I cannot say enough how classy this place is. Everything from the service to the food is spectacular. We were celebrating my husband's birthday. They poured complimentary sparkling wine as soon as we were seated. (nice touch) They also at the end of our meal brought out a nice little desert. The whole meal was wonderful. I especially liked the presentation of the dover sole. One of the servers brought it by the table to show us the fish before taking it and filleting it. Everything we had was delicious, and the wine list is impressive.
Date night out for an Anniversary Celebration.
Truffle frites were delicious as well as the filet and crawfish wedge salad!
We especially enjoyed the creme brûlée on the house!
Excellent Restaurant, with a nice ambience. Service was very friendly and had good recommendations. Plates were served at the same time with a very professional demeanor. Food was great.
Lovely dinner in the tent with my 91 year old mother....delicious food and very friendly and trained staff..
Good food, service and atmosphere, but very pricey.
Our waiter Ricardo was perfect, checking on us just often enough to let us talk but still be sure we had everything we needed.
Our family celebrated a milestone Birthday at Truffles. In honor of the birthday, the team baked a special surprise of warm Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies.
Request Philippe!!! He is extremely knowledgeable and will ensure a first in class dining experience! Thank you, Truffles team!
David is a fantastic server! Always takes great care of us!
Really enjoy going tgere
Outstanding food and service. Steak was perfect and twice baked even better.
The food, wine, and service were all amazing. The chef took care to offer the best quality and delicious experience. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly.
The 6 course tasting with wine pairings was fantastic. Our server was amazing and made our anniversary dinner amazing.
Service and food are always first class. The wine list is among the best anywhere.
We keep coming back.
This is a great restaurant. My experience last night was marred by a rude and inattentive server.
Normally, their service and attention to detail is superb, however last night left a geart deal to be desired.
The food was amazing and the outside dining was really nice. It was just a warm evening but that did not ruin the meal.
Incredible evening celebrating life! Steaks were amazing, the wine was exquisite, and the service was phenomenal!
New favorite restaurant in St Louis. Service was phenomenal and food was absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend this restaurant! We did the outdoor seating, which was perfect for a summer evening. Steak, wedge salad and beet salad were all delicious, and had unique ingredients that other similar dishes don’t have (like crawfish on the wedge). We will be going back soon!
Excellent meal and exceptional service as always. Truffles is a favorite!
Had an amazing veal chop and the service was great. This restaurant is very consistent and one of the best in St. Louis.
This is a classic neighborhood staple! I have never had a bad dish or meal there and it is wonderful for a nice business lunch or an evening with my family sitting outdoors.
We were extremely upset that the waitstaff did not wear masks. When asked about vaccinations and masks, a man was snippy and defensive. He should not be serving people with that attitude and the staff should not be putting my life and health, or anyone else's in danger. We requested the they not come to the table but leave the food on a serving table for us to pick up and would not let them clear the table until we left. They continued to serve the other table in the tent while not wearing masks. A restaurant that is so cavalier about protecting patron's health does not deserve ours or anyone else's business.
In addition, the menu is very expensive and the food is no better than much more reasonably priced places.
Out dinner outside under the tent was a 10/10
Service was impeccable and the food was outstanding
We will without a doubt be back on our next celebration
Excellent food and priced that way. Empty on a Monday night
Good food. Good service. Nice evening. We will visit Truffles again.
Excellent good and service.
It was excellent. Service was excellent but it took a long time to get our food. Probably not enough people in the kitchen which is not surprising given the pandemic. Everything was delicious
Truffles is a fantastic restaurant and never disappoints.
We sat outside which was fine but I prefer inside
Delicious! Our waiter recommended a lovely wine that I would have otherwise not know about !
We had a wonderful dinner experience. It was our 23rd anniversary. They gave us complimentary sparkling wine and a free desert. Really nice touches. The service was great without being intrusive, and all the food was fantastic. We also consulted with their wine specialist to aid us with our selection of a bottle to go with dinner. He brought out the perfect wine right within our price range. Really a very nice place for good food, and to celebrate an occasion
Truffles is our elegant go to
Cocktails are generous food is fabulous Wine list is over the top
Came here for the first time last night for date night with my husband. We ordered the truffle frites, which were amazing & probably the best part of dinner! My husband got the burger which was cooked well but the bun was so soggy that it all fell apart as soon as he took the first bite so he had to cut up the burger and eat it all with a fork. I got the roasted chicken (which was seasoned very well) but the crispy polenta just didn’t go with the rest of the meal and ended up turning soggy from the overload of mushroom juice on my plate. Good service & ambience, pricy menu but would not come back for the food.
Great food and AMAZING service. My only complaint is that the Manager/Owner seemed flat and rushed when he came to our table. Especially after I witnessed him spend 15 minutes with other guest. I didn't mind as I was enjoying my meal. However, before leaving I attempted to engage him in a conversation while waiting on my husband and received the same flat, rushed response.
We definitely plan on returning because the food and service, but suggest that Managent/Owner wait until time allows him to engage with customer if he visits a table.
This was one of our favorite restaurants pre-COVID. I took my wife there for her birthday and put a special event request via OpenTable. Truffles did not make any effort to recognize her. The food was average for a high end restaurant. The ambience was very pleasant. That left the majority of my rating based on service. We were greeted in a very friendly manner and promptly seated. After that, things went downhill. Our waitress was cold and not particularly attentive. The pace for placing our initial order was fine but dropped off as the night progresed. I placed my wine order twice with no success. Finally after the meal arrived, I was able to flag down a waiter to order oue wine again since our waitress never appeared after our initial order. One very irksome issue was the fancy steak knives that they brought us for our meal. They were so dull and ineffectual that TSA would have let them on a flight in carry on. My wife couldn't even cut her chicken with it. Of course, no waitress in sight again. She did appear at the end of our dinner after another waitstaff had boxed up the remainder of our meal. Asked if we wanted dessert, which we passed on and brought back our bill. She didn't seem to be interested if we had enjoyed our meal and scurried away. Disappointing experience.
Delicious perfectly prepared food with great atmosphere and a very attentive and helpful staff. Our waiter Matt did an excellent job taking care of us and was very helpful with our menu choices.
Great food, great service. Wonderful to enjoy a yummy dinner outside on a beautiful night and celebrate your birthday!
As a reunion among friends after more than a year of Covid caution, this proved a disappointing evening.
Imagine our surprise when we were told there was a standard corkage fee of $35 (which we might have accepted), but then our waiter announced it would be doubled to $70 if he corked the bottle. It is Truffles policy to double the corkage fee if the wine brought in happens also to be on their wine list as turned out to be the case in our circumstance. No thank you!
The patio seating was an enclosed tent; hardly the outdoor seating we anticipated. The food was mediocre at best. I had a Caesar salad with a 4-6 oz portion of grilled salmon priced at $31. The salad was meager and the salmon dry. Others at the table were equally unimpressed. I have enjoyed dinner at many fine, upscale restaurants and do not mind the inflated prices when the food warrants accolades; this was not the case at Truffles.
St. Louis has many fine restaurants which offer a superior experience.
My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary so I wanted to take her somewhere special. A friend of ours recommended Truffles, so we thought we’d give it a try.
Well you would have thoughts we were “A” list celebrities with the excellent treatment we received from the entire staff! The great service was only surpassed by the excellent food and drink!
We would strongly recommend Truffles to any and all! and we will definitely be back!
Great evening at Truffles. We always enjoy dinner here as a special treat. The Butchery Board was amazing and the steaks perfectly prepared. Matt and the rest of the service staff did a fantastic job. Look forward to coming back soon!
Great service and loved the vibe.
