Hard to really gauge food when eating outside, you end up rushing to beat the cold. I ordered a pizza but felt the toppings to be a bit sparse which was a little disappointing. The pizza's are big! But again I would have rather have seen the cost towards having more toppings on the pizza rather than dough quantity. Service was great, staff were attentive and friendly. Major plus was having outdoor heaters which added to the atmosphere and encouraged us to stay and order another drink.
Fantastic restaurant! Super friendly and attentive staff who acknowledged my severe nut allergy from the word go and ensured everything was catered for the table so I could eat safely.
Food was wonderful - the pizzas were excellent!
I will definitely go back.
Friendly, great food, service and ambience. Highly recommended.
Superbe cadre
Le personnel est au petits soins.
C est un peu onéreux mais le rapport qualité/ prix y est.
We know UNO well. The Christmas menu was rather boring. My starter was very goof but very small. It was Celeriac salad. My husband had Terri e and then fish...sardines. Service was excellent and friendly. But the food this time was not the best.
Good service and portion size. Service was friendly but the overall atmosphere was only fine.
The staff were do lovely and very attentive. The ambience was easy. However apart from my start a broccoli mousse which was delicious the rest was very poor.
Such a shame
Good place for cost effective business lunch. Nice table and well taken care off.
First time at UNo with my date. Great service great food to highly recommended
What a lovely place and I hadn’t even realised it was there. I have been meeting friends for a number of years in Pimlico and it’s the first time we’ve been to UNO, but it won’t be the last. The staff were really friendly and didn’t rush us at all.
We love coming to UNO. The staff is always so welcoming and they really show that they appreciate us as customers every time we come back. It is probably the reason why we come back over and over again! We have pretty boisterous toddlers, but the staff always make us feel welcome and accommodate the children so well! We really enjoy the pizza there. The service is fast and staff attentive. Thank you to all at UNO. We will continue to come back.
We frequently visit this for breakfast or coffee but not usually for dinner. The calamari with fried zucchini was amazing, one of the best thing I've eaten for ages. We shared it as a starter but I could have eaten it as a main with a salad. Lovely wine too. Attentive staff.
Uno is a long established Italian restaurant in Pimlico. The web site talks about fine dining, but most visitors would think of it as a pizza/pasta place.
We had two capricciosa pizzas, a side salad to share and a bottle of sparkling mineral water.
The pizzas were yeasty and crusty around the edges, but not too dry. They had generous portions of pepperami.
The side salad was small and poor value at £9.00. Luckily we only ordered one.
Verdict: somewhere to eat if you are visiting, but no advance on pizza chain restaurants near by.
UNo is a must if you enjoy the true Italian experience. The chef's food is cooked and presented to perfection. If you're a risotto fan you won't be disappointed with his spring vegetable risotto. The garlic bread is, personally, the best ever. The wine menu is extensive and the Italian wines are perfectly priced for a restaurant. Everyone who worked there was extremely professional from the happy and warm welcome to the goodbye. Very friendly, relaxed but attentive and discreet service - perfect for date night! The customers could be hit and miss with the area as its conveniently in the hotel area of Victoria/Pimlico. If you're visiting London UNo should be on your visit list and if you're local - why haven't you been yet?! Casual or smart see you soon UNo.
Gem of a place in the Victoria Station/Pimlico area. This is or second time in the UK and loved it so much the first time we had to go back. We had the calamari/zucchini/eggplant appetizer-simply one of the best. Pasta/risottos and the pizza’s are excellent.
We visited Uno as a family of 13 people for Mothers day. Apart from the lovely staff we really didn't think much about the food, the choice was very limited and the portions small for the prices we paid. I would not recommend this for a large party of people as it would be very costly!
For an Italian restaurant the food experience was poor. Pasta not available as a starter (one choice) and limited meat options. No chicken and no veal.
Most delicious salad Uno which hit every taste bud. Loved the delightful waiter. Everything delicious .
