  • "Best part was a shared desert of Tarte Tatin! Well executed; however, for the three of us that evening, the experience was less than mediocre. Beet salad was passable; compressed watermelon salad was not. Moules et frites was well below par with a sauce that was not worth dipping a crust of bread into. The scallop main dish was adequate; however, the branzino was tasteless and the veal scaloppini was done in an unidentifiable pink sauce. Coffee was barely tepid. Service was basic but unexceptional. Cannot imagine any long term survival for this place."

  • "On my second visit to Le Bilboquet, I found the food, again to be excellent. Grilled romaine salad and a wonderful halibut with risotto, cherry tomatoes and greens on the side. Healthy and delicious. Was excited to order the Chateau Montelena chardonnay on then menu. One of my favorites. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. The waitress I had 6 weeks ago even remembered me from the first visit and came by the table to say hello. Will definitely go back and recommend to others."

  • "The food was unbelievable! My filet was tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. My husband had the lamb and loved it. A friend was disappointed with the Texas grass-fed ribeye not being as tender as she had hoped. Plus, the sauce on the filet is excellent! I had the bibb salad and it was yummy and my friend had the beat salad and she loved it. Dessert (flourless chocolate cake) was good but I expected WOW from a French restaurant. My only complaint was the slow service. Maybe our waitress thought we were busy talking and didn't want to interrupt but we sat there for a very long time before she took our order and the chairs aren't comfortable enough for leisurely dining."

It was full of partially cooked onions. I had a glass of pinot noir that tasted as though it came from a bottle that had been opened too long."

We ordered scallops with a cold orzo salad and lamb with vegetables, as main courses and escargot with lots of butter and garlic as appetizer. These were prepared perfectly!!! For dessert, we ordered tart tartan, which was good but the chef's version, not the classic, and chocolate mouse which was perfect. Our waiter was superb...not overbearing but there when needed. The owner, Stephan, came to our table and spoke with us, making our visit more personal. The ambiance was simple and casual but elegant, noise levels not too loud, and everything was done just right."

  • "My husband and I had yet another wonderful date night at Le Bilboquet. The service is perfection. The staff are very knowledgeable about wine, as well as how chef prepares the food. They are there whenever you need something, but not obtrusive so you can enjoy your evening and hold a conversation with your dinner companion(s). The food is always fantastic. It is simply prepared, yet flavorful and melt in your mouth good. The halibut I had this past time was so fresh and delicious and chef's take on gazpacho was wonderful. My husband does not like gazpacho, and he loved this one! "

  • "Don't believe D Magazine, this place is much better. I have been to Le Bilboquet about 7-8 times and the place provides very solid though not outstanding traditional french food. Overall, the service has been very good and the staff "knows" the food. Charming bistro feel with open air dining and the manager comes around to say hello and make sure everything is going well. Would recommend the crab appetizer. The steak tartar is consistent and authentic."

This is better: fresher in taste, cooking style and presentation style (both without being trendy). Light, bright ambience and staff. The crab and avocado salad is the best, but so far no dish has been a let down. Cons: When dinner is in full swing and the place is full, it's loud even with all the windows open. In the early phases of the evening, it seems a hostess may double as waiter, which leads to somewhat distracted serving but courses are brought on time and at proper temperature. Chef only "on loan" from the NY establish by the same name; will the goodness last?"

  • "This is one of my favorite restaurants that we frequent. We love the relaxed, clean feel of the restaurant, the waiters are friendly and most importantly, the food is top notch! A few of my favorite entrees are the Canjun Chicken, the filet with the peppercorn sauce and the veal scallopini. For my starters the crab avacado and tuna are the best! I did have lunch here with a few ladies. Perfect place for a "ladies lunch." Lebilboquet put a burger on the menu recently, one of tastiest that I've ever had."
