A word from Greg's Grill
Owners Greg & Teresa Hubert opened Greg's Grill in the spring of 2007. Their long history in the restaurant industry and passion for excellent service and great food led them to create a beautiful restaurant that reflects their high standards and attention to detail.
Situated in the heart of the historic Old Mill District of Bend Oregon, Greg's Grill sits amidst the bustle of movie theaters, art galleries and restaurants.
A lively place for any occasion, it offers a variety of foods with an emphasis on contemporary Northwest cuisine to include rotisserie prime rib, choice-cut steaks, seafood, and chicken cooked to perfection over our apple-wood and mesquite fired grill.
Inside, Northwest style architecture utilizes natural materials and floor-to-ceiling windows, which overlook beautifully landscaped patios, the Deschutes River and the Cascade mountain range. Greg's Grill is a comfortable place to sit and enjoy good times with friends and family.

We started out in the bar with a cocktail... then out to the patio to enjoy a lovely outdoor experience overlooking the Deschutes during sunset with some background music coming from the amphitheater across the river. The baked brie appetizer is a must...loved it and their daily special caprese salad was a good choice as well. And the chicken picatta was quite good, as was the salmon. Bon appetite!!! We'll definitely be back next time in Bend."

  • "One of our favorite places to eat when we visit Bend. This time we both had flat iron steaks. Both were small. One was way under cooked, but not worth returning to the grill, as it had a tough piece of gristle running across the whole piece of meat. We asked to have no starch but double the veggies, they were done nicely, but small serving and the asparagus was prepped poorly with a couple of tough ends left on at the root end. The manager stopped by the table and asked how the meals were. We shared about the steak and he offered to comp dessert. We declined as we're on weight watchers and trying to be good. We're not giving up, and will try again next time we're in Bend."

  • "Greg's has improved their food prep recently with more consistency. But this visit was not as good as they can do. Spare ribs as an appetizer were greasy and lacked any seasoning punch. Cobb salad without meat was missing a lot of the mexican style garnish promised, but was cold and crisp. Wait staff was great even though they were very busy. Know they can do better. Will return."

  • "They told me to come 1/2 hour before reservation to get patio seating. When I showed up 1/2 hour early I was told that they would not put me in line to get a table until half of my reservation for 6 people showed up. I stated they were two sets of 70 year old parents (in-laws included) and I told them to get there at the reservation time. They made me sit in the foyer until half the party arrived. WHAT A WASTE OF MY TIME!!! I did what they asked to get an outside table then didn't gibe it to me!!"

  • "Every time I've gone there, the noise level is nothing short of a rocket taking off from Cape Canaveral. It is way too loud to carry on a decent conversation. You almost have to shout when you're just across the table. Too much "kitcheny" noise -- plates rattling, etc."

  • "First, they seem to have finally fixed the horrific smell when walking through the front door. I know this was a long-term issue, and quite the headache, so well done. Our food for the evening was the ahi appetizer, chicken piccata & coconut prawns. For the ahi, the wasabi sauce was outstanding. The ahi itself was so-so, very overcooked (mostly medium, very little pink center). The chicken piccata was a disappointment all the way around...from the glue/paste consistency of the mashed potatoes, to overdone asparagus, to chicken lacking any flavor. You might consider breast filets in order to cook more evenly, and reconsider the batter, Panko perhaps. There really wasn't sauce to speak of on the chicken, and the capers were dried out."

  • "We've been frequenting Greg's Grill (literally) before it opened. We were fortunate enough to know the person who was training the servers, and were invited to a pre-grand opening dinner. Their menu has evolved into a perfection amount of dishes, all of which are unique in their own way, and will certainly satisfy most every palate. The steaks are incredible, seafood dishes and pasta specials are always memorable, portions are generous, and the service is always first rate. Highly recommended - and always opt for a window or patio seat so you can watch the river. "

The décor includes high wood ceilings, floor to ceiling windows and beautiful colors. The food is very well done and the waiter this time made our trip extra fun.   • "We had never been to Gregg's Grill before and thought it would be a great place to have dinner. The service, food and ambience were fabulous! We were seated at a table overlooking the river and our server, Mel, was friendly and very efficient. Ribs and steak were delicious! However, the wine list may be notable, but definitely lacking. My friend and I both like a good Pinot Noir and tried 3 different vintners before we just gave up. Finally, the sommelier came to our table, discussed what we wanted, said they really didn't have anything comparable and recommended a fourth label - was not any better than the first 3. Sorry Gregg's..."

All things considered, our recent dinner was simply ok, being marred by the wait staff being understaffed. Our waiter totally forgot our appetizer, for example, and we never saw him again until half way through our meal. The staff is great when they're not busy though."

  • "I chose to eat here because of the care they give to their gluten free customers. I ordered the salmon from the gluten free menu but it came without the sauce. When I asked about it, they informed me that they had switched brands of soy sauce and did not have any gluten free sauce. When I asked for an alternative they reported not having any gluten free sauces. The chef proceeded to make me a homemade sauce from scratch. It was amazing! It was so nice to realize how much they care....and this was on a busy Saturday night at dinner time. Thanks for making it a wonderful experience. We will continue to dine here as they are one of our favorites in Bend!!"
