Food wasn't great, decent at best. We made a reservation months in advance and noted it was for my parents' wedding anniversary, but there was no mention or acknowledgement by staff. Service was slow but our server was very friendly. Overall not impressed given the price point, will not be returning.
We had a great lunch at the vue on 30a. The ocean was spectacular to look at and the service and food were great!
Date night with husband
The food was wonderful and the service even better! Our server, Rosemary from New York was absolutely wonderful. We love love love being able to sit outside and see the beach and the sunset.
We had a beautiful view at the Vue. Great food and excellent service.
Awesome. Service and food were fabulous.
The chef here is so awesome, and I was thrilled that for only the second time in the last year he made his fantastic avocado crème brullèe (I know, I know - sounds weird but is it totally awesome!). Of course the view is stellar, but the food and service are always great. Still one of my favorite restaurants, and they honestly never disappoint.
We come here annually for our anniversary when we come to this area to visit. It’s always perfect!!
Excellent as usual. Great food, cheerful service, superb ambiance. One of our "Go T restaurants.
Order came out wrong. Dessert came out wrong. No need to go back when I can spend this money many other places
Catch of the day was delicious and prepared grilled for me instead of blackened like menu offered. Vegetable medley was delicious but risotto needs a little more flavor and creaminess.
The food was very good and our server was very good also.
Food and service was excellent. The only complaint I have is the noise level. The bar area needs something to absorb the noise.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal! Our service was Trip, and he was awesome, knowledgeable about the menu and attentive. Being able to eat beach side was such a treat! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the service.
Food was excellent, but we didn't get asked of we wanted desert. Just cleared the plates and brought the check.
Reservation was for 6:15PM to watch the sunset that they are known for. It took more than 20 minutes for us to actually get seated - missing most of the sunset.
Service was extremely slow all around. Our meal took almost 3 hours from start to finish with all tables around us getting their food before us and finishing before we even had our food. Several tables sat down 30 minutes after us and still finished before we had our main entrees.
The calamari appetizer was lackluster and just “Ok”.
The mahi-mahi catch of the day was good, though the flavors and tones in the curry sauce were muted and not standout.
The breaded chicken breast was not crispy. It was mushy…
The tuna was cooked the way I requested it, but they definitely have been told to sway customers away from modifying or customizing food. I asked for it to be cooked longer and was asked if I would want to see a menu and pick something else instead 3 times before she said they could cook it “medium” instead of “rare” for me.
The seafood platter was good he best if the entrees with no complaints other than it taking an hour and a half for everything.
After 3 hours, we were asked if we wanted dessert. Yes - but no time now for it.
Then… the bill was wrong with the mahi-mahi being listed but no price next to it. We thought they were trying to do the right thing and give us a discount on our meal because of the wait. No. They blamed it on computer error (so how many other meals were given to customers for free before now) and continued to charge us full price.
I hope it does get better in the future, however we will not be back to find out.
Chris was a great server and the food was excellent!
This dinner was our first impression of Vue, and we are locals. I would have liked to give it the 5 stars it's view of the Gulf and delightful patio deserve, but there were a few negatives. Vue is having the same issues as many local restaurants obtaining and retaining staff, and it showed. Our server, a very nice gentleman who explained he'd only been on the job for a couple of weeks, was very slow to return to the table even though we saw him standing around on the rear of the deck while our glasses were empty. The food, while immaculately presented and delicious to eat (and they split our shared salad nicely without being asked to), came to the table with some items a little cold and others perfect on the same plate, including the deep fried pears that were the star of the salad, but had cooled by the time the plates got to us. Hubby's pork chop was very tasty, but cooked a bit above the medium he requested and so a bit tough (or perhaps carryover cooked because the service was so slow). My Mahi was spot on, but the cous cous on the plate were cold. I then learned that one has to request bread service to receive it, after asking the people at the next table about the bread they had been served (and they said it was too good to miss, oh well). Now, these negatives may seem a little quibbly, but with prices well over $30 per plate, and the fine dining vibe, I expected a more polished experience. None of these flaws would keep me from returning to Vue or recommending it to others; but I hope they are able to get service, from all angles, back on track. In this kind of fine dining environment, I would have expected a manager to drop by the table at some point to see how it was going, but no. There were several nice by the glass wines, reasonably priced. We look forward to trying them again!
