Trattoria la Vigna
Served with marinara sauce
Risotto with clams, mussels, and shrimp
Dinner with friend while visiting in Galveston
This was our first time to try Trattoria la Vigna and it definitely won’t be our last! Our server was friendly and very knowledgeable about the wine selection, recommending an excellent Chardonnay to pair with our meal. Our entrées were fresh, delicious, and full of authentic flavor!
Found this little gem in Galveston. The tastes were authentic, the food was fresh, the atmosphere was open yet intimate and the server was attentive. Will definitely return when I return to Galveston
Food and atmosphere are always good here. We enjoy dining here before shows at the Grand. All pastas are homemeade and the wine selections is great. Would and have recommended.
Our table had an assortment, the seafood ravioli, tagliatelle Bolognese, veal piccata. Each dish was prepared beautifully. We frequent this restaurant for a number of reasons, but the biggest standout is their house made pasta. No matter which dish we choose, that always contributes greatly to the experience. The wait staff is gracious and just the right amount of attentive. I felt a little crowded in the restaurant's front dining room. I understand that it was a busy evening with a lot of pre-theater reservations at the time I chose.
enjoyed it, excellent place, food delicious, great overall
Great Italian menu prepared perfectly. Great service and ambience. Very consistent. Have frequented this restaurant multiple times.
New Year’s Eve
Love eating at this restaurant. Food and service are great.
Never a bad night at Trattoria. Food perfection! Must have calamari, don't know how Pina takes all the rubbery out! So fresh and tender. Of course, can't pass on the veal😘
Trattoria is a must when in Galveston.
My favorite! I'm a local and love these people. Love you Pina! Never had anything but the best here. Tonight our group had appetizers of calamari (consistently the best I've had) and tomatoes caprese. Then blue crab ravs, grouper picatta, and the always amazing way-big pork cutlet. After that, Panna Cotta(spelling?), espresso, cappuccino. And I haven't even mentioned our awesome server Lacy!
Christmas Eve dinner
Yum Yum. Tomato capers salad and Grouper was excellent
Great dinner solid service I am becoming a regular
Lovely intimate Italian atmosphere. Excellent service, amazing food. Authentic fresh food. Homemade pasta. Cheesecake is best I’ve ever had!
Pasta was fantastic, they make it fresh, in-house and you can really taste the difference. We can’t wait to go back!
Outstanding experience! Food was all fresh and delicious. Wine list was great. Service was great! Enjoyed visiting with the chef/owner. We haven't been to Trattoria La Vigna is a couple of years and the food was as good if not better then we remembered. We will definitely be back soon! This is a hidden little gem in Galveston! I highly recommend the eggplant parmesean! The best I've ever had!
This is one of our favorate places for dinner when in Galveston. We were attending a show at The Grand 1894 Opera House which is across the street. The special crab dish was outstanding and the prices reasonable for what you get. We highly recommend Tattoria la Vigna.
Outstanding! Best Italian I’ve had in Houston. Food was excellent, and portions were big. Will be back and recommend it to anyone.
Great date night spot!
Eggplant parm was delicious, friends enjoyed the crabmeat ravioli and charcuterie tray!
Everything was delicious! The Ravioli stuffed with blue crab was over the top!!
12/13/2021. Can’t say enough about how wonderful the food and service is in this hidden gem. Anna was our server and was excellent. We were just visiting Galveston for a few days and were so glad we found this restaurant. Would highly recommend.
Amazing homemade Italian food and friendly service!
Trattoria la Vigna is consistently outstanding. Great food and friendly staff.
Waitress was very distracted. Had to ask several times for bread and oil. Always had a creative, if not reasonable excuse. Spilled oil on the table and just left. Never tried to clean up the spill. Almost ran onto my wife’s lap. Very untypical of Sal and Pina’s wonderful place. Everything else was extraordinary.
Great food and service, as usual!
Great service and the food was perfect.
What a gem! This was our first dining experience at Trattoria la Vingna and we will definitely be back. The service was outstanding and the house made pasta, delicious. The star of the meal was the Panna cotta with fresh berry compote. yum!
One of my favorite restaurants on the island! Excellent lasagna and ravioli.
We felt like we were dining at an elegant old-world Italian restaurant. It was a wonderful experience, with delicious food, attentive and impeccable service, in an atmosphere of gentility and charm. We enjoyed the evening immensely.
We drive to Galveston just to dine at Trattoria la Vigna. I always get the veal dishes but my husband gets something different every time. They do not disappoint….EVER!!!!
Always outstanding, the food and hospitality never disappoints.
Consistently an outstanding option for dining out in Galveston and we often come here when in town. We both had veal marsala on this recent visit--excellent. I w ould also recommend the pork tenderloin, and look for a ravioli special. You won't go wrong at this restaurant!
Delightful evening. Fabulous dinner. We always save one evening for this fabulous restaurant when in Galveston.
It was so good Monday we went back Wednesday…and it was even better.
We enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Lovely restaurant! Very quiet and romantic :)
Completely mixed bag.
Food was mostly fabulous. Wonderful light homemade ravioli. Fresh crispy greens and delicious caprese salad.
That said, they inexplicably threw small waterlogged tasteless shrimp on all the entrees. Think shrimp at Applebee's in Omaha Nebraska. So ordinary you had to push them aside. Crabmeat mostly missing in ravioli - although they raved about this special "loaded with blue crab" . Cream sauce outstanding.
We were there on nearby "opera night". They had run out of items. No mussels, no particular wine item :(
No social distancing. NO MASKS - so pretty scary. Guess they don't care about people? No " entryway/reception" area so you wait on top of other diners and the open kitchen where employees/chefs were yelling at each other.
Restaurant definitely has logistics and flow issues. Had not changed since maybe 5 years ago when we were there last time. But somehow they made it work. Too bad...could be an outstanding gem with a bit of work.
Delicious, fresh food! We arrived at 6:00 for an 8:00 show at the Grand. The restaurant was full and they had us there on time. ♥️
The place was very popular on a night we were ticketed to a concert at the opera house. The servers knew we needed to get to our event and were timely. The website suggested to allow 2 hours before a performance. Food was great.
Odd thing happened….server said they were out of the Ruffino Chianti -and suggested another option, however the table next to us (that arrived later) was drinking the Ruffino .
