So disappointed!!! I ordered a chopped Salad. For $15 the lettuce should not have had brown edges on every piece! I would think a restaurant if this caliber would take pride in the appearance of their food. Then I ordered the surf and turf. The steak was room temp at best! For $45 for my meal, I expected a lot more precision! The service was not exceptional. We couldn’t find our waiter for about ten minutes. Then when we got our check back with our credit card, we got our check, along with someone else’s that was twice the amount of ours. NOT GOOD!!!!
Can't say enough about our wonderful server, Harrison!! And the wine, with Tommy doing the selecting, was outstanding
We went here a month ago and back again after Sunday church with friends. Very nice. We had the same waiter both times. He is ok.......not very attentive.......I believe there may be a language barrier.........we still will come back again.
My 2nd time to this restaurant in 1week... food was amazing, service was amazing, and everytime we had the friendliest waitress/ waiter....I even discovered they have hookahs, so this is also a great place to come and relax and smoke hookah, while ppl watching on 5th Ave.... Erick, I believe he's the manager, was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable and helpful with our hookah... he came to check on us numerous times to ensure we were having the best possible experience... he was not sore on the eyes either ladies😉 I will DEFINITELY be back in the very near future, as I think I have finally found my "gem"!
An early dinner after attending the theater across the street couldn’t have been better. The three of us were delighted with our choices for dinner and look forward to our next theater and dinner outing.
Pasta was sticky and cold. Server was annoyed that we were not drinking wine or drinks.
The Friedcalamari was crisp and fresh. We shared a pasta as an appetizer… The little pockets filled with cheese. It was excellent. After that the entire meal except for the waiter was downhill. The veal milanase should have been pounded thin and then fried but it was thick and dry. They are “famous“ seafood dish was served without the requisite sauce which came later. On the plate the lobster was overcooked and tough. The Seabass was adequate and better one the sauce came. The shrimps were fine with the sauce the column I was barely OK and we never ate the salmon because it looked dry and it was just More than two people could eat after an appetizer. The other diner on the table had Pappardel With some kind of meat sauce but he left half of it over so that tells me he didn’t like it… Because he had room for dessert Which was uneventful
I haven't been to Vergina in several years as previous visits were not great. But before a show at the Sugden we decided to try it. Not a great experience. First we were seated and almost immediately realized we were under a long metal AC vent that was dripping. After switching chairs -- we were OK but it continued to drip on the other seat -- the manager even came by, noticed it himself and said "sorry" but if they were sorry why did they seat us there when clearly they knew it was dripping. It took us about 12 to 15 minutes to order a drink and another 15 minutes to get them, so it was about a half hour before we had our cocktails. The server kept coming by and apologizing -- first for being too busy to take our order then saying the bar was busy and the cocktails weren't ready yet. My "DRY rye manhattan straight up with a twist" came with sweet vermouth in it and a cherry -- clearly the server didn't care as he surely noticed the cherry and should have noticed the dark color -- or perhaps he's even the one who put the cherry. I didn't specify rye and the drink was $17.93 -- OK, but a little steep for not being a call. My companion's "just a glass of cabernet" was $15. Hard to imagine the cheapest house wine they have by the glass is $15 or did he "upsell us" without mentioning it? Foodwise, I had eaten octopus appetizers four of the previous 7 nights -- in Atlanta and Tampa while traveling home. This was the least exciting of the five -- slightly gummy or slimy actually but yet it seemed done, just a rather odd sauce or "watery breading"? And of the five it was actually the most expensive and the skimpiest of the five -- yes it know "it's Naples". My companion wanted and ordered just a plain spaghetti with meatballs. The meatballs were lighter than air --and the spaghetti seemed precooked but not reheated, not just al dente -- but hardened and stiff. Much more but sadly I'm running out of allowed words. Let me just say we won't be back.
Our waiter, Harrison was fantastic! Very attentive. We will be back
This restaurant is an exceptional Value. I’m never disappointed. Ever.
If you are in Naples during the off season Vergina has an awesome early dining special. Food is delicious and the prices are an outstanding value. Attentive servers as well. Overall experience on each visit has been awesome.
Lovely start to a wonderful evening! Met family for dinner before taking a short walk to the theater. Will definitely be back....live music was a bit loud for early dining though. Our waiter was PERFECT. Talked us through the menu and was very knowledgeable.