The view is amazing. We enjoyed the Caesar salad, crab cakes and filet mignonette. My husband had a chocolate martini and he thought it was delicious. Our waitress Sandy was attentive and fun! We’ll be back.
We made a reservation here while we were on our honeymoon and we had an incredible time. From the moment we were sat next to the beautiful wall of windows that face the beach to the moment we left, nothing was short of extraordinary. Christian was a the perfect server and made sure we had the best time. We will certainly be back!
View at the Vue on 30A is exceptional, Imee's service was outstanding, but the food was off for the night which was disappointing with so many prior great food experiences at the Vue. My wife's filet was off putting to be one of most expensive entrées and it was not that tender. My lab enjoyed his 2/3rds though.. My grouper was great, perfectly cooked as was the accompanying risotto but the sauce was bland almost tasteless. Nonetheless I will be back, even Ruth and Aaron struck out on occasion.
We celebrated our anniversary. Great meal and atmosphere.
We had a very friendly and good server, Taylor. The calamari was one of the best we ever had. There were four of us and we all enjoyed our entrees. My husband had the Tomahawk pork chops and he said they were excellent. The fresh fish of the day was amazing. Our only disappointment came down to dessert. I had the banana creme brûlée and it was not set, still somewhat warm and lacked the crunchy top. The cheesecake was very dense and lack luster.
One of us ordered the filet, which have had before. She requested medium. The steak came to the table well done and the texture was tough and had sinew of sorts throughout. It was inedible and brought to their attention. When the bill arrived it was still charged? In the end, after I brought it to the attention of management they relented and and removed it!
Wonderful view sitting outside on patio food and service was great.
It was just amazing! My favorite place & never miss eating here at least once or twice while in town. Taylor was a great server. Could not have a better evening & the sunset was spectacular! Thank you to everyone for a great meal!
Wonderful atmosphere, food, and service.
Always great there!
Waiter was great and very attentive. A little off from the Seaside-Rosemary Beach scene so not too crowded or loud. All the food was great. They weren’t wrong- the views here of sunset were AMAZING.
Our dinners were excellent, the service was outstanding- however, the noise level was unbearable. Ruined our special dinner.
Great experience we had. Christian was awesome and provided “best in class” service. He recommended a few options which we went with.
Food was great and enjoyed every bite. Didn’t have to wait long but was relaxing environment.
We ate outside which was great. It’s more romantic to be out side vs inside. Inside seem like to be in a country club more than a fine dinning experience.
Dress code was nice casual.
Tuna was amazing. Steak was mediocre. Drinks were overpriced. Waiter was very good. Not a bad overall experience.
The food at the Vue is consistently great - super menu. And the staff are excellent!
The food was good but definitely not the best we had in Santa Rosa Beach. The fish was fine but way over seasoned on the daily fish so much so you could no longer taste the grouper. Appetizers were fine - calamari had a very sweet sauce to it and was soggy not crisp. The crab cakes were very good and the seafood pasta was also very good.
We are at Blue Mabel the evening before and the food and presentation of the dishes was far superior.
You are definitely paying for the view at this restaurant.
Service was fine.
The food was excellent. The server was very nice and recommended what dishes were good. Would definitely return.
Food was great. Service was great. Old school feel.
Beautiful Gulf views, good food, friendly service. It is part of Santa Rosa Beach Golf Club and they do a good job, For a nice dinner, just the two of you, or dinner with friends. Go between 5 and 6pm and they have BOGO items if that is your desire. Later if you want the nightlife vibe.
Great service, great atmosphere, perfect night☺️
In short, we were disappointed with our experience at Vue on 30A. These prices do not match the atmosphere or food at all. My meal was cold. There was a wedding the night we were there and they seated us right next to the sliding glass door. The restaurant is small, so you could hear absolutely everything happening with the wedding (DJ, toasts, laser lights) . We asked to be moved to a different table, which they accommodated, but it was still so loud you might as well have been at the wedding.
We had an amazing time! Tripp was a great server, the view is SPECTACULAR & the food was exceptional. We will absolutely return.
