   Valet parking !! The place is lovely. The buffet food could have been hotter. Most things were lukewarm warm. Not a huge buffet but the food was nicely prepared. A separate dessert cart that had many items to choose from in small portions so it was nice to try many different things. The service was promt and friendly.

   This was our first time going to the Yellow Door Bistro but it won’t be our last. We went to to try the YYC Food Expo gourmet menu and we loved everything about the experience. Our waiter Jean was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly and really enhanced our evening. The food was sublime. Everything was amazing from the first look, smell and taste to the last crumb. The portions were very generous for a tasting menu. The restaurant was pretty much empty the whole time we were there (6:45 pm on a Thursday) which was very surprising. The restaurant is attached to the Arts Hotel so it continues the theme with very interesting decor. There is parking right there and you can get it validated by the restaurant. All in all it was a great experience which we highly recommend. Kudos to Jean for his fantastic service.

   Highest compliments to the chef at Yellow Door Bistro for the ingenuity/creativity and menu compilation (YYC EXP - food and drink exp. special menu)! I ordered a "Left-handed Kisses" Evan Williams bourbon base cocktail; and continued a foodgasm journey: in my opinion, a 'Michelin-star' worthy extravaganza... Baked Oyster (1st course), Smoked Alberta Bison Tartare (2nd course), Oxtail French Onion Pierogi (3rd course), Sun-dried Tomato Braised Lambtastic Lamb Shoulder (4th course entrée), and Pavlova - Honey Yogurt, Lemon curd, and Grapefruit sorbet (5th course dessert). Top-notch!

   Overall, I don’t feel the quality and quantity of the buffet offerings are worthy of the price tag. As others have said, the hot items are served like warm to cold. For this price, I would expect a carving station, omelette station, better selection of salads (there was only 1 offering), and larger portions. There wasn’t anything I enjoyed enough to go back for a second helping, or would encourage me to book again for the buffet. Service was attentive and friendly.

   a decent option if you’d like to try various restaurants. May be we were there for special occasion set menu and later seating, nothing truly outstanding/ spectacular. Overall good.

    Really impressed with the food selection in our prix fixe menu. The Zero proof pairings was really good too. As the night was busy there could have been additional wait staff to make the service run more smoothly. I also found the music to be a little loud making it difficult to keep conversation. Overall a great experience with a few minor hiccups. Would recommend this restaurant for a good evening.
