Always an amazing place, great music and food.
We highly recommend this gem for a lovely dining place. The live piano music was icing on the cake of a wonderful evening of excellent food and great service. Our only question is; Why do we not go there more often????
Probably our 25th trip to Vista and it never fails to impress - the food is excellent, the location is beautiful, great service and Micky Poage on the piano is just completely unique. It wouldn't feel the same without him - the Les Mis' and Phantom medleys are truly amazing!!!!!
Excellent food and service
Great evening! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with open arms by the host at the podium. I wish I had remember his name because he was definitely a “Hospitalitarian”! We requested a high top near the window and he was quick to accommodate. He was also very knowledgeable on his wine list and really helped me pick a great wine for me and my guests (regulars who suggested the restaurant) that none of us had ever had. Our waiter was the bartender and he was equally friendly and helpful with menu descriptions and recommendations that were spot on. As an avid fisherman he was very knowledgeable on my questions regarding the trout and other offerings. All of our selections were great. There was a little confusion with the salads ordered, but they rectified the situation and the night was a big hit. The ambience leant to the evening as well as the snow fell outside and Mickey the pianist tickled the ivories ever so beautifully at just the right volume so as not to interrupt our conversations as we “caught up”. It also was not as expensive as other options offering this quality. I will definitely be back next year, maybe even 2 times during our next ski vacation!
Scallops and short ribs were excellent. Comfortable chairs, easy to talk with our friends because it wasn't too noisy even though the restaurant was full. We loved our Valentine’s evening!
Always enjoy listening to Mickey on the piano. A bit of an issue with honoring discount if order placed before 6:15.
Good time. GH. GH.
We especially enjoyed the piano player he is very talented and makes you feel welcome
Was greeted by a nice valet. Walking in, there was a warm inviting fire. Piano was playing in adjacent room. Not too loud, just right. Our table was next to large windows that overlook a snow covered patio and field. Very pretty. The chairs were large and cushy. Our waitress seemed nice, she took our drink orders and came in a timely manner with drinks. When it came time to order, she seemed to rush through the process. My wife wanted to order a glass of wine with dinner, but the waitress never came back. We had to wave her down from across the room. Our dinner came and it was delicious. I had an Elk Chop, my wife had trout. The chop was awesome, with a very tasty sauce. My wife’s trout was good, not exceptional, like my chop. The funny things is, not one person asked if everything was ok. It was, had no complaints, but no one asked. After dinner, a long time after, the waitress came and asked if we wanted desert. At that point, we did not. On the way out, the hostess handed our coats back, but again, never asked if our dinner was ok. But guess what, outside, our valet, brushed all the snow off our car AND HE ASKED, “HOW WAS YOUR DINNER?” He was the only one who asked. We frequent an Italian place in Avon. There, the waitress would ask about 5 minutes after serving, “How are your first bites?” And the owner always visits the table and asks about our dinner. The Vista is an expensive high class restaurant. I expect the service to the same.
We always enjoy Vista. We specifically arrived at 5:45 so are order would go in time for the 6:15 20%off entrees special. Our server was aware of our plan. One of our guests ordered the $50+ evening special meat entree. When the bill arrived that entree wasn’t discounted. According to our server that is the policy. We were surprised and disappointed although in the scheme of life it was only $12. She explained that she didn’t tell us because we did not ask the price of the entree. Not a great answer. In the future Vista should explain the pricing policy prior as well as the price of the special entrees. Especially when they are minimally $10.00 more than every other entree and in fact end up being $20.00 more when all is said and done. We aren’t allergic to spending money and had two pricy bottles of wine. I just feel it is a policy the restaurant should clarify.
The Vista is single handily one of the best overall dining experiences in the Beaver Creek / Vail valley. The attention to detail is second to none, great wait staff and amazing food and wine list. Thanks team Vista, you will always be our first choice!
Absolutely the best restaurant in the valley!!!!!!
Great food, wonderful service, Mickey Poage at the piano, great views! Birthdays and anniversaries are special here as they give you a dessert on a plate with Happy bday or anniv written in chocolate script.
Excellent food, tasty drinks, lovely restaurant, great piano player!
Great meal and overall experience once again!
Love, love Mickey, the pianist!! Makes the ambiance so amazing—
Lovely atmosphere and nice place to catch up with old friends.
We absolutely loved this little secret spot! An upscale but not overpriced nor snooty atmosphere. Just great, quality food and service! Also great wines
Great duck confit and tuna.
Wonderful meal with great service by Kelly. Special birthday dinner for my wife and they took excellent care of us.
The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional.
Excellent food! The Trout Picatta was especially excellent!
Great food and setting.
Waited 1 hr for entrees
Never going back
Delicious and lovely!!
One of our favorite restaurants in the Valley! Excellent food and service. We enjoy listening to Mickey play the piano while dining. Makes it all pretty magical.
Great food and service! The piano was a lovely touch.
Will be back again.
Delicious farm fresh homemade pot pies by the fireplace!
Awesome 8 top by fire! Food was great, I had the short ribs and some dessert
Food and entertainment is the best down valley option.
We went to see Micky Poage on the piano and were not disappointed.
Six of us sat outside at Visita at the Country Club of the Rockies on this late September day. The heaters kept us warm and the view was spectacular! Half of us had the chicken pot pie and the other half the trout. Both were excellent and generous portions. The fried green tomatoes were good but nearly out of season. The beet and burrata salad very good. Wonderful place to go with a very good wine list.
Excellent as always
Best old fashions. All the food and service is great. Sit on the patio of available.
Wonderful evening. The food was excellent, as was the service and views from the patio. Loved listening to the piano inside, while having an after-dinner drink. Not a fan of all the TVs, however. Seems to be a contradiction to the otherwise calm, relaxing, warm and welcoming setting.
We always celebrate our anniversary at Vista. We’re never disappointed. Great food, great service, beautiful ambiance! Who could ask for more!
Thank you Vista!🌸
Going d meal with an excellent Caesar salad. Food was good but not the best trout ever. Of course I’ll be back.
Food always good and love to listen to Mickey on the piano.
