Love Vista. Is like an old friend. It’s warm and inviting. The menu can be challenging or comforting depending on your mood. The service is always great. Nice to hear live music too.
Sommelier was attentive and very helpful. More to the point tried to find the right price point and did not push to up sell. A man to be respected.
In general a good restaurant and, all things considered, among the best in the Vail Beaver creek region for decent food and fair value. We were pleased.
Higher energy than expected, enjoyed the experience.
i was disappointed this time for dinner
we always go every year. we enjoy the view but this time
the service was abrupt ,
we got stuck in the back overlooking the kitchen.
food was fine but it is always on our list every year.
next year i don’t think we will be back
cocktails are good
They could not find our reservation. Said they had problems with Open Table reservations before. Fortunately, they were able to seat us just behind Mickey Poage whose magic on the piano is the main reason we come to Vista. About halfway thru dinner, the receptionist stopped by the inform us that they found our reservation and it was for JULY 20, 2018!
We had a lovely evening at Vista. Our server did a fine job of taking care of us as well as large tables of regulars. We shared the beet salad to start. Our server correctly suggested that it was large enough to share. We both had the lamb shank with the chef’s suggested vegetable pairings. Reasonable prices for the Malbec. There were a number of the friends of the piano player who shared their talents.
The lobster dinner was great! My husband had the Salmon, excellent.
Excellent food and service
We had a great time at Vista. Our waitress, Sydney, was friendly and engaging.
The menu was varied and there were many choices - both "treats" and healthy. The price was reasonable for this type of place.
Tables are far enough apart so you are not bumping chairs or hearing other conversations.
Food came out timely and presented very well.
There are not too many restaurants like this in the resort area. They either are trying too hard to please and include very complicated and luxury ingredients at very high prices. OR, they are super casual and sloppy, but not necessarily inexpensive.
Our ski trips are primarily in the Beaver Creek resort and we are very familiar with the lay of the land and availability. It's been too long since we came back to this restaurant and we are so glad we did!
Our food and cocktails were outstanding. Our waitress was very busy at the start of our dinner service, so initially she seemed short and distracted. She either ignored us or didn’t hear our questions as she rushed around our table for drink orders. But as she had more time, she became more personable and did a much better job. We very much enjoyed our Vista dinner and will return. The noise level marked as moderate due to the piano player, but he was very good. It’s just better to carry a conversation if you request a table across the dining room from the piano.
David the Chef is amazing!!! The food was fabulous!!!
Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere, great crowd, perfect piano music
Great restaurant for a nice family meal. The kids menu was good as well.
Duck confit it a must!!! Great ambiance, good energy amoung the staff and tasty food to top it all off. Great place for a valentines date!
Vista is hard to find but worth the effort. Service was great and food pricing is very good for the Vail Valley. Wine list has good selections. Dinner was excellent.
We are locals and have had dinner here several times a year. Vista has the best ambiance in the Valley. Mickey's piano music coupled with tables that are not crammed together gives the best dining experience. It's worth the drive from anywhere. Staff is friendly and helpful.
Great food. Great service. Great piano player.
Vista is always a nice place for nice dining, summer or winter. The food is consistently good, and the atmosphere is pleasant, with the piano player during dinner.
My husband and another couple went here for dinner while on vacation! The minute we walked in we were greeted by a lovely hostess who took our coats. We sat at the bar for a wine before dinner and the bartender couldn’t have been more friendly. We then were sat next to a roaring fireplace which was so nice. Our waitress was fabulous. Total attention to detail. Food was fabulous! We will go back next time we are in that area. Highly recommend!
Well priced, tasty options and very nice ambiance. Worth the 15 min easy drive from Vail.
Fantastic food, good drinks and terrific atmosphere. Great for a quick bite at the bar or a nice, long dinner while enjoying Micky on the piano playing everyones favorites. Great food choices for everyone. You can't go wrong!!
