   We were sat immediately for our reservation, but took 35 mins to get our drinks. We were not served a any food until 8pm for our 6:45 reservation. Food was average at best. I would go back for the amazing sunset view, but just order a drink from the bar and leave.

   Wonderful view and service. Food is very good, but a larger selection would make it better. The prices are what you would expect from a restaurant in Waikiki. Go on a Friday night to enjoy the fireworks. Would definitely go again. Ask for Aki to be your server and you won't regret it.

    Located on 6th floor of Trump International hotel. Seemed to be lite on staff. Limited menu both for food and wine (wine list fit on one page). Food was very good, portions small so need to go with trifecta of apps mains and sides for each, and it will add up. Sushi also available. View of tall buildings nearby is nice. Roy’s is right around the corner, might choose that next time.

    Very good service. Excellent food quality. While not inexpensive it was great value for the money. Lobster was perfect and ahi was nicely done.

    This is a Christmas Dinner Review... My wife and I flew into Oahu for the week of Christmas, we had planned dinner reservations each night with our last night being Christmas Dinner. We had eaten at this restaurant before and wanted it to be our final meal and Christmas dinner while in Hawaii.. I called 2 weeks in advance to ensure the menu would be served they said they were going to have a prefix menu as well as the regular menu available (This was confirmed over the phone 2 weeks in advance). We arrived Sunday to learn that the regular menu was not being offered and our only choice was the prefix menu... This completely ruined our Christmas day! we reserved this restaurant for our last meal because there are items on the regular menu that we were looking forward to. The Prefix menu was not bad, the Chef did a wonderful job of putting this together. the Presentation and flavors were all that we would come to expect from this restaurant. But we left disappointed and we felt in part our trip had been negatively impacted by this experience. I'm not sure where the failure in communication broke down as I called 2 weeks in advance to confirm the regular menu would be available but this was a huge disappointment and may impact us visiting this restaurant in the future as we visit Oahu 4-5 times a year.

    Prior to arriving to the restaurant we had encountered vehicle trouble… flat tire. I called the restaurant to let them know that we would be arriving late. Tomoko was very reassuring and said that it was ok and our table will be available whenever we arrive. Our reservations were for 6:15. We arrived by Uber around 6:30ish. The valet/concierge of the Trump Hotel was attentive and personally guided us to the restaurant. Tomoko greeted us with a smile, took time to talk to us as she sat us in a wonderful seating area. We had privacy and a wonderful view. The restaurant is clean and chic. Live music for entertainment and our server whose name escapes me was attentive to all our needs. We enjoyed every morsel of the prix fixe menu… we were able to taste each others food. Everything was top notch, and exquisitely delicious. We will definitely be back… Thank you

    Live music was nice, but a bit loud. Server "Daniel" was wonderful. Milk Bread, Omikase Sushi, Panko Crusted Ahi, and Macadamia Nut Cake were delicious. Will definitely dine there in the future.

    First time dining at Wai'Olu for a business lunch. The setting was perfect, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly and attentive. Will definitely return. Free Valet parking the hotel as well!

    We went here to see the Waikiki Friday fireworks over dinner. Excellent location, the views are outstanding, for the sunset and the fireworks. Service was really good-friendly, efficient. It also happened to be our anniversary, and they brought us a complimentary dessert, a really nice touch.

    Our server, Daniel was amazing. We ordered the scallops for an appetizer (there were only two) and the Seafood tower ($155) which the menu said was enough for 2-3 people as an entree. It was not. One at best, two if you’re having as a starter. They only had a macadamia crusted cake for desert (which was burnt and uninteresting). The view was very beautiful, actually one of the nicest. It was the view and our server that made the experience. The food was ok but I expect more from a restaurant of this caliber. It was very clear they are short staffed both in the dining room and kitchen. We waited 90 minutes for our entree. Would not recommend now, but perhaps later when they are more organized.

    This is a pricey restaurant with a priceless view and incredible service. I love the menu selections and everything we had was absolutely five-star. I had the sake flight which allowed me to try three different sakes. I can’t say enough about this place -if you can afford it, don’t miss it. Daniel was a perfect server- very kind, helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I heartily recommend the sushi and sashimi. *****

    One of the most outstanding service I have ever had, the waitress was very attentive as well as the staff. Drinks were amazingly good, Scallops are one of the best small plates, Oysters were fresh and Sushi was so good they’ve made a new standard for us. But I want to thank our Waitress for being so kind, attentive and outstanding! Definitely coming back.

    Restaurant is very quiet and calm. Enjoyed all of the selections our server provided, including cocktails. He also took his time to describe all the menu items and offered suggestions based on our preferences. I wish I remembered his name because he was great!
