But then again this appears to be a 60 + crowd so maybe that is how they like their food. The service was fair, lot of servers ignoring a empty wine glass. if you want prime Rib, Gulliver's is the bench mark for 45 years."

We were seated in the bar area at a cheap folding table. The shrimp on our salad was the consistency of paste. & our entrees were less than appetizing. We were very disappointed and will not return,"

  • "For my birthday, I brought my daughter & 2 others none of which had yet been to MS&S. It didn't disappoint! Our waiter Bobby, provided the best service, attitude and personality I have ever experienced at few restaurants ever. We had the sea bass and while I wish that I hadn't been forced to eat the rice (upon which the fish was resting) to enjoy the beurre blanc sauce, it was an excellent dish. One of my partners had the filet, which he deemed 'perfect' & the otherm a little under the weather had the French onion soup. She loved it & said that it was just what she needed to feel better. I've dined here half a dozen times, but this was the most memorable, relaxing and delicious visit yet!!"

  • "everything was very nice, however when I called to make a 3:30 reservation I was told it was unavailable and would have to be 3:00. We arrived almost 20 min late due to my own bad directions, and the dining room was empty. I was scratching my head that I was told I couldn't have the 3:30 I had asked for. I thought they would be packed and that's why they couldn't give my request. There were only a few people in the bar and a group in a large room aside from the main dining. I would go there again in spite if this confusion."

  • "This was 2nd time to eat at this restaurant and the food and service was just as good as the first time we went. Rib eye and filet are excellent! As we were leaving we noticed they had a band in the bar and the singer was very good. If we didn't already have plans to see a movie, e would have stayed and sat in the bar for drinks & dessert."

This dinner screamed for a baked potato, and none was available. On the plus side are the pretzel rolls and the salads. Overall, a good experience."

  • "This place always provides a great experience, whether it be food, service, or ambiance. Our group tried ostrich for the first time - our server, Gina, suggested it be ordered medium rare. She was right - it tasted excellent and not gamey at all. Spacious restaurant for group gatherings or private events. This place has different room settings, an attractive bar, and live music sometimes."

  • "Overalll, my husband and I had an enjoyable experience. The amuse bouche was dry, though. I know it's free, so I shouldn't complain, but the salmon mousse was dry, like they had piped it out 3 days ago and left it sitting in the fridge. The lobster bisque barely had any lobster and was fairly pricey. I've had better bisques at Roys and McCormicks for less and received more lobster. Our main entrees, the NY Steak and the Shrimp pasta were good. They also gave us a free ice-cream bon bon, at the end for my husband's birthday, which was delicious! Our server, Jesus, was very nice, but I wish he would have offered me an espresso to accompany our dessert, but he forgot to ask and by the time I remembered, most of our ice cream was gone."

  • "If you've always been curious about some unusual meats, this is the place to try them. My dinner began with their French Onion soup. For my tastes, it's the best I've had for a long time - not salty and with a rich broth that is perfect with the bread and melted cheese. Next came the game sampler platter with an elk chop, wild boar chop, bison filet and an ostrich filet, each with its own sauce. The elk was wonderfully tender and tasty, not at all gamey. The bison filet was very moist and flavorful, also quite tender. Their ostrich is also very good; the taste and texture is much closer to meat than it is to poultry. The wild boar was a bit dry, but the taste was there although still quite mild. All in all, a very good meal."

  • "Don't be fooled by Manhattan 's location or outward appearnace. This is a first-rate steak house that also does a remarkable job with seafood and several game entrees. The service is professional and attentive, the atmosphere realxed and comfortable and the bar (with frequent live music) is great for before or after dining. Solid wine list and numerous specialty cocktails (notably martinis), all of which have been top notch. Pricey yes, but worth it for an evening of great food, beverage, service and entertainment. Highly recommended."

  • "As we entered the restaurant I could hear a clarinet. It was like we were in Elaine's where Woody Allen played his clarinet. MHSS has this great 3 piece stylishly attired 40's ensemble and singer(quite good) on Tuesdays. We had dinner in the dining room with a great view into the bar. The menu offered so many choices it was hard to decide what to eat. We had the wedge and pear salads; the portions were huge. While the game selections(elk, bison, e t c) were enticing we went healthy with the ono and halibut. They were great-moist and sauced just right. We had dessert in the bar because the entertainment was too good to pass up. We shared the chocolate cake and the signature apple in pastry. Yummy. The bar is a showpiece."

  • "Not as Good as last time .The steak had so much fat this are second time here within the last month and you get more fat than meat.I don't know if chef just don't care or what but any good chef knows not to serve that at a fine diner you expect that at Norm's not at a place like this for the price you pay even the waitress agree that are steak was full of Fat. We were a party of 6 so we paid a nice price for dinner.Don't think we will ever go back."

  • "OMG!! The Sunday brunch is WONDERFUL!! My boyfriend and I love to try new places for brunch, and this is the best brunch we've experienced outside of Las Vegas and their "mega-buffets." Manhatten Steak & Seafood offers an incredible assortment of foods...Alaskan King Crab (split open...no cracking needed), JUMBO shrimp already peeled and cleaned, oysters on the half shell, Sushi, lox, bagels, and cream cheese, carving station with prime rib and roast duck, made for you crepes, made for you omelets, chicken breast with a creamy lemon and caper sauce, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, and so much more. Desserts that were incredible, and ALL YOU CAN DRINK Champagne...for real. All for around $35 per person. Lastly a live jazz band, too."

  • "We went for the Sunday brunch to celebrate two birthdays. The food was outstanding! We were disappointed, however, when the check arrived and we were charged $32 for orange juice!!! Unlimited champagne apparently did not include the oj for mimosas, but the waiter never mentioned this before hand. Not cool, coffee was included. We also were not given birthday observance like other tables."

  • "The ambience, the staff and the foos (and drinks) are held to the highest standard. My husband and I stumbled across this place by chance when we moved to the area (our first apartment together). It's an unassuming building, almost looks like a residential property amongst a commercial neighborhood, but is nothing short of "wow" when you enter the front door. We recently celebrated our birthdays together with his extended family, and they were all very impressed as well. I love a restaurant that isn't afraid to take chances with their menu. And anyone who can take wild game and make it a gourmet meal gets an "A" in my book. We will definitely be back!"