We had a delightful evening at UNO as well as delicious pasta we were impressed by the friendly and professional service. We were made to feel really welcome and having recently moved to the area we will be back
New Years eve, everything went wrong, beer warm, pizza cold
Great restaurant, the best pizza in London.
Thanks!
The service was a bit slow but that was understandable taking into consideration we were sitting outside in a quite hidden part of the restaurant
The food was amazing, really recommend their UNO Calzone
Although location, seating, decor and food were excellent. The service (with the exception of the restaurant host) was very bad. The waitresses seemed to be new, were very slow, forgetful and a bit clumsy. Our food throughout the night was served inconsistently. One of us had a coffee and dessert for 15 mins before the other. Thank goodness, the host did spot when we were waiting long for service and apologised.
I will return because the food was delicious and I hope the service is better.
Went there for breakfast. Good selection of traditional breakfast to fluffy French toast with fresh berries. Tasted very good
Generally a nice place to eat. Pasta dishes tasty although not overgenerous with protein. But then the prices were reasonable.
We like the comfy and spacious seating. The lamb shank was good, but the pork dish is slightly dry. Think their pasta dishes are more reliable. Still, great local restaurant.
I ate here with some overseas business colleagues who wanted to eat near Victoria Station on a Sunday evening. I was delighted with the outcome. This is a "local" Italian restaurant but with an excellent standard of service, food and atmosphere. I shall be very happy to return.
This is a lovely little Italian which we’ll definitely be going back to. The food was excellent so no complaints there. The service however.... They really need some training. They forgot our main course and then tried to take our plates away while still chewing... The manager seemed to realise this, so there’s hope, and maybe we just got them on a bad day. Either way will be going back, as it was lovely food.
Perfectly good food but shockingly poor service. The food at Uno was fine ...in fact on food alone it would worth considering a return visit. But, oh, the service! Just terrible: wrong dishes brought, having to ask multiple times for many things (3 or 4 times for a new bottle of water - every time we wanted one). Nothing happened without us first asking and then chasing/reminding the staff. Completely careless and uncaring. It was interesting to watch new customers arrive at the restaurant - they would walk in and be completely ignored by passing waiters. After a while they would assume Uno to be a "seat yourself" restaurant, so would look for an empty table and start to sit down - only then would staff rush over to tell then they could not have that table for one reason or another. This happened not once but several times whilst we were there. When we complained about the service the manager seemed concerned and gave us free coffees, but by then the damage had been done.
Very nice local restaurant, very nicely presented food
Had a meal here before visiting the theatre for Wicked. Food was lovely. Great value and a 5 minute walk from the theatre. Would definitely eat here again.
Had a really enjoyable dinner catching up with friend. The starter’s presentation was excellent, and we both love the desserts. Both tiramisu and cheesecake are very good. The staff are the best asset, everyone we came across was helpful and cheerful. We’d definitely be back when we’re in the area!
Great food and great atmosphere. Definitely a must try when you are in South Westminster.
Service was excellent and food was authentic and tasty. Homemade pasta and wonderful appetizers. Highly recommend!
UNO is our local restaurant and we are so lucky to have it nearby. We have had special dates there but also family celebrations and fun evenings with friends. The staff are all lovely, friendly and very helpful and the food is delicious, simple authentic Italian - I cannot recommend it highly enough!
Post-Marathon family/friends dinner.
We had a simply fantastic evening dining here, the outdoor seating was really well laid out with effective heaters as the evening went on, the views across the street were great with little in the way of traffic in the area.
The food was excellent and truly good value, the service was completely amazing, especially as we were the only diners outside we could have easily been forgotten about, however, the staff were top class and the timings, food and wine were perfect all night.
Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough and it made for a fantastic end to our day!
I read about this restaurant in an article which mentioned that it was a BYOB restaurant. It is NOT BYOB!! So don't find out the hard way like me! But their menu has a good variety and the food is amazing! Plus we had their after dinner drinks which were interesting!
Muy buena atención y comida con porciones justas. Muy rica.
A treat in the heart of Pimlico. A very nice Italian restaurant with great service and delicious food. Much recommended
Friendly service; good pasta. Good value
