crispy Louisiana oysters, shredded iceberg lettuce, purple onion, bleu cheese oil
The service and especially the food was excellent. There was a great holiday atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely be going back sooner rather than later.
We always love this place- food is top notch!
The special appetizer of brrf debris and house made chips was excellent. Desserts were off the charts good...
We had a wonderful time! The waitstaff is always helpful and it’s like a family gathering with all the friends you may see, or new ones you may meet! And when you go, make sure to always read “Food for Thought” at the bottom of the daily specials menu! If you haven’t been, GO! If you are thinking of going, GO!
It was great!! We will be back for sure….
Fantastic meal in their "Exile" location. Bravo to YOCI for pulling off such good food and service, under difficult circumstances. Can't wait to get back to familiar digs soon.
Great bread pudding & drinks! Thank you to the staff & waiter’s.
We ate in the temporary location. The size of the space is good but parking wasn’t good. We had to park on Earhart and walk all of the way around the corner to get to the building. That’s the biggest complaint we had. Food was good. Service was good.
Food was not up to previous standards
Our server was Chad and he did an excellent job!
We had a party of six in a booth, which is problematic when needing to get up, but cozy and fun. Farm to table, but limited due to the farm being shut down due to COVID and lack of employees. However, the beef brisket, fish, crawfish mac n cheese and shrimp and grits were all wonderful and enjoyed by our party. Because the restaurant had to move into a different building, the space was large, like a dance hall and not great ambiance or noise level. Hopefully they'll move back soon. Still a great place for dinner, service was great.
Pre theater meal
Fantastic food and service! Everything we ordered surpassed our expectations! We cannot wait to go back!
Great food and great time with family and friends. Our waiter Jimmy was outstanding.
Been coming for 50 years. Always a classic.
Great food. The In Exile restaurant is loud and lacks the ambiance of the normal restaurant but the food and service are still top notch. Definitely worth a stop if you want a great meal.
As usual, the food and the service were excellent! This is definitely one of the best restaurants in New Orleans. I highly recommend it.
Awesome waiter, awesome food
BBQ shrimp is the best I’ve ever had. And the sticky toffee pudding dessert-OMG! Best dessert I think I’ve ever had.
Unfortunately the restaurant is under renovation and we were relocated to a different spot across the street. We do not recommend it. It’s very cafeteria style. Too loud.
Awesome food drinks and service.
Great food. Ambience weak because of remodel.
Every time I’m in town I make sure to visit. The food is exceptional. Can’t wait for you to be back in the main restaurant.
The veal was so thin and not what it used to be. The spinach was good . The onion rings were good. But mash potatoes were dry and had too much garlic in them. The gravy was ok
The food here is amazing and the service impeccable! Do not skip this gem when you are in NOLA!
Love eating there. Did not know they were in exile. Still a go to spot when in New Orleans!
Jimmy was our server and the best ever. Made our dinner experience great!
This absolutely is one of the BEST restaurants in New Orleans. The food and the service are outstanding!
Always great food and service
Consistent good food. Service always top notch and don forget that bread pudding to die for
Never had a bad meal when i visit there. Staff is very polit, and the owner greets everyone personally like he has know you for years. Would recommen it.
We've eaten here before but this was just a bad night. I think part of it is that they're relocated across the parking lot to the event space, but the food and service just were not good at all.
Great food and service.
Unfortunately the onion rings were bland. The PoBoy chicken fried steak was tasteless. Fries meh. The burger, was good. The server was very kind, and didn't charge for the PoBoys, even though, my son did eat his... he was super hungry. And he said the French bread was ok.
I think they've been displaced, as the location is different.
And doing the best that they can. Obviously right now with covid, being understaffed and just making ends meet with restaurants...I do understand. And if I lived here, I'd probably try them out again.
Again, they are definitely trying to make it work, and I wish them best of luck. Hopefully they'll get back in their old place soon.
Great food. Great experience
Inn Exile…what do you do when you’re given lemons???Hurricane Ida gave College inn their share of LEMONS and they totally made lemonade!!! They didn’t miss a beat…EVERYONE loved their meal, from Shrimp & Grits to Redfish & Risotto. THANK YOU Jimmy for another GREAT night!
Great service and delicious food
The very best seafood and comfort food in the city! Despite storm damage they are operating a quality restaurant in their banquet venue. Ask for Jimmy!
Always a pleasure to eat here. Food is fantastic and the wait staff is the best!
As per usual, Jimmy's service was amazing! Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't seem to have it together. Our brussel sprouts came to the table cold. Not warm, cold. We didn't want to send it back because we figured they would be thrown away and we will warm them up at home.