I have loved coming to this place for a number of year if not only for the food but to smile at the spelling of the place ( I know it’s pronounced different )
This time we went and wow how have they changed things, the bar is a good pull and the music, which no one else dose especially so late . However the food has changed . You have to decide if you want casual or fine dining . I’m a foody and go to many places . To me now you have changed go down the lines of casual . Good idea with breakfast , try doing afternoon teas.
I was disappointed for the first time in 6 years with the fine dining but my husband loved the casual .
How is it that my open table reservation wasn’t eligible for points? And why wasn’t I informed prior or during dining? Too disappointing to return. I’ll dine at one of the other better restaurants on the same street.
This was our second visit. Great tasting food, service and location on 5th Avenue. We will go back.
Food was delicious but it was not hot when it came to the table. Not sure why, but it seems like it was waiting for the server and not served when ready. This has been an on going issue with Vergina's but will not keep me from eating there in the future. I just think the managers need to know this.
Pasta was too Alderney, veal was tough
We enjoyed our food as usual. The Service was excellent. The food was served at perfect temperature.
Everything was great except it took way too long to get our entrees.
I was excited to go to dinner since I had a very good experience at lunch time. However, there were few servers at night. We had to wait long for attention from our server who was busy with many other tables. Food was good but given other choices in the area, I will not consider going back for dinner. I will, however, go there for lunch at the bar where I found service is good and lunch menu and specials are very good.
Vergina is a lovely restaurant, the food is very good, we had the calamari which was cooked to perfection. We also had the yellowfin tuna everything was great. Our server was Harri
Breakfast for the Naples 4th of July Parade!! With a baby and this heat we were very thankful they opened their doors on this holiday. Really made the experience special, and the food was delicious.
Love everything on there menu. They also have the best summer dining specials in Naples.
Excellent breakfast on 5th Ave. in Naples. Everything was well prepared and sitting outside was great.
Came after Sunday church. Breakfast was delicious......we will come back again for sure.
We had a wonderful meal here for a girls'' get together.
Mauro makes it happen....he makes the menu options come to life...
Wait staff is lacking, food mediocre - warmed up under lamp. Drink not good. We came for early bird special - would not return. Too many others to choose from on same early dining price bracket.
The food was very good. The service not so. I believe the waiter was taking care of more than he could handle. It took over 20 minutes to get our check.
The service was fantastic and the food very good (not the mashed potatoes) . My only complaint was that my husband and I decided to share a $14.00 salad and our waiter asked if we would like to have the chef split it on two plates for a slight up charge. We did not ask how much the upcharge would be. It turned out the cost to split was an additional $6.00. A bit high. Otherwise no complaints.
The ambience was good as were the. bread, mussles, wine , and waitor. However we were never offered off the menu speciality's of the day. The main course of New York strip was tastless and watery, the potato chips would have been better served as garlic mashed, baked or cut into small pieces and sauteed. The broccoli rab was under cooked ,cold, and flavored not to my liking. A better choice would have been hot, and sauteed in olive oil and garlic. the mussels although very good was served for two with only one fork. Lastly having only one bathroom for both sexes that was not only inconvenient was dirty and had nothing to dry ones hands. Over all judging from that the restaurant was underwhelming. But I suppose a different meal might prove something better
repeat visit. met all expectations
The early dinner is well worth the price. Everything is half off the menu. And I mean everything! Appetizers, drinks, desserts too.
A great deal on 5th.
Very much enjoyed the food and prices. Our server Mauro was great and has a huge heart and personality too. Will go back to be part of the 5th Avenue scene.
Very good food.Staff very attenative. One of our all-time favorites!
Restaurant for tourists. Food was mediocre (everything) and the noise level unbearable due to party bar for old people and live music in the back.
My mom and I went for the Naples restaurant week and it was amazing! The food was great, everything was great! Usually at restaurant week they give smaller portions at a lot of restaurant but the portions were very large we had leftovers on every course! The food was delicious and there were many great choices even on the limited restaurant week menu! 10/10 would recommend
We chose Vergina for it's great food & entertainment. We celebrated our Anniversary and we had fun outside seating on 5th Ave in Old Twn Naples. Our server was Heicke, from Leipzig. She was excellent.
We visited during SWFL restaurant week. The fiocchi was very good. The tiramisu was among the best we've ever had even though it was served in a sundae glass. Our waiter - Mauro - was outstanding.
