Vinaigrette is a chic and green Santa Fe bistro that raises the "salad bar" with bold and delicious entrée salads. Featuring innovative flavor combinations and the option to add savory protein accompaniments like diver scallops, lemon-herb chicken or grilled hanger steak, these tantalizingly hearty yet healthy creations allow for guiltless and delicious eating at the same time. Much of the restaurant’s organic produce is grown on owner Erin Wade's 10-acre Nambe farm, Los Portales, harvested within hours of arriving at Vinaigrette's kitchen. When not grown at the farm, the restaurant strives to source local and organic ingredients. As one local publication put it "Eating well never tasted so good."

We had a lovely dinner at Vinaigrette. It was a Friday night date night two weeks in a row at this restaurant. We both had our favorite salads; the beet goes on and the salacho. We also each had a glass of the Malbec to accompany our salads. The only issue was it seemed like they needed to really rinse the greens better; we tasted crunchy something like dirt. Overall, the ambiance was quiet.

The two salads were generous and filling. The cup of soup was delicious. The service was a bit peremptory considering the house was mostly empty. Of course, you never know why--we probably did not look like heavy tippers. The fact I had carefully made a reservation did not seem to be accounted for, but still no problem being seated--and it was kept warm!

The food was excellent. The service was good. But the seating on the picnic benches was not what I reserved for this wine tasting event. While there was some effort to make this right, the end result was disappointing. So if you have seating issues, beware. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe and we don't want to take it off our list of go to places . The Albuquerque location does not have the same seating issues. Does Austin? Why not fix Santa Fe???

I absolutely love and love even more salads and I went back a 2nd night to have a duck confit salad that I had seen on the menu. All the salads are creative with suggestions for meat if you wish to add it to a salad and will add any other ingredients for a small charge. Service good but kind of mixed but salads were awesome and my friend agreed and she is a little picky. Had everything from savory to sweet and the salad with duck confit was great.

It is a little hard to find so a "dry run" during daylight is recommended or just look for the dry cleaners sign and turn in there and go up to the restaurant. Limited parking unless you park in the dry cleaners lot in the evening.

Highly recommend for prices which ran around $15/salad.

Also have a Hibiscus tea which is decaf for those of use that like caffeine but not in the evening hours.

The only ways Vinaigrette could improve regards the lighting. It was so dim inside at dinnertime that I needed to use a cell phone to read the menu.

Loved everything about the meal, though. Super fresh, creative combinations, and one of the best pieces of carrot cake I've ever tasted.

I’ve eaten at The Vinaigrette in ABQ many times so was excited to stop here on my way to Ojo Caliente. Sadly, our server (Jack) was in a grumpy, bad mood. Grunted more than spoke. One of our party asked if he was having a bad day and he didn’t respond. His way of being ruined the mood. Good food as always but not so good that’s it worth putting up with a bad attitude.

Loved the salad, wine, and carrot cake! Our ages ranged from 40 to 85 and we all enjoyed our meals. Would definitely recommend.

Nice people, but 3 lonely scallops for $8 as a side? Rather institutional feeling.
