One of the best sushi places in LA
Omakase with Yojisan, it should be Yojisama, is extraordinary. the dishes are beautiful; the flavors and textures mesh but do not collide. My son and I are long time fans - long live Yoji sama
Didn't like the grey decor. The guy at the front desk was very sour and unwelcoming. Service was ok, food was ok....nothing really remarkable about the place at all
Great lunch right off Rodeo!
Wonderful food and service.
Great! We will go again. Great neighborhood place
We live in Hawaii and know sushi - as it is our favorite food. When we return to Los Angeles/Beverly
Hills - which we do regularly, Yogisan is always one of our first restaurant picks. The food is always
delicious, fresh and creative....however, on this experience, Yogi wasn't behind the sushi bar (our
favorite way to eat sushi - with the chef)...and the chef who was behind the bar said one word to us:
Hello. That's it. Our order was taken by the restaurant's excellent staff - helpful and efficient. But,
for us - dining with a chef that can make recommendations and conversation - is what sushi dining
is all about. This was a BIG disappointment to us. It took the fun out of dining there. This spot is never
really very busy - as we experienced in the past - but, this night the place was empty which we find odd
and awkward at the same time. Wish the chef was more fun/talkative and perhaps the next time we will
call first to ensure Yogi is working. With this said, Yogisan is in a great location and we have always enjoyed in the past. Aloha
We love this restaurant, very good food and excellent service.
Great food and good service although they left us hanging on paying the bill. I thought restaurants had stopped that!
Real criticism is that the tables are small and there is no room between the bench and the table, made the whole thing uncomfortable.
Pleasant evening at Yojisan with excellent and prompt service - fantastic food. Unique dishes you don't typically see at other Japanese restaurants! Would definitely recommend and come back. Loved the salmon skin salad.
Excellent Food. Freshest fish in town. Efficient service. Must stop in BH!
Fish didn’t taste fresh. It was also too hot in there they didn’t turn on the ac even when asked.
Great service and we love all the fresh food. The lunch specials and dinners specials are amazing bargains with out spending a lot. I recommend this sushi restaurant to everyone !
Food was excellent
One of the best sushi places I have been! Loved the creativity and freshness!
We had to get up and leave the service was so bad
I even wrote a letter to the manager and never heard back.
Not good for the local lunch people who gossip about restaurants.
The restaurant was a little empty but the food was amazing! The burrata tuna with truffle was so unique and delicious. Very fresh quality!
Not great service. Didn’t refill water or tea once. Forgot that I had special ordered candle w dessert
The fish is consistently good. This time we also ordered vegetable tempura. I did not like the inclusion of an onion (a half an onion, which was too big to bite easily), and would have preferred sweet potato. They included broccoli too, which was also too big a piece. The fruit afterwards was tasty and I miss the days when you would routinely be served fruit after sushi.
We told the waiter we were only there for a few pieces, but felt like he was trying to get us to order more than we wanted.
Food and service are great
Location was great, in the center of town just off Rodeo Drive. Food was generally good - I would strongly recommend the sushi and sashimi - the Toro sushi platter was excellent, and so was the yellowtail sashimi, all of which were very fresh. The fusion dishes were OK, but for Japanese food lovers, I'd stay with the traditional sushi, sashimi and rolls. Wait staff were friendly, and venue was nice. Overall a very nice dining experience, albeit a little pricey.
The food and service is always wonderful. The background music is a little loud in my opinion, but when I asked that the volume be lowered, I was!
I wouldnt even recommend this place to an enemy, nevermind a friend.
Love Yojisan ! Best sushi restaurant in Beverly Hills!
Noise level was low since there were few diners on that night. Everyone was very pleasant. Food wonderful.
We will return.
Sushi and sashimi was fresh but the cooked food was too greasy and had no flavor
Our waiter barely spoke English and was very unprofessional and inattentive
Good food. Cold ambience. Ambivalent service. Restaurant was almost empty but took forever to get our orders taken.
While we frequent other restaurants from the same group, we haven't been to Yojisan in a two years or so. For the price, location and name, the food was disappointing. The rolls used fake crab, the salmon was fishy and not fresh and had to be sent back, the snapper sashimi was tasty but hastily presented.. They seriously need to get it together.
A terrible shame... a complete disappointment. The food was not edible. The rice was cold and the raw fish was warm. The presentation left a lot to be desired. I love your other restaurant SHU. I was hoping Yojisan would have been even half as good as SHU. It was not unfortunately. Please make it better 🙏🏼
Food uninspired. Actually really weak.
Too simple for BH
Very good sashimi, indifferent tempura.
There is not much by way of decor, but then this is a modestly priced restaurant in a very expensive area.
The fish was fresh and tasty. Reasonable prices and friendly service. I look forward to going back.
Average experience, everything was just okay- nothing wow. Small plates, rolls very small compared to other sushi places.
The quality of the ingredients was bad for Japanese. e.g. edamame, agedashi tofu and Maguro.
We celebrated my adult daughter's birthday and it was a lovely dinner. We have dined here before and love the wonderful sushi and sashimi preparation and beautiful presentation. They also have an excellent saki list.
Inattentive service, We were seated in the front of the restaurant and our server rarely made it back.
