1.0 star rating 5/19/2019 I will never go to this restaurant again. We had reservations for Mother's Day only to discover that Artichoke cafe was closed when we arrived. There was no mention on their site that they would be closed on this day. What's more we were asked to confirm the reservation! If that wasn't bad enough, the manager, Shane, tried to blame the mishap on the digital confirmation service, Resy, when I called to tell him what had happened. He said there was nothing he could do. He could have cared less. If this was my business, I would have been mortified and done whatever necessary to try and keep that customer happy. Based on this, I'd say the restaurant is poorly managed. Given that it bills itself as a fine dining experience in Albuquerque you would expect top-notch care and attention, especially when you've been a repeat customer over the years. Friends, there are other, better places to have a fine meal in Albuquerque. I'd recommend Los Pablonas instead. You'll experience excellent food, excellent service, and top-drawer management!

Early flight to DC following day so quick trip to Albuquerque with friends who had never eaten here. They are now converts too. The scallops were delicious, the duck as always divine, the steak and frittes made the gluten intolerant of group happy and husband loved the pork chop. Remains one of our "carrots" for a trip to albuquerque

Outstanding food with a great variety of selections and excellent preparation and presentation. Service was excellent with the patience necessary to wait for us to walk our way through the different course selections.

Artichoke Cafe is one of our favorite restaurants in Albuquerque. Food is always excellent, service is too. My husband as usual started with a Caesar salad ( this one was colorful with mixed romaine lettuce), followed by prime rib. I started with tomato basil soup and had the crab cake appetizer as my entree. Perfect portions leaving room for essentials like dessert. Completing the meal was the cheesecake with candied ginger.. a nice lighter version.

I love artichoke cafe and we come sporadically. I do *usually think it’s one of the best restaurants in ABQ (our food scene is not great). This visit was disappointing however. I ordered the scallops which is one of their signature dishes and he scallops came out perfectly cooked and tender with a nice sear but completely COLD. I actually sent back the plate because I don’t eat cold food, which I have not done in quite some time. They did remake me an entire new dish and the second came out warm as expected. The flavors were good. The only other issue was the risotto, while tasty, was clearly RUSHED and crunchy. For a $39 entree I expect better. They gave us free dessert - a stingy attempt at apologizing in my honest opinion. They clearly would rather ensure they get as much money from me on this visit rather than work hard to make me want to come back. It’s so rare for a restaurant to go above and beyond to make up for poor service or food preparation. I would be embarrassed if I were the owner. Sad to leave this review as I love artichoke cafe, but you guys need to get it together.

This was a special evening out and highly talked about. It’s pricey - and the portions quite small. But it was delicious. If you want fancy, this is your place!

This is my favorite special lunch place. We celebrated my brothers birthday . He loved the shepherds pie . The red chili mashed potatoes accented this fabulous dish. The small muffins in the bread basket are just the right size and so delicious. The unsweetened ice tea is so refreshing. The service is always over the top! Love this place👍
