  • "We must have eaten at another Bouche Bistro because our dinning experience was nothing like the many reviews on open table. We sent back the tenderloin tartar as it was a dreadful gooey mustardy mess. My halibut was overcooked, dry and tasteless Husband's salmon was cooked properly on the top side but over cooked on the bottom. The "Classic" Ceasar salad was not and they wanted to charge $3.00 for anchovies. The tiny metal chairs were butt Killers and our server was stoic and aloof. Although we are professional diners, we thought maybe we hit an off night. However, it was reassuring to know our hotel concierge said many guest have had similar experiences. With so many great dinning opportunities in Santa Fe, you can skip this one!"

  • "The tables are a little too close together and a little small which is the only reason for not giving this restaurant a perfect 5 star rating. The food was BEYOND wonderful. The beet and asparagus starter was my favorite, also splurged with the foie gras of the eve--perhaps too pricey for the size but quite the taste treat. 4 different entres all described as spectacular by our group. Generously Bouche offers half portions of some main dishes, making it easier to sample the artistry, a truly spectacular food experience. About $50 per person with wine, including tip et al., could probably do it for less but why?"

  • "Bouche Bistro is our favorite restaurant in Santa Fe, along with Vinagrette. Both have their own gardens/farms, which ensures fresh produce. But most important, the food at Bouche Bistro is delicious and the service top-notch. This is bistro fare but executed in a manner that goes beyond a typical bistro. The chilled soups, fish, and small plates such as the wild mushroom ravioli are wonderful. And we assume the other dishes are as well, we just haven't been able to taste them all yet! The restaurant is cozy and inviting, and in warm weather the covered patio is the best place to be eating great food. Finally, a wine list that contains many gems, including wines from Kermit Lynch, always a good indicator of a strong list."

They do a very good job of creating a relaxed, yet elegant european atmosphere with contemporary place settings at tables on the patio surrounded by very comfortable red metal chairs - I felt like I was a world away from our daily routines. The heirloom tomato salad was the most memorable I've tasted in many years. I also ordered the escargot to share and the small plate of mushroom ravioli, which was the perfect portion size for me and uniquely delicious with the pea reduction sauce. The service was very attentive. We will return."

A lovely selection of "small plates" and appetizers with locally sourced ingredients, including bistro favorites such as escargot, seared fois gras, steak frites, and perfectly cooked sweetbreads with wild mushrooms. Our waiter was gracious and knowledgeable, recommending of a ZD Pinot Noir (by the glass) to accent the sweetbreads, after starting off with a half bottle of Ruinart Champagne with our Heirloom Tomato/house-made Burrata salad, and thinly shaved tuna carpaccio. The desert list was equally appealing. The Chef/owner Charles circulated the room from time to time ensuring the overall satisfaction of his guests. Highly recommended!"

  • "We had a great evening at Bouche. The staff is very professional and the ambiance is lovely but the food is the draw. Grilled octopus was good, not great. 3 very tiny pieces that although grilled nicely could have been enhanced with a bit more flavor - even a drizzle of great olive oil would have helped. The black mussels w/ a touch of red chile were the star attraction! Going back here to have the mussels as an entree - sopping it all up the best bread in Santa Fe. Very good chicken paillard, nicely spiced and perfect for a summer evening. This restaurant is a real plus for the SF food scene - definitely recommend it."
