We had a wonderful evening. They do a great job making you feel COVID safe
The atmosphere at the Veranda is always relaxing as well as beautiful.
Our food is always presented well and delicious.
Perfect for any occasion.
Server was rude/unprofessional.
Steak was very over-cooked
We felt very safe. The live music was wonderful!!!!! The food and drinks were great! We dine here often. We'll be back.
The most perfect spot for a delightful gathering of friends and family on the Verandah patio. The views are heavenly, the ambience peaceful, and the wait staff are kind and perfectly attentive. Food for most of us was very good, but our hamburger well done was burnt and inedible in parts.
I highly recommend the Rancho Bernardo Inn!
We had a fantastic experience. It was so nice to be able to eat out. The food and service were perfect. The ambience of the fireplace added to a truly terrific experience.
It was good. Food and drinks were good, but it was a bit chilly and it took us several asks to get the heater moved over to use. Otherwise, quite nice.
My experience on a Saturday at 5:30 pm 2 people. Waited 20 minutes for a server to come to my table to order drinks. Didn’t see my drinks for another 15 min then ordered food. 30 mins food came and another 20 min for a drink refill. I hope they can hire more staff soon.
We arrived on time for a 5:15 reservation. We were seated and not approached for our order for 20-25 mins. We placed our order and by 5:50 not even water was given let alone the drinks we ordered. We opted to leave seeing how horrible and lacking the service was. Sad this was our first outing since the pandemic and the entire experience was a waste of time.
It's a beautiful spot with a lovely view. Food & service are always great and they do a really good job of spreading out the tables, etc. to make it feel "safe" during Covid times.
Food was delicious, service was great and background music was very enjoyable without being too loud!
Back to superb! Rebecca on 2/19 and Ryan on 2/18 were great! Everything was spectacular. From the food, to the live music, to the service, to the heat lamps. Thank you for taking into account and common sense seating of almost full parties to promote social distancing in the waiting area despite the non-sensical regulations. We will continue to return time and time again with this kind of experience.
The venue is tops - great view looking out over the 18th hole of the Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course. We have eaten here some 20 or 30 times over the years, and it's the view that keeps us coming back. The food is just above average - it was tasty, but not outstanding. We have found that the service varies from excellent to adequate overall. This visit was just average; when you ask for boxes for leftovers, it's time for the server to also bring the check rather than for us to have to get his attention for the check.
Had to send my soup back because it was cold. My wife and I both had to send our steaks back as well because they were both cold. When you’re spending $200 for dinner it should be right. Also, no one offered to compensate us in anyway due to the dinner issues.
First time visiting San Diego & loved Valentine’s dinner here.
Amazing customer service in beautiful surroundings.
Valentines Day lunch was lovely, albeit a bit chilly, the service was excellent as was the food. We love this spot it’s our favorite since moving to Rancho Bernardo.
Took a bit to have our first greeting but after that our server was timely and informative. The Tuna seared salad had an odd seasoning paired with the salad. The chicken sandwich and fries were pretty good but if it was the food I was rating It would not sway me pro or con. The grounds are amazing and the garden of produce they use for farm to table. The ambiance is lovely, would have been nice to have music if live music was not available. The food was slow in delivery but the drinks were delicious. Ambiance and being out of house among the natural beauty was the best part.
The service was great and the environment was beautiful. It was a little cold when we went from brunch with our baby, but the staff was prompt to offer to move a heater closer before we had to ask. The food was good. My husband had the eggs Benedict which was delicious. I had the cast iron pancake which was alright. It needed a side of something savory to compliment it. We both had red sangrias which were strong and not too sweet, perfect in my opinion. Everything was a little pricey but not unreasonable. Overall, this is a very relaxing place that is family friendly.
Excellent customer service and the ambiance is amazing! I had reservations and was seated immediately. Even though it was a cold evening they had heaters at every table so it made it comfortable. They followed all social distancing guideline and safety protocols. I give this place 5 stars.
Excellent place to dine. Casual but yet the service is first class. It's a resort so the prices are a little more but the view of the golf course and hills surrounding is fantastic. Well worth the price.
