This was our first time in New Orleans. Our server Jeremy honestly made this the best experience ever for us. Very knowledgeable of the menu and New Orleans culture. Would definitely come again. Now the food. We had the opportunity to try these items and here are our thoughts. Barbecue shrimp: amazing, shrimp cooked to perfection, shrimp rested in a flavorful dark sauce, seasoned well, no table salt/pepper or hot sauce required. Not what I thought of “bbq”. Not very sweet. More savory. That bread for dipping. Baby! The sauce and dipping bread was delicious. Needed self control not to lick the plate. 5/5 Shrimp and grits:again, shrimp cooked to protection. Slightly crispy. My daughter and I weren’t fans of the grits and dark roux. Not our fav. But fair 3.5/5 Seafood gumbo: delicious! Nice moderately thicken roux with shrimp and crab surprises in each bite. Also had a mild spicy kick in the back of your throat after each bite. That crystal hot sauce add a nice flavor without a crazy overpowering spicy experience. 5/5 Bread pudding: light, creamy, not too sweet. Lovely end to a great meal. 4.5/5

I am a first time visitor to NOLA and my favourite experience was dining at Antoine’s! I loved everything, the space, the local servers, the food was delish. I did not like that they sat us by the kitchen door, so I asked to be relocated, which they did immediately. The staff was lovely and I enjoyed speaking with each one. Our main server was very inexperienced but we liked him. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s birthday and they did not off a candle or birthday desert, which was disappointing but still, the best dining experience compared to Commanders Palace and Restaurant August

This was a perfect meal. The oysters, both raw and fried, were divine as were the sides of French fries and Brussels sprouts. The cocktails, the French 75 and the CBD, were perfect. However the food and drinks dimmed in comparison to our server. Candice was knowledgeable of the menu, astute in her service, and warm in conversation. Thank you, Lüke for a wonderful evening.

We dined at GW Fins and had the pleasure of being waited on by Daryl. He was fantastic! Very knowledgeable about all the dishes and gave great recommendations! We ended up getting all he recommended and we were not disappointed. I would highly recommend! I also want to mention that we were celebrating our anniversary and the entire staff made it very special for us throughout our entire experience!

Discover Carrollton

The Carrollton neighborhood of New Orleans, located near Canal and Bienville, is a melting pot of various nationalities serving delicious food to the public. Diners have been coming to this neighborhood since before 1929 to find great food. More recently, a move to renovate the establishments in the area began with the opening of an Italian restaurant in 1979. Soon, chefs preparing other cuisine types, including Spanish and Latin American, joined the Italian restaurant in Carrollton. After Hurricane Katrina hit the area, many fast-food chains began businesses in this neighborhood because of the number of college students moving here. These establishments were soon joined by New American bistros and iconic Cajun eateries.
