Tusca - Hyatt Regency Orange County
Great service!! Fast service and great food.
I like the kids can also eat fee and a discount rate.
Very slow service and food with no taste. The s is just a place for the hotel guests to get something to eat rather than a destination for a nice meal.
Nothing spectacular. Just happen to be close. Food is average. Service was not good this visit.
Friendly, efficient service; good food and comfortable elegance.
We love Tusca. The food is always prepared well. The staff is attentive without being intrusive.
We like the ethereal decor, and it is never too loud.
This restaurant was "ok" in terms of the food. The service was exceptional, but I guess being at the Hyatt I existed better.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent. Food fresh and staff keen to provide a good service. Only negative is environment was noisy due to large open area as was in lobby area.
Where's my points?
Loved the convenience of eating in the hotel the night before we took the kids to Disneyland. The restaurant had a very family friendly menu (kids 6 and under are free) and the server was very nice. The food was decent and reasonably priced for a hotel. I'd absolutely dine there again if I was staying overnight.
Reasonably priced compared to most hotel restaurants. The first impression was that it was a casual open to lobby restaurant and did not expect much. The quality of the food at both breakfast and dinner meals were excellent as well as the friendliness of the staff. Would definitely go back.
Surprisingly delicious. We had a business dinner and especially loved the calamari appetizer.
Our server Oscar was very polite and professional. Great recommendations
I ordered a lasagna and a chocolate cake I am a asian woman who has a small stomach and if you also have same one you could share meals with friends or family Other wise meals are so fuge
Menu has totally changed from what is shown on opentable. We were looking forward to a nice dinner after Disneyland, but basically had a menu similar to Denny's. For a Hyatt Regency they should have 2 separate restaurants for the budget concerned and the high end or just a high end one.
Can't go wrong for brunch. Dinner was NOT good. Eggplant parmigiana was rubbery. Sent it back. Burger had strange flavored. Kids chicken tenders seemed to be breaded in the same breadi get as fish sticks. Nice, courteous service & atmosphere, though!
The restaurant was simply a grouping of everyday tables in the lobby of a nice hotel. People were going in and out of the hotel. They could see us and we could see them. The food was quite ordinary. I ended up just getting a Southwest Chicken Salad and my associate tried a buffet dinner that was uninspired. Open Table made this place seem a lot more special than it was.
Best kept secret of Orange County. We loved the butterfish, wine list, and the kids menu. The service was top notch.
Great service and large portions...from great bread with four different spreads, large thin crust pizzas, and wonderful pasta to nice birthday desserts.
our group was in town for a large trade show called Automation Technology Expo(ATX). With so many visitors in town, reservations for a party of 8 were hard to come by so we decided to try Tosca and it did not disappoint. Our server was excellent and the food was much better than we expected based on the restaurant being located inside the Hyatt Hotel. The menu was diverse with enough choices to satisfy the varying tastes of the group. Calimari appetizer and the assorted meat and cheese appetizer platter were both excellent. the dinners were all served together and all were prepared nicely and everyone was very pleased with their meals. Prices were reasonable for the area. We will definitely hit this restaurant again next year when we are back for the same Trade Fair
The food was delicious and it was excellent service. I highly recommend.
Carlos was the best server ever! Helpful, honest, prompt, thoughtful, and friendly!
Restaurant was empty and understaffed...food was good but the overall experience was not going to make us return. Probably best just to eat there if you stay at the hotel.
We gave it 5 stars. Food was very good. Great selection!
Tosca, located inside the Hyatt hotel, offers friendly service and delicious food. Every time we go to Disneyland and stay at the Hyatt, we always have dinner at Tosca.
We walked over from the nearby Sheraton and enjoyed well prepared meals served by attentive and thoughtful wait staff. The airy and light-filled lobby was a wonderful backdrop to a fine meal.
I usually try to avoid hotel restaurants (except breakfast), TusCA was a great exception.
Good selection, very fresh product.
The Salmon was cooked to the perfect temperature and the accompaniments were well planned and paired well.
Not bad for a Hotel location. A bit noisy.
Delicious and very seasonal. Every course was great. I would recommend making the brussel sprouts a little less al dente and the beef a little less rare for those who choose beef. I had the ham but my dad had the beef.
Other than that, magnificent!
We ate here one night as part of our trip to Disneyland. The food was better than expected for a hotel restaurant. Kids under 12 eat free off the kid's menu with an adult entree, which is a big plus. We had to change our plans 3 times, and the restaurant was able to accommodate.