Great time and Kevin doing the music was outstanding!
Very pleasant day - a little chilly but heaters did a great job of making outdoor dining comfortable. Staff was very professional and took all Covid precautions. Food was very good especially the Brussels sprout appetizer. It was nice to be able to celebrate a birthday out with my family (group of 8).
Perfect setting at the Veranda! We are there for breakfast and dinner on 4+ occasions and we always enjoy it there! Live music on the weekend, beautiful views, if cold they have heaters, and rarely occurs, yet always correct mistakes with a smile!
Our entire dining experience was wonderful. Our waitress, Tatiana, was friendly and attentive. John Sullivan, made us feel like VIPs! You cannot beat the ambiance anywhere along the inland corridor: view of the golf course, outdoor fireplace and live music Thursday through Sunday. A true hidden treasure in the suburbs!
Amanda provided great service!
We enjoyed the perfect afternoon. The weather was warm with a slight breeze.
Drew, our waiter was very attentive, and the food was wonderful. It was the perfect
family gathering. I would recommend the Veranda for any meal, the atmosphere is
Nice outdoor restaurant with a view of the RB Inn golf course.
Good food, great service, everyone distanced enough.
Love the Veranda patio. The service is always excellent. Unfortunately nothing on the menu for Vegans. I had the veggie pasta. No GF pasta and unfortunately the pesto was creamy. It was good but a big compromise for me. Everyone else in my party had a custom Cobb salad and enjoyed it.
Great to be back at Veranda outdoor dining.....Great food and service...ALWAYS!!
Lunch after church
The food is nasty. No flavor at all. The only think nice is the atmosphere
The food was quite good, and the service generally good. But we had a significant issue with the service, and another minor one: minor - the restaurant knew it was my birthday dinner, and that we are Resort Club members, and we had an advance reservation, but gave us 'no' consideration at all in where we were seated, being given a table as far as possible from the music, fireplace etc - the receptionist couldn't care less when my wife pointed that out; yet, the couple right after us got a table exactly in the area we had asked about.
Significant: the waiter knew it was my birthday because my wife mentioned it when he came to take our order; after we finished our meals, he asked me if I wanted one of two desserts, creme brûlée or lava cake. Assuming that - as happens regularly in most every restaurant - the restaurant would use that as an opportunity to provide one celebrating their birthday with a dessert and candle, I ordered the lava cake. Surprisingly, when it was brought to the table, also brought was a very tiny "cupcake" with a candle on top. The waiter lit the candle, and I blew it out. More surprisingly, when we got the bill, there was a charge of $12 for the lava cake - though the "cupcake" was free. The waiter should have mentioned the "cupcake" when asking if I wanted a dessert - we did not need/want that much food, but I ordered the lava cake 'solely' since I thought it was a recognition of my birthday by the Inn. In effect, this was deceit and deception - a bad practice.
My friends and I celebrated my sisters birthday there. The ambiance is beautiful and our waitress was very sweet and helpful. My only complaint would be about their prices but other than that I loved our time there. They also have live music from 5-8:30pm I believe so that was nice
I was so excited to get back to outdoor dining here and usually come about once a week. I don't know if it's because with all the restrictions they're not staffing adequately, but the service was quite poor. I had to ask other servers multiple times to send our server to our table because we hadn't been checked on for quite a while. Also, IMO, do away with having to wait for your entire party before being seated. I know it's all about the restrictions right now, but many restaurants aren't following it because it just doesn't make sense and they have stayed open even though they don't follow this rule. It creates a situation where there is a crowd of people near the entrance and so not socially distanced anyways. Also, I have seen it's not consistently enforced here where there is one person at a table of 10 and then the rest of the party joins 10-15 minutes later. So at least be consistent or consider not enforcing.
The brussels sprouts were fantastic. The veggie burger was just OK. Fries great. As always, the service is very good and the ambience is superlative.
First outing since outdoor dining opened up, again, and this was just perfect. The food was delicious and the view right on the golf course was great. Just what we needed
Very very slow service. Our reservation was early, so don't see why we had to wait so long to get our food.
