  • "The food and service was amazing, I will for sure be returning!"

  • "I took my fiance here for our anniversary. The brunch was amazing. But we didn't see any pasta and our server didn't inform us on how to order it either. The grilled pineapple is a must! The ribs and wings were very flavourful the first time around. The wings didn't have any cajun seasoning the second time. The servers with the meat assume you only want a little and leave. You have to ask for more, which I find unpleasant since we are paying for all you can eat. The self serve ice cream sundae is disappointing. There is only a tub of vanilla ice cream, some crushed up oreos and chocolate chips. The seafood station was very fresh. The desserts were also plentiful. I would definitely come back. I just have to get used to asking for more."

  • "I've been to Sunday brunch at Bolero a few times and absolutely love it. There is a huge variety of fresh, often in-house made food - rotisserie meats, cakes (and other desserts), ice cream, fruit, salads, delicious breads and cheeses, eggs and crepes made to order, seafood ...as well as assorted sauces and oils provided alongside the salad bar. The food is also mostly local, organic and sustainable, so if you care about delicious eating that's good for the environment and cruelty-free, this is your place. The service is always friendly and fast. The only down side (and it's such a small thing) is there are no windows. The decor is gorgeous, the restaurant friendly and spacious, it can just sometimes feel a little bit like a dungeon."

  • "I found the meat very good but most of the beef was too rare! Otherwise really enjoyable time!"

  • "Bolero was a great place to go....once. I honestly can't see myself going back, but that's not a knock against the restaurant. Their food was great and the staff was very attentive and pleasant, I just can't justify spending $40 on the amount of food I eat. I'm not a big meat eater and I don't eat a lot, so the novelty of the restaurant holds little return for me. If you're a carnivore extraordinaire, then this is your place. If you're the average restaurant goer, you'll probably reserve this place for special occasions."

  • "The food was absolutely amazing. Took my boyfriend for his birthday. A bit pricey but worth the experience. Would definitely recommend and go back."

  • "My husband decided he wanted to go to Bolero for his birthday dinner as he really likes it, we have been there twice before for other occasions. This was the first time we had a big group. The other 2 times were a much different experience. I don't think this restaurant is very good at accommodating larger groups. We had a couple tables that were pushed up to a booth which made it very difficult for the people stuck in the booth to get in and out, get meat from the servers and to communicate with anyone but themselves. Our server had a hard time keeping up with us as we were drinking heavily. We had to keep asking for drinks instead of her asking if we needed another one. Despite these frustrations, we had a good time because of our company"

  • "We had dinner at this restaurant on Friday evening. We had the full rodizio experience, where you get unlimited access to the salad bar and to the cuts of meat that the servers bring around. The meat was quite good, but the salad bar was disappointing. It was OK, just not as fresh and tasty as it could have been. We had coconut creme brulee for dessert. It was good, but not sure of why it took so long to get it if it was cold (I thought it was going to be warm out of the oven given the time it took to come to our table). Our table for two was in a very dark spot (no spot light right above it) so I had great difficulty seeing my food. This is not a horrible restaurant by any means, but I have definitely been to better ones."

  • "It was a great place if you love to eat meat. It had other options but you mut go on an empty stomach and make sure to leave room for dessert as it is amazing! I had the coconut creme brulee and tres leches."

  • "I felt that it was worth trying if you want to get a Brazilian BBQ experience. I found the restaurant to be a 6/10 for me. Nothing specifically wrong with any of it but I have had better Brazilian!"

  • "My husband and I visited for his birthday after hearing great things from friends. The waiter assigned to our table lack energy, but brought us drinks timely, and was fine at first. The salad bar sides were delicious, and the meat started to come at a good pace. After about 25 minutes of good food and service, everything stopped. We didn't see another meat option or our waiter for over 20 minutes. My husband tried to wave down a couple servers, and tried to find our waiter, but no no avail. Finally, after 20 minutes of no service, we left. It was a disappointing ending to what started as a great night. We will not be returning."

  • "If you love meat and want to have it in the Brazilian bbq style, this is a very good place. But if you are Brazilian and want to have other Brazilian foods from the buffet, you're not going to fins many options."

  • "Love Bolero's! Probably the best Brazilian Steak House I've been to in Calgary! Service was amazing. Food was to die for. Definitely a place you need to go to hungry!!!!!"

  • "I brought my friends from Malaysia and they like the ambience and the uniqueness of serving the food. Our favorites include grilled pineapple, coconut rice, smoke bacon wrapped chicken, lamb shoulder and garlic parmesan steak."