The restaurant was very empty for dinner; about 4 tables total for 7pm dinner on a Thursday night. This seemed worrisome at first, but the food is good.
Our only complaint is the service is very slow, especially given the small crowd. Either they aim for a very relaxed schedule (which doesn't make sense given we had 4 kids) or they just aren't efficient. It took 5+ minutes to find out what the seasonal ice cream was and another 5 minutes to actually get the desserts we ordered, which was 2 balls of ice cream.
My kids and husband eat gluten free, and there were so many options. The menu was very diverse, and everyone was happy. Braised shortribs are some of the best I've had (the mashed potatoes weren't great, but you can sub them). Everything else was delicious. Free kids meals with purchased of adult meals. Used with restaurant.com voucher, and it was a superb deal! We will definitely be going back! The service was great too!
Tusca restaurant is located in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency hotel. The lobby is impressive because of its soaring atrium; the restaurant is located in the atrium. The quality of the food and service is what you would expect at an upscale hotel. The price was reasonable. Tusca is not a destination fine dining restaurant but if one seeks a reasonable meal at a reasonable price, then Tusca can be recommended. Complimentary valet parking is available at the entrance to the hotel.
I hoped this would be a lovely restaurant, but they were not prepared for the convention which was in town in the moment, which is totally bonkers because it is when they had a half empty restaurant and it took over an hour and a half to get soup and an order of chicken and a pizza. The waiter was kind...but we sat waiting for him and had to ask the maitre d to find him for us so we could order. It was not relaxing....because it took too long for everything.
We dined at Tusca on 12/29/2013 and we were VERY DISAPPOINTING. The food tasted terrible. The service was not so good either. I choose this place as we were staying at the hotel and the reviews i read on this place were 4 stars. I don't know who would rate this place 4 stars as it is only a one star or below restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant.
We dined at Tusca with two kids because of the kids eat free menu, and we were very disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. Three pasta dishes we ordered were around $20 a dish, and they came out cold and dry. The roast chicken was fatty and tasted re-heated. The kids meals were very bland that even the kids didn't want to eat them. Our server forgot to bring out the beers we had ordered. Overall we will not be going back and would not recommend this restaurant.
We had dinner here because we stayed in a hotel close by. The service, quality of the food and ambience was just okay. Nothing special.
I dine at Tusca quite often for mainly breakfast and/or dinner. This location is inside the Hyatt hotel in Garden Grove. It is open and airy and the food is always cooked to my liking.
In addition to the great food, the service is definitely world class. Our server was beyond attentive and everyone we came into contact with was incredibly friendly, caring, and willing to accommodate us in anyway possible. It is just an overall wonderful experience when we dine at Tusca, which is why we continue to return.
Went for girls night out dinner, party of 4. Awesome experience! Service was outstanding, server was attentive, made great recommendations, brought all the extras we asked for, kept our table clear and our glassed full. Perfectly paced meal!
Had calamari and white bean soup for appetizers, both were yummy. For dinner, we had the braised short ribs, the pan seared scallops, the clam linguine and the frutti de mare pasta. All prepared as described in the menu, all delicious. They know how to make the sauces for all these dishes and seasoned them well (you know that's what can really make or break a dish!). For dessert, had the caramel apple tart, tiramisu, and pistachio cake. All quite different, all quite good. Recommended!
My husband, sister and I dined at TusCA on November 2, 2013, since we were staying at the Hyatt. Made reservations for 6pm (right when they open for dinner), in order to catch a 8PM concert at the Honda Center. Our server Taylor was made aware that we were catching a 8pm concert, and we wanted to finish our meal before 7PM. She went out of her way to make sure that our food was delivered in a timely fashion, and when the soup I ordered didn't come out in time due to a kitchen ingredient glitch, and both our server and the TusCA manager both went out of their way to make sure that we were satisfied with everything even though we completed the meal before 7pm. All the food that we ordered were delicious - We will return!
Tusca should advertise their breakfast buffet on their website. I went to Tusca with my boyfriend for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised to find out they offered a buffet breakfast that included coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice. Everything was great. They even offered a made to order omelet bar.
I don't expect a lot from a hotel restaurant. This one is located right next to the lobby, so that is why a low score on ambience, although it does look nice enough. The food was very good. I had risotto with scallops and prawns and the portion was large! Great bread with a sampling of olive oil, roasted garlic, and white bean puree for spreads. Excellent service! Overall I was surprised how good the food was and how much I enjoyed my experience.
