The food was fantastic! I loved the service and everything we ordered was incredible.
Our server Ben was fantastic! If your looking for a great night and level a service that elevates your dining experience...requested Ben!
We had a great experience at Zelo. Came in for a National Conference and attended with two of our friends. All of our food was great: the salads, scallops, pasta, fish - all so good. The bread was not your typical baguette and we devoured it. Our server was very courteous and fun. Would definitely go back.
The ambience was incredible the service was incredible. The only complain I had was regarding portion sizes. The pasta I got tasted alright but was probably half of a normal bowl for 20 dollars. If they gave me a normal size serving everything would have been amazing and also the pasta was well past al dente. The tiramisu was also absolutely incredible on the other hand. All in all I would likely stay in and make my own pasta than go here again. Or stop in for dessert which was worth returning for.
Wonderful food and wonderful service!
I love, love, love Zelo! I have been there quite a few times, and I have always had a great experience. This was my first time having Ben as a server, and he was wonderful! He has a lot of knowledge about wines, and he was able to direct us to which bottles we would most likely enjoy based on our palettes. I am already looking forward to dining there again soon.
We have been to Zelo several times and love it. We took friends, who had not been there, for their birthday celebration. Food was awesome but our waitress was not. We have always had great service, but I noted on our reservation that we were celebrating a birthday and told the waitress when she first came to the table, and she never acknowledged it again. I will still go here without hesitation
Love the sea bass and the Brussel sprouts were phenomenal!
Great food regardless of price. But also not expensive
My husband and I went for Valentine’s Day! We had reservations and got seated right away. The service and food was amazing!
The appetizer was beyond delicious and I had the lasagna which was amazing! My boyfriend was very excited to get the New York strip steak and was then let down greatly when he tried it. I also tried it and felt it had no flavor what so ever and did not feel it was worth $48. We don’t see our selves going back since it’s so pricey and hit or miss with the quality.
The service was awful. It was our first time dining at Zelo. Our server, Sarah, leaned on our table with both hands all night long. You could feel the entire table move every time. Sarah did not tell us about the restaurant or the V-Day specials they were offering that day. I had to constantly ask for BASIC service such as: plates to eat my appetizers with, share plates for entrees (despite telling her when ordering we would be splitting everything). She gave us bread plates to share our entrees so I had to ask for dinner sized plates. I had to ask her to clear the table of crumbs. She complained that it was her server assistant's job and fumbled through her shirt to find her crumber tool. Things were falling out so she had to step away. Definitely not classy or refined service. She dropped the check shorty after dessert and continued to interrupt us through dessert to get payment. It was incredibly intrusive and we felt rushed to leave. Do not be fooled by the white table cloths. You will not be receiving such service.
Had a great dinner while visiting Minneapolis, very nice setting with a busy bar. Superb service, my waiter (Jon) was exceptional and really made us feel at home. Definitely worth a visit.
My husband and I came here for anniversary dinner. A receptionist was friendly and we got seated right away. We had pastas and calamari. For the price, food was just okay. The server was rather awkard and unfriendly but other bussers were very pleasant. Overall it was a good anniversary dinner and I would come back for other special occasions but won't be back for its food.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Our food was delicious. We would recommend to anyone wanting a nice place to eat downtown
Just fantastic experience as always. Usually have lunch here or it the sister restaurant, Ciao Bella, but finally had dinner here. Excellent service, food was incredible and the wine fantastic.
I had a delicious meal and a great server. It was crowded and busy but I still got a lot of attention even though I was there alone.
Great meal and really good menu. Would be fun to return with friends.
The service and the food was great although it was quite loud.
The wait staff as knowledgeable of the menu, warm, and welcoming. I've never had ahi tuna taste so good before.
It is the only place my god-son (who is a very particular guy when it comes to food and drink) wants to go for our annual "every other month dinner" date. We've done this for so many years I've lost track - and that's all you need to know. Zelo is always a fine choice.
Great meal. Love the bread and Italian dishes.
I frequent Zelo. It's one of my favorite places downtown. I am a local guide on Google for restaurant reviews and visit many. Just want to give you a heads-up on the situation Sunday night made reservations requested a window seat. The request wasn't recognized but the seating was totally fine. however there was a group of 10 to 12 people that were disrupting the entire place and it ruined our experience. I was on a first date with a woman and trying to leave a good impression. Wanted to mention the risotto was fantastic! The fettuccine chicken Alfredo was at best bland. Surely not what I'm used to with your establishment. The service was fantastic Galen did a Great job! Just wanted to tell you what my experience was like on Sunday night and maybe shed some light on situations with crazy patrons I think they should have been told to simmer down. Thank you for reading I thought you might want to know.
Amazing host, great food and wonderful wine
Great service and food! Our server Erica was fantastic!
Great food! Our server had too many tables, though. He was very busy and struggling to keep up.
The service and food was fabulous. Even though Sangria is no longer on the cocktail menu, the bartender still made it for us. Our waiter discovered we adore the truffle aioli, so he brought us a little bit with our small plates. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely be back.
Lovely and our waitress was awesome!
The beet salad was excellent, but the walleye special was just OK. Wine is over priced.
I always enjoy Zelos, especially before the theatre. The wait staff is excellent - fun, friendly and knowledgeable. The food is fantastic too.
Zelo is always a great night out. The food is always fresh and flavorful. The service is always outstanding. The atmosphere is energetic and hip without being over the top. I love to cook and rarely go out, but when I do I love coming to Zelo! It's always incredible .
My server recognizes and remembers my order each time Im there as I meet clients in the same booth by the window each time. That's quality service! Small things.
I love the room design, it had many interesting things to look at. However, with so many hardscapes, the noise level makes it extremely difficult to hear the person beside you. The wines, appetizers, bread, salad and dessert were wonderful. Both of us felt the entree wasn't worth the price. I had the Fruti de Mar pasta - the mussels were the size of a pea, the fish was over cooked. The shrimp were small but tasted good. At least it cost a lot of money.