  • "Our waiter was actually very nice when attentive. Left plates on our table and was hard to flag down. The Service of those bring the meat around was frustrating. If your table isn't in the main 'track' you will be ignored. We asked repeatedly for them to send whom ever have the grilled pineapple and a few others, everyone said sure but no one came. Other than the pineapple, the rest only came to our table by accident. We never got pineapple. If it was my restaurant, I would have those carrying the meat have some personality and really make you want it. Overall, is was disappointing due to the service. If my food had just been dropped off, I would have been very happy as it was delicious."

  • "We were a group of 4 and we arrived at around 7 and Bolero was relatively busy. As we sat down we were approached by lots of men offering us lamb to steak. The food was honestly better than any meat I could find at Moxies, or Sakana Grill - I enjoyed it this much. Typically when I go to Moxies or any other steakhouse I order a relatively large steak with mashed potatoes on the side but I leave with some hunger in my stomach. This place is honestly so good I wish I could come here every day. The grilled pineapple is so juicy and delicious, it has a Smokey taste to it that everyone at my table enjoyed. Our waiter was helpful and knew the desserts as if he personally made them. This place is great, I am definitely going to come back here."

  • "My wife and I discovered the Smugglers Group a couple years back and we love it. Bolero has become one of our favorite restaurants to eat at, the food is always amazing and you never leave hungry."

  • "The food was good quality and hot when the servers came to the table. The visits to the table started at a good pace, but unfortunately deteriorated as time went on, eventhough our table marker indicated we wanted more. We were seated close to the cold buffet and grill, but seemed to keep getting bypassed by servers as they rushed off to other tables right next to us. We finally needed to stop servers and call them over. We did ask our waiter for two items that we were not able to get and he was able to bring them over. Unfortunately a few of our party left still hungry, which shouldn't happen at an all-you-can-eat, but we were already there over 2 hours and were tired of waiting."

  • "We stumbled upon this place and figured why not try? The service was amazing I loved the hot/cold salad-food bar you start with. Gare nteed you will not need to go back and only take a small amount! You are spoiled with amazing cuts of meat until you say no more. Have to say the bacon wrapped chicken is my favorite!"

  • "The food is going down hill, seems like they are using cheaper cuts if meat. Sadly was my favorite place but now not so much. We will not be back. Not worth the price paid!"

  • "I made the reservation to Bolero for my boyfriend's 25th birthday.. He had been to the restaurant a few times previous but it was my first visit. We were quite impressed with the selection of steak and the salad bar was good. We were excited for the crab legs, but they were very hard to crack because there weren't any crackers readily available. Our server Ian was great. He was attentive, very pleasant and professional. I had made our reservation online and had written in the comments that it was my boyfriends birthday.. He had forgotten but when we mentioned it he apologized and brought us a dessert free of charge. It would be nice if there was a more strict dress code, but would we return to Bolero in the future? Definitely. Thank you!"

  • "The food here was on par with the numerous other times I have visited Boleros, and although it's pricey for what you get, the atmosphere and social experience make up for it. However, the service was horrendous this time. We were greeted by a very rude gentleman and were asked to wait at the bar for 25 minutes even though we had a reservation. The majority of the food servers were very rude and seemed miserable. We tried to be jovial and friendly to all, but it didn't help. Boleros normally has a fun environment that makes celebrating special occasions exciting. However, this time the staff made the experience stiff and cold, and I would not recommend anyone go here to celebrate anything."

  • "My second visit to Calgary and Bolero's was the top of the list of places to go back to. Anniversary dinner with my husband and our son. Great food, service was excellent, the staff coming around to the table were friendly, knowledgeable and were fun. Thanks again and we will be back."

  • "Bolero is always a fun place to go with a group of friends. The buffet and variety of meats keep things interesting and interactive as the meal progresses. The staff memebr are friendly and provide good service. As an added bonus, eating at Bolero with food allergies is relatively easy."

  • "This would be our 5th time to Bolero. Service was great and food was wonderful. Didn't have to wait long for a skewer to come by our table. Waitress was great, was around when needed but not annoying. Overall a great experience once again. These guys and gals know how to cook and run a restaurant. We will be back."

  • "We took our son out for a fun dinner to celebrate his high school graduation. That meant we had to feed four big lads plus the rest of us. The environment was fun, the salad bar had a large delicious selection and the endless supply of meat of different variety was great. Service staff was attentive and we got our food promptly. The variety of meat offerings was generous and prepared nicely, and we especially enjoyed the bacon wrapped filet and the italian sausage."

  • "I took my daughter and friends here for a milestone birthday. We had an excellent server/host who was super accommodating, did not become annoyed or frustrated at all at any time. He was relaxed and friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. Honestly, he was great. The food was wonderful, as always and it was a VERY enjoyable and unrushed evening. Boleros has become our new family favorite place for celebrating occasions."
