The best food on the island!
Great food, great service, great experience!
Spago was a great disappointment, the worst of the five restaurants we visited for dinners during a recent vacation in Wailea. The ambiance was terrible, with American pop music playing so loudly that it drowned out the natural sounds (birds, waves breaking) and forced the volume of conversations to an unpleasant level. The service was very busy, with people rushing around to turn tables but no one stopping by to pour wine . The wine list, by the way, is meant to impress but very badly priced. It is as if the inventory of hard-to-find bottles is replaced frequently at current retail prices rather than cellared and curated. In other words, there is no justification for the prices on the list. They were as much as 50 times what I paid for the same wines when I purchased them for my own cellar. The food was the best element of the experience but it was just good, and not as good as at other restaurants in the area.
Came to the restaurant back In November and the food and ambiance were good, but the service was less than adequate. This time the service and food were both wonderful, and of course, tables overlooking the Maui sunset are never a bad idea. Our server, Matt, also acts as one of their sommeliers. He really understands the menu and the extensive wine list. Recommend asking for him if he is available. Great overall experience!
Great food and service. Would go back again. It was a little loud but lighting and ambiance was good.
Incredible service and sunset- food was lacking flavor
Delicious all around. Service felt a bit pushy and rushed for fine dining.
Wonderful restaurant and outdoor dining experience. Our waitress was superb. She went above and beyond to secure the last piece of the special cut of steak we had wanted for our entree. And it was superb. Cocktails were wonderful. Unfortunate due to almost one hour drive back to our resort we were not able to partake in their extensive wine selections. Bread and butter were nice. Appetizers of the lobster cerviche and Bolognese pasta were very tasty. The chocolate soufflé was out of the world. It’s a little pricy but in line with the caliber of dining experience there. Would definitely return when we visit Maui again.
The only thing we didn’t absolutely love at the Four Seasons Maui was our dinner at Spago. The food is just mediocre. However, the view is spectacular and they had a very nice wine list.
We visit Spago every year in Wailea. Our table had a beautiful view and the hostess was quite friendly. The food was excellent as usual. The only disappointment was our server who would disappear for at least 30 minutes several times during the meal. Literally took us almost 3 hours. Don’t like to be rushed, but this was irritating. Other than that it was a great night.
Our waiter was wonderful!!!
It was my birthday on the island. And we had a TIME!!!! Our waiter was perfect. Honestly he was amazing. Great food. What a view. Afraid it was worth it.
This was our third visit to Spago. Amidst a pandemic we were worried the ambiance would change, and it did, and dare i say for the better not to take away from our past visits). The tables were spaced further apart so at moments it almost felt as if we had the restaurant to ourselves. We might have seen 40 or 50 whales in the distance, playing in the water and putting on a show. The food, which never disappoints, was exceptional and our server nicole was knowledgeable and suggestive enough to give us an experience with some aged Riesling, which we would have never tried but were more than satisfied with. We will be back to visit again.
Loved it! Awesome service!!!
Just incredible food and service. Definitely, going back
Our waitress was very good, but the food was lacking. The Wiener Schnitzel was dry and flavorless. There was only one small fingerling potato with it. Not worth the money.
We sat at David’s table and the service was outstanding. He suggested the appetizer of waygu beef, truffle mashed potato with an egg on top and sprinkled with Parmesan cheese and it was wonderful!
Great service and a delicious meal. Will return.
Incredibly friendly and competent waitstaff and the poke cones are to die for. Made my tequila drink extra spicy - it was perfect
Outstanding service!! We were celebrating our engagement and we’re treated so well, it really made the night spectacular. Food was amazing, we had the macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi and ceviche, amazing.
Amazing food and a great wine list. Would definitely go back.
So yummy! The Pepinos revenge was my favorite drink - sooo good!!!!
Spago is doing a great job with the challenges of COVID. Our family felt very safe and cared for. The food was, as always, amazing. The service was outstanding.
Excellent as always!!!!!!
Fantastic!!! Foos and service well done
I think you should rethink the playlist- it was loud pop music which didn't seem to fit the otherwise perfectly magical setting/offerings
Best place to go to while in Maui. Nestled inside the four seasons, this place has beautiful views and amazing staff. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy the true beauty of Maui / Wailea and be treated with stellar customer service the moment you arrive - not to mention the fresh fish caught daily. Sashimi to start and the Mahi Mahi is amazing. Will be back again very soon. Job well done!
Food was good a
Everything was wonderful! Very knowledgeable server
Beautiful views and excellent food. The service was incredible as well, the staff was very attentive. If you like fish I recommend the macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi! If you’re into sweets and like to dip the soufflé is the way to go.
We dined on Sat., 12/26 at Wolfgang Puck’s. Had a fabulous outdoor table with an incredible ocean view. Service was impeccable. The food was delectable. This dining experience is best described as gracious but relaxed. Wolfgang Puck’s is one of our favorite Maui restaurants. We had the pleasure of getting to know Alex from SF.
Unimpressed by the food. Service was excellent. For 5 people, the bill was over $500 with no alcohol.
Lovely! Got a romantic seats both facing the ocean! Menu changed a bit and still delicious!
This as the best meal we have had on Maui. Waitstaff was outstanding. Food selection and quality was excellent. Very talented chef created unique and delicious flavors.
We felt rushed the whole time we were there. We even asked the waiter to slow down but the plates just kept coming. We were disappointed and starving after our 1-hour hurry up $200+ snack.
Pros: Rack of lamb was the bomb. Poke cone was a revelation. Server was a real pro. Cons: Hard to hear and the offerings for kids was suspect. Would totally go back again.
Amazing!! Best food, great service.
Wonderful, as always! Rack of lamb was delicious!
It is over rated and the service and food are not good.