I would definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was great service was good lots of many choices. We had a great time and did not spend a fortune
The Vista is truly one of the best experiences in the entire Vail Valley. The food is absolutely fantastic, the ambiance is just right and the piano music is such a refreshing change from the usual music feeds that we can all get on our phones anymore. Hopefully the Vista will remain an established institution for dining in Arrowhead.
Not impressed . The service was slow and the food was not prepared correctly. I had salmon that was over cooked and my sons steak was chewy and fatty. Fairly expensive restaurant but not worth it.
Delightful evening! We have been going to Vista for a few years and have enjoyed every lunch or dinner! Meals presented in an appetizing manner. Food is delicious! Servers are all friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended! Best views at Arrowhead.
Very nice dinner - wonderful ambiance - superb service - loved the piano player!
My wife and I ate at Vista for Christmas dinner. We have dined here 3 times before, and always enjoyed the great food and great service. The dining room is very comfortable, and relatively quiet, although there is usually live piano music and singing by a long time local.
I had the chicken pot pie, which is very good and quite large. It was tasty, but could have had a thicker sauce. My wife tried the braised lamb shank and loved it. It was served with a large wedge of goat cheese polenta and Brussel sprouts (a bit under cooked for her liking). Dessert was a sampler of the homemade donuts and an apple tatin with gelato...both delicious. All in all, a great meal with great service.
Vista is also excellent for lunch, and the outdoor dining patio is a hit. It’s on a golf course, so a great location for summer patio dining, Very large sandwiches (I recall having a nice club sandwich this past summer). This place is worth the somewhat out of the way location. In my mind, much better than many of the over-hyped restaurants in Vail and Beaver Creek.
We had a wonderful dinner at Vista! Our meals were delicious and the staff was very pleasant. We will definitely go there more often.
Vista was recommended by our friends - we hadnt been in a while, thinking in error that the menu was mostly steak house. We were pleasantly surprised by a menu long on seafood and the ability to craft a meal to your liking. Service was very good - really the only miscue was that the food servers didnt know who had ordered what - as well as knowledgeable and professional. One particularly complex order was handled perfectly. Quality of the seafood was excellent, portions well-sized, prepared just right. We will definitely be back soon.
We always visit when in town. Carrie, our server, was attentive and helpful. The piano music is always a bonus. The menu changes seasonally- but we've never been disappointed.
We arrived at 5:30 for an early dinner and got a 25% discount on the entrees(nice touch). The food was very tasty. Several of us had the braised short-ribs which were presented well and flavored well. Service was good and the valet parking came in handy since it was raining that evening. Very nice view across the valley. Indoor and outdoor seating is available.
The food was great. The service was great. We ate outside so the atmosphere was excellent
Vista was a very special place with phenomenal staff and food. The whole experience was fantastic. Please visit Vista!
Excellent service by SEAN and at the bar from the young man from NH! Go Red Sox!
Always a favorite. Food good and love to hear Mickey play the piano!! A valley tradition for us.
Outstanding food, service and ambiance. I would definitely recommended to snyone visiting Colorado.
Our second visit in our 3 week stay in the area, need I say more. Our server, Mickey, was great, attentive and very engaging. See you next summer.
The Vista is the restaurant st The Country Club of the Rockies in Avon Colorado( near Beaver Creek, Edwards and Vail) . It is open to the public. Reservations are highly recommended. Sitting inside or outside on the large terrace, you will have an unsurpassed view of the mountains all around. The menu is varied with many seasonal items. We were there twice in August and had delicious entrees of fresh local trout and Colorado Lamb. Excellent service was evident both times. I highly recommend Vista for a wonderful dining experience.
Vista in summer is THE place to lunch in Vail Valley. Locals like me love it. Beautiful scenery and lovely flowers. Quiet, but not boring. Food delicious and reasonably priced. I hear dinner server under the new chef is great as well.
Love the place. Food and service always consistent. Food always delicious. The chef is always willing to make accommodations for allergies etc. Love Mickey at the piano. We go frequently.
