Still the best steak in town!
Overall the food was excellent. I ordered the lobster tail and had it broiled. I think because the lobster tail was so large, the chef must have overcooked it as it was pretty tough.
Food was not as expected but main complaint is on the server totally ignored our presence and we have to get help from the busboy to ask the kitchen why our ordered food was not being served .
Worst steak ever. Ppl who say that this restaurant’s steak is good has never had a real good steak. It’s just that there was A LOT of steak.. we ordered porterhouse for 2 medium rare, and they gave us well done.. the meat smelled bad too.
My sons and I are traveling on vacation in Los Angeles. I often go to the Wolfgang’s in Somerville New Jersey. We also enjoy going to this location when we are in Los Angeles. Food and service was excellent.
Terrific service but the steak was bland and tough and the creamed corn was tasteless. Really disappointing food. I’ve Bennett there many times and it has been far better.
Very good service and a nice room. The portions were plentiful but not to our taste. The beef was cooked in butter. Worth a visit to try out this old world style of cooking, but too heavy for us.
Steak house that also has good fish and salads. Great lunch menu
We came to the restaurant for a pre-theatre dinner. It is walking distance from the Wallis and they were geared to getting diners out on time. The food is fairly classic steakhouse fare with some fish. The grilled ahi was outstandingly flavoured and prepared. The servings are very generous and easy to share. The service was very professional without being overbearing.
Always a great option. Our waiter, Josh, is outstanding.
The best ribeye steak I’ve ever had. I can honestly say a lot better than Mastro’s.
The service is phenomenal!!
I would go back again!
My wife and I as well as my brother were in Los Angeles for an unveiling of our Mother's headstone and had invited two couples that are important to us for a special evening at Wolfgang's. We have eaten many time there and also in Miami where we live. We always have had good experiences at both restaurants.
This last Sunday was the Oscar's and since we went early ( 6PM) there was not a large crowd.
What we experienced was the servers first bringing a bottle of wine that was not what I asked for, although it was from the same vineyard. When I pointed out that it was incorrect, he seemed annoyed with me.
The server and his helpers proceeded to take the food order and then delivered the food for the next table to us. Again, they seemed upset when we pointed that out. The appetizers and salads were fine and prepared well. The rest of the evening was just terrible. The porterhouse steak for 3 was over done as was the fish. We told them and they did nothing. The side dishes were all over cooked and not tasting right.
This evening cost us a little under $800.00 and became the topic of discussion during the meal with everyone chiming in how terrible this place is.
Frankly, I am not going back any time soon. There was no management involvement as even with me complaining to the server, he did not go to the person who stood at the front desk watching the Oscars and not walking through the restaurant and making sure the guests were happy. We heard the people at the table next to us complaining as well.
I would think twice about going.
VERY expensive for the portion size (steaks). The 8oz is so small you pretty much need to pay the $57 for the next size up. Looks odd since such a small piece of meat is all alone on a big plate. So tiny. It cost nearly $50! I had the chicken milenese. It was plain but quite good. There was a rigatoni w/ a red sauce served with the entree- unfortunately tasteless. I was shocked that the sauce was completely a miss. That mattered since there isn’t a lot of flavor to the breaded chicken so a tasty pasta compliment would have been perfect. They tried but failed. The lump crab meat starter was very good- but not great. Sides (mashed potatoes and steamed spinach) were fine. Service was good. Martini was EXCELLENT. I think this is a good place to go for a few apps and drinks. In BH there are better steak options.
We were there
Wolfgang's does an excellent job! From the moment you enter the place and greeted you will feel welcome. There are a lot of steak restaurants in LA but this one is tops! The ambiance is perfect. The piano player is not too loud, the food comes to the table piping hot. The staff works as a well-honed team.
Excellent service, fabulous salads and sides, great wine selection. However, the ribeye steak was just so-so. It lacked tenderness and marbling you would expect in prime meat, and the grain of the protein was somewhat coarse. My medium rare steak was actually done medium, making it even drier and tougher. Not as good as COSTCO prime ribeye and definitely below Mastro, STK and Chi Spacca. When you are going to a fairly high-end steakhouse, the steak should be the star.
Wonderful steaks --- so delicious! The sides were tasty too -- but huge for two.
A very enjoyable place.
GreAt bob and juan
Having arrived for an early dinner there were only 2 other tables seated. We were attended to right away, We've been here before and each time our steaks have been cooked to perfection. Ordered 3 sides and a dessert that were equally delicious and by the time we finished the place was fully seated with people waiting at the bar.
