   Our first non glowing review of Umi. We love this restaurant but service was not good last night. Multiple dropped plates, we were given other guests dishes 3x, long wait times for drinks and all the food items. Hopefully this was a one off.

   The only complaint I have is that I was a few minutes early and my friend was no there yet. I had to stand outside in the cold because you had no room for anyone waiting. Yes I was offered the bar but I don’t drink. No one should have to stand in the cold

    We originally were going to cancel our reservation, but I am glad that we didn’t. We had an awesome time, the food was great, and the drinks were even better! Chefs kiss! Will Be back the next time I am in Atlanta

    When we got there, they were not able to seat us for 40 minutes because the party before us had not gotten up from their table. But our server brought us several complimentary appetizers and made us feel well taken care of. Service was wonderful and food was delicious. Will be back!

    I was so disappointed that despite me calling about running late, they gave away our reserved table that I had reserved weeks in advance. And it was my birthday. They were "kind" enough to let us sit at the table by the door. Thank you Umi.

    This was my first time visiting UMI and I enjoyed it very much. We had reservations on Saturday at 8:45p and we didn’t get seated for another hour. We ended up sitting at the bar until our reservation was ready. When we were finally seated, the waiter came up to me and basically told me which appetizers he was going to put in us. I was okay with what he suggested but I asked him to add a 3rd but he we never received the 3 rd appetizer. All of the food was really good. We ordered the tuna crispy rice, the Jalapeño whitetail, avocado salad, the rock tempura shrimp, the duck breast, and a couple of orders of sushi rolls. Everything was so good. We had the chocolate lava cake for dessert which was okay. Overall we had a good experience and will return again.

    I’ve been coming to UMI for all occasions since 2018 and every experience is a little different but always the best experience one could receive. Compliments to the staff, management, and extra compliments to the chefs in the kitchen. The ambiance of UMI should be desired by all restaurant owners everywhere. I have not one bad thing to say ever. I definitely recommend. 10/10!

    I’ve been here several times with my friends. I always had Omakase. But this time, I wanted to try different menu. So I ordered Odoro box, mixed roll, scallops, hutonaki.. but the Odoro taste like a Mackerel. Scallops tastes bitter. And the sushi 🍣 were tooo thin.. I won’t never go back..

    We had a wonderful time at Umi to celebrate a birthday. It was a beautiful restaurant with wonderful staff. The tables were a little too close and it was slightly too loud to have a quiet private conversation. We loved everything we tried but especially the Yellowtail Jalapeno, Avocado Salad, and Lobster Toban-Taki! For drinks, we loved the Moscow Mule (very gingery) and the Brooklyn Cocktail. At the end of the meal, they were able to get a table at Himitsu for another cocktail. Overall, we had a wonderful evening! Thank you, Umi!
