The Whisper Restaurant and Lounge is located at the end of a cobblestone street at the world famous Grove, tucked away from the crowds and fast pace of shoppers and passersby. Join us in our speakeasy inspired dining room and bar as we serve a California eclectic menu offered by Los Angeles' own, Anthony Jacquet.

Settle into an oversized booth, or allow us to sit you on our year round heated patio for an experience unrivaled anywhere in Los Angeles. We are very proud to produce handmade craft cocktails ranging from our monthly barrel aged creations to the famous 'Alley Whisper'.

The true highlight of The Whisper Restaurant and Lounge is the incredible food created by Chef Jacquet. Local favorites include our Spinach and Roasted Mushroom Salad, Grilled Skirt Steak, Wild Alaskan Halibut, and our tender and flavorful filet skewers.

We had a great time. The entertainment was really fabulous and we loved how close we were to the performers. Food was excellent and unusual. Service was outstanding. The whole scene was a 10. But one caveat - don't wear good jewelry here. I lost a bracelet that night when I put on my coat to leave. I called the restaurant and they never called me back. I called again and they were quite rude and indifferent to my situation. Was not impressed with their empathy or helpful attitude mainly because there was none.

Service from the moment stepping in til leaving is always top notch and courteous. Our favorite place by far at Grove.

A thoughtfully constructed lunch menu with something for just about any taste. Attractively presented and delicious. Service was just the right level of attention but no hovering.

I discovered their secret happy hour menu and we decided to try it out before going to the movies at the Pacific Grove. It was incredible service, we got our food very quickly, the beers were very affordable (although the happy hour beer list is not that extensive), the wine choices were great. All the food was fantastic, especially the fries with truffle aioli. We will definitely go back for their Happy Hour. P.S. We went on a Friday night, there was live music in the outdoor seating area, which was very nice as well. Not sure if it's only Fridays that they have live music, however.

Great location in the Grove. The food was wonderful and the service good. Pretty basic good, but well made.

This review only applies to the service, as we left before we could eat. After we sat down, it took a while for our server to come to our table, so when she did we order our drinks and dinner. 25 minutes went by and we still did have our drinks (a Sprite and a hot tea). With our server nowhere in sight we made the decision to cut our loses and we left. The ambience is great, but the slow service seems to be a common complaint in this restaurant. Hopefully the management will get the message and address the problem.

Restaurant was closed. Worst part is that open table confirmed my reservation. What a let down. It was our my wedding anniversary! :(