There are a number of good Steak houses in BH but we seem always either come here or Mastros penthouse.
We'll be back to Wolfgangs next time we're in LA for sure :-)
Great food and the staff was amazing. So friendly like always. .
We made a reservation right before we dined as our original restaurant was overbooked. We were happy that there was an opening. We had a table in the back so it was as quiet as that restaurant gets, I think. Our meal was lovely, the portions were enormous, so we won’t order as much the next time. Even though it was my bday celebration and we had indicated on Opentable, it was not acknowledged. Not a huge deal, but that’s probably the first time that has ever happened.
Our server was great!! Very friendly!!
Great waiter. Great service. Seated quickly. Piano player a little loud but loved loved loved the food and the night with my family
Consistently excellent! Service always top notch.
What a steakhouse should be.
Noisy, butwhat isn't?
Josh did an amazing job taking care of us. We had to wait a while after our reservations, and waited like 45 min for our food but they made up for our waiting which I really appreciated!!! Freaking great restaurant! Highly recommend it!!!
Steak was cold and dry
Took the wife out on a nice dinner. We were greeted and seated right away. The food 🙌🏼 Huge portions . The sides are enough for two people. I would definitely return and recommend this place.
Food was nice and service was efficient. However, this is the second time we've visiting Wolfgang's to celebrate an birthday in the last 2 months and both times, after informing both the maître d' and waiter, they forgot to acknowledge the birthday guest. Maybe they don't do anything special for birthdays but it certainly would have been nice to tell me when I told him/her.
Service - great !
Ambiance- HORRIBLE !! Packed in like sardines, really really load.
The waiter was a little pushy to get our orders in. The steak was not cooked as ordered and french fries were ordered crisp but came out limp. Salads were fine and desert was fine as well. With so many steak houses around, I don't feel the food was up to the price range that they charge.
High priced but at least food and service was very good.high prices prohibit mr from going there more than twice a year. Wish they offered more dimner specials like The Palm does.
Basic and bland, this food was sub par across the board. Cocktails were fine, service was amazing-neither of which could convince me to ever step back into this spot.
Too many amazing spots in LA to have this spot get away with such boring, inappropriately cooked entrees.
Who puts one sprig of parsley on a plate as decor?
Excellant steaks and service!
Well I must say I wasn’t impressed. It’s very very loud in the restaurant. Our waiter was just blah, no energy, didn’t want to talk to us about the menu, we had to ask questions to just find out what the entree had as the menu is so basic you really don’t know how it’s cooked, what type of sauces if any, what it comes with, etc. we had to chase people down for more water. They basically wanted us in and out as quickly as possible. We finished everything including apps in an hour, it was not a “dining experience”. The alcoholic vodka drink was basically in the same glass as the water so the bus boys at one point wanted to fill the vodka drink with water... no class or pizazz on the drink front. I guess I just expect a bit more from a well known “brand chef” and a $$ restaurant.
I also must say the chicken parmigiana was HUGE!!!
Great food and good service
The best steak I’ve had in awhile. Cooked to perfection.
Too noisy. Professional service but not friendly. Huge side dishes, and we got the french fries much later than the main course, a pity to waste so much food
The food was terrible, the place was overcrowded and the overall experience was disappointing!
We had friends in from NY for NY eve. This was a great choice, very festive, lively and regular menu. We wanted to avoid “special menu” that forces you to pay premium for what the restaurant wants you to eat- Wolfgang’s offered their regular, fantastic menu. We had porterhouse for 2, lambchops and sea bass for entrees. Leftovers were NY Day dinner! Service was a little slow but understandable as restaurant was full. Festive atmosphere with streamers, piano player and at 11:30 hats and blowers passed out. We had 8p reservation and stayed until 11:45p. Great choice!!
Reservation set for 8 pm but not seated until 8:40
When seated we were not provided with menus for 10 mins. Placed drink orders - 1 non alcoholic & 1 alcoholic - took another 10 mins to be served.
Ordered Chicken Parmigiana & Salmon - food took over 40 mins to be served & the Chicken Parm was served COLD & the Salmon sat in the Broiler too long so it was dry and burnt on the ends.
Server removed my Coca-Cola glass from the table but did not refill it nor did he even ask & my date was never offered a refill on his Kentucky Mule either. I still had food on my plate so why would I not want a beverage with my meal. A span of 40 mins between drink & meal and you think we wouldn't want at least a 2nd drink?!?!?
I would give the restaurant a pass on the Reservation Time due to it being New Year's Eve but the lack of attentiveness & service is inexcusable.
