  • Parking Details: Parking is FREE! We are located in the Opera Galleria building which has an attached parking garage with access from LaPorte b/w College and Mason, and on Mason b/w Mountain and LaPorte. The first hour in the garage is free and we are HAPPY to validate your second hour, so you can PARK FOR FREE at Jax! Walk east from the structure through the Galleria to access our door on College. Street parking is also available and FREE for 2 hours, but it is far less plentiful than the parking structure.

The mussels are to DIE for, but why on earth they don't bring you a giant bowl of big crusty bread to soak up the delicious broth I have no idea. We had to ask for bread and they brought us a puny plate with a few small slices on it. That's a MISS! Service was just so-so. Appeared as if they forgot our drink order at first as took almost 20 mins to get our first round. Second round they brought all of the drinks except for one, which took another 20 minutes. No apologies for the wait times. "

  • "We haven't been here in a long time and thought it would be somewhere different to go. I think the value for $$ has changed and was very weak. No bread was served with meal, sides are all priced separately(I don't remember this from previous visits) Happy hour was ok, although they say 1/2 price items in all reality they are just 1/2 portion sides with 1/2 the price, The menu is very small, There's not a lot of entree selection unless you like oysters. From what I hear Oyster bar is excellent. I had the King Crab which was really good, and my wife had the Ahi Tuna which was also very good as well. So quality of food is very good."

  • "Our first experience here was shortly after they opened. We were disappointed. I am happy to report that most of the issues we had the first time have been corrected. Our server, Juan, is not the typical college student but had the skill and personality of a server used to working in an upscale dining room. He was attentive but not intrusive. The food was innovative but not so trendy that we were puzzled by what was on the plate. My husband's only negative comment was "three scallops for $30?" Four scallops would have been better. Without inner walls, the rooms are noisy and some of the tables are very cramped. The manager said there were plans to address this in the near future. Overall a lovely meal with outstanding service."

  • "My husband and I have been to Jax twice, and each time, we loved the food and the service. The first time was on a Sunday and we did not make a reservation because we thought if we arrived early, around 5pm, it would not be too crowded. Boy were we wrong because it was hopping already. We found 2 seats at the bar and stayed there for the Sunday fish and chips special, which was great. For most of the meal, we carried on an entertaining conversation with the bar staff, who were welcoming and jovial. We had a great time and vowed to return, which we did with friends. Again, the food and service were great. We need to go back again to give the Scottish salmon a try as it looks delicious!"

  • "Sorry Jax, but you failed me last friday night. I realize your busy -so I'm not going to complain about the long wait. However, when my party of 7 (which included 5 out of towners) got seated we were hungry and ready to eat. I raved to my out of town friends that this was expensive but good food. I had the expensive part correct is all they could say. Besides that that the stupid music was blaring loud. Good music, just WAY too loud. The truffle fries were great BUT, two of us had the cast iron seared scallops and they were VERY gritty. My wife had some kind of tuna salad that was tasteless. Overall, we had a terrible $300 experience. I expect better than mediocre when I come to Jax. Perhaps it was a bad night but i hate excuses."

  • "I loved the ambiance but there are some issues. The special menu was good but the price was too high for such a small serving. The scallops were tiny and I mean tiny! They were the size of my pinky meat. I'm used to half dollar size scallops like I received at Fruition in Denver. The table was to close to the bar. We had people trying to sign their bill receipt on the table and others trying to sit down at the table as well. I found that quit rude. This was for Valentine's day."

  • "We love Jax for its creative foods, and most recently went there as a treat for my mother-in-law's birthday. She loved her blackened catfish, and my husband and I both got burgers this time. Since I'm gluten-free, I had mine without the bun and thought it was very good. Also loved their chips on the side. Our appetizer of peel-n-eat shrimp was excellent as well. Most exciting was our server's interest in taking good care of our one-year-old son. He put in an order of potatoes for my son early, so that he'd have it before we got our meals - and this meant our toddler never became impatient throughout the whole dinner. We really appreciated the ability to get awesome, adult food in a place that was so welcoming to little ones as well!"

  • "We always have good food at Jax and love the high energy, friendly ambiance. This last time, though, on a very busy Saturday night there was confusion with our OpenTable reservation. Ultimately it was sorted out, but it put a damper on our enjoyment and caused us to skip dessert due to a time crunch. The waiter was very nice when I ordered a drink I didn't want. The last two or three visits my greens have been overly salty. On this visit, the hushpuppy in the lobster bisque was too greasy. Other than that, the fish is always cooked perfectly and the flavor combinations are interesting and good. They used to have the best dessert in Fort Collins, a chocolate and caramel tart, but took it off the menu. I still miss it months later."
