   We have gone to this restaurant many times before but not for the past 6 months. This time it was not at all as we have become accustomed to. Service was glacially slow without the slightest attempt on the part of the service person to apologize and recognize the issue. My partner had the filet mignon which was excellent. I had the chicken schnitzel which was oozing grease and virtually inedible.

   We have enjoyed Zin for several years, the food quality however is not what it was. Doubt that we will be going back.

   On our inaugural visit, we were thoroughly impressed by the exceptional dining experience. The cuisine was delectable, and the service was impeccable. The outdoor seating area, particularly the covered patio, provided an ideal ambiance for relaxation.

   I visited from Los Angeles for a birthday weekend. I spoke with the hostess from the lunch shift to let him know we would be attending another event right after dinner. He suggested a 6:15pm reservation since we would need to leave by 745pm. He noted to me he would set aside a nice table outside and make sure the staff knew to take care of us. When we arrived the hostess was very abrupt and rude. Asked if we had reserved and proceeded to take us indoors. I asked about the table and she said “Well I have a table outdoors but it will be in the sun” and would not look me in the eyes. Didn’t acknowledge the birthday in the notes. I let her know of the time constraints again and she ignored me and sat us at a table. The waitress took over 15 minutes to touch the table. Needless to say I had to keep reminding them I had to leave. The restaurants was not busy and so I don’t know why we waited for so long. We had to rush right out. It was not a pleasant experience for my birthday. Felt rushed and the hostess was the first thing that set my mood. Food was great though!

   Great evening at Zin. The service, portions, timing and was all wonderful. However we felt each dish could have had more flavor in one way or another.

   Food is very good and plenty of variety on the menu. Patio is large and covered. Since it’s on the Main Street in Palm Springs there is a lot of road noise. Great location and lots of parking close by the restaurant.

    Wonderful food and service. Loved the Bennies and especially the Bloody Marys.
