Tony P's Bar & Pizzeria - Highland Ratings and Reviews
Went with three kids at one in the afternoon. Food was great but make sure you allow plenty of time. We were one of two tables in at the time and it was 1.5 hours but we were not in a hurry. Service was adequate. They gave the kids dough to play with which was a mess but lots of fun for them. Our pizza was perfect, the wife’s salad was definitely small for the money but fresh. Our antipasto appetizer had plenty of meat but was not anything that would stand out. The kids got to make their own pizza which they love! Overall we had a nice meal at a big table and didn’t feel rushed. I’m sure we will be back again.
Yum, we really liked the food! There are 3 kinds of ravioli, all of which can be made gluten free. The GF ravioli was outstanding. The sauce and the sausage were super tasty too. Can't wait to go back and try the GF pizza. Both GF and non-GF eaters in our party were surprised by how good all the food and drinks were. I would call Tony P's a neighborhood gem.
We had a very unfortunate dining experience. We have been to both Tony P's locations multiple times so I thought it would be a great place to have a birthday dinner. I had a party of 14 people and made the reservation in advance. We show up around 7:20 on a Friday night for our 7:30 reservation. The restaurant was clearly busy but incredibly understaffed. I understand our waitress was taking on a lot of tables and doing what she could, but explaining to our table that she may or may not have been drinking before her shift was a terrible start to our service. It took over 30 minutes to receive our first round of drinks. Once we were able to place our food order she messed up a few orders, which is understandable in a large party. But, when some of the food was ready, she ended up giving another tables order to our table, and vice versa with our food. We also continued waiting for multiple other rounds of drinks that took incredibly too long to receive. By the time everything was said and done we were finally able to close out with our server 3 hours after our reservation time. I politely asked to speak with the manager and asked that we receive either our drinks comped or some sort of discount on our meal. That did not happen even after the incredibly poor service we received the ENTIRE night. Our server took off 1 pitcher of beer on one order, then proceeded to over charge on couple for the remaining beers she couldn't place on the right separate checks. It was just overall such a disastrous experience and I was incredibly disappointed with the management for not trying to handle the situation in a more professional manner. There needs to be either more staff for nights with large parties or staff who are sober enough to do their job that we happily wanted to pay for and enjoy.
This was a great over all restaurant in a vibrant historical neighborhood. The building was original inside with exposed brick wall and wooden floors.
Friendly and smiling staff eager to answer all your questions and make suggestions.
The food was authentic New York Italian and very tasty.
Awesome service and a great value for your money.
I will definitely be back again.
Tony P's was perfect! We had a pre-Avs game party of 11 and they had a great table for us (on short notice even). The server and manager were attentive and outstanding, the food was delicious and we will definitely be back! The ravioli, ziti pesto and calzone were among our favorites. As a saucier, I think their marinara is supreme! One of the few I really loved!
Great food. They bring you these amazing garlicky buttery breadsticks to start (for free!!! like chips/salsa at Mexican restaurants) Then the calzones are giant - it takes a big guy to finish one. You can order large salads to share - and they're fresh and good. And they have PBR for $2 less than that at happy hour. It's centrally located in the Highlands area - so we tend to meet there (because some friends live north and some live south)
