Fresh and modern, Veranda's new menu features California contemporary cuisine. Each dish is carefully constructed by a team of chefs using locally-sourced ingredients and freshly grown herbs from our own garden.

Veranda is the perfect place to meet and enjoy a snack, meal or libation. Dine under the stars or gather around the fire with a cocktail or local craft beer. You're sure to have an experience to savor.

Arrived 5 minutes before reservation. Was seated within 5 minutes. Hostess just tossed down our napkin wrapped utensils and never said anything. Waited 10 minutes, we turned our heater on ourselves. Waited another 3 minutes and flagged down two wait people. The female didn't;t say anything the man said I didn't know you were here. We stated we have been waiting approximately 15 minutes. The male waiter said; "you only been here 5 minutes." Both my husband and I made eye contact before that. Appetizer was very good but the entrees were not. Almost walked out, saw two other tables seated, received drinks and had their heaters on.

We have been coming to Rancho Bernardo restaurant for over 30 years and they never disappoint. The outdoor ambiance is exceptional.

Lovely afternoon with friends on the patio. All the safety protocols in place made me comfortable being there during the pandemic. Looking forward to the stay at home order being lifted in So. Cal so we can go back again!

Even in light of the Coronavirus, our dinner experience was great. There were enough heaters to go around since they were limited to outdoor dining. The service and the food was great.

This is the first time I disliked what I ordered at Veranda. It was hand cut pasta, which was actually very good, but the creamy sauce it was in was not good at all. It tasted like someone put a tablespoon of mint toothpaste in the sauce. I could hardly eat it.... Mint needs to be used very carefully.

Drew was our 1st server and is fairly new. You'd never know because he was just fabulous. Super attentive and friendly.

Emily was our 2nd server and always is such a delight and provides great service!

Am sad that outdoor dining will close down soon. This place is such a gem!

The atmosphere was lovely but after being seated for 15 mins I had to go to the hostess to have waiter service as no one showed up

Then food was not even warm. Pretty sad experience for the 65.00 thanksgiving dinner

The thanksgiving dinner was underwhelming for the price.
Thanksgiving dinner at Ruth Chris price and Boston Market quality.
Went thanksgiving and the price was 65 a person. The dinner was a salad, small plate with 3 pieces of turkey, stuffing, 2 carrots, and mashed potatoes. They also has an 11 dollar surcharge. Quality as the same but less food than the 8.99 Boston market dinner.

I took my 7 year old son to the Veranda for our Thanksgiving meal. The food was great for me, the adult. The meal for my son could have been more kid friendly. For $40 for his plate it was frustrating that he didn’t like the arugula salad or truffle stuffing.

Everything as excellent. My wife and brother-in-law enjoyed the Flatbread and Brussels Sprouts as appetizers. The Vegetarian Pasta and steak were also excellent. Steak cooked to perfection. Most impressed that the the Food and Beverage manager was there working and waiting on tables on a Saturday night. My main pet peeve with Restaurants is when they deliver what you have ordered they never remember what you ordered so when the food is delivered it is like Russian Roulette. RB Inn passed the test

We enjoy going to the Veranda and sitting outside. Drew, our waiter, was wonderful! The cost for a filet dinner is too expensive for what you get. The filet was small and only came with potatoes. For $49.00, the dinner should include a salad at least. Our cocktails were very good.

The Veranda at the Rancho Bernardo Inn May not be Heaven but it is close enough for me. We love the view of the golf course and the bright warmth of the outdoor fireplace. Louis, server is tops and intuitively attentive to his diners! Just let him know if you want to linger a while or in a rush to make a tee time. Even the ladies room is classy. So you really can’t complain about the cost of this experience. If you visit at breakfast or happy hour , plan $25+per person.

Three of us dining for happy hour. Wine specials were very good. Appetizers we had were roast peppers, and guacamole and chips, both of which were good. Ordered mussels for dinner. Nice portion and very tasty. They came in a broth. Broth was excellent, but needed a spoon and bread would have been nice to dip. The waiter said he would find some bread, but forgot about it. Me and other friend had skirt steak. It was chewy with a lot of tendons. Wouldn’t order that again. Service was very slow. Don’t appreciate surcharges that get added here.
